Chris Godwin Talks “Natural Mesh” And Brady’s Arm

August 16th, 2020

Expectations at One Buc Palace haven’t been this high since the glory days of Bucs football, when future Hall of Famers were on the roster and the team had loads of playoff experience.

Pro Bowl receiver Chris Godwin shares those expectations and his reasoning is not just about the mystique and experience of Tom Brady and Rob Gronkowski. Godwin is basing a lot of his evaluation on what he’s seen since they arrived.

“As wide receivers, we quickly realized that it’s probably not going to be that challenging, in terms of like how much time we’ll need [to build chemistry], because [Brady’s] such a smart guy and we have so many smart players here that are talented. So we feel like it’s going to be a natural mesh,” Godwin told Buccaneers.com.

Godwin went on to say he is confident the presence of Gronk and Brady will equate to fewer double teams for himself and Mike Evans. Plus, he said, Brady’s arm is exceptional — especially after he was unsure of what to expect after hearing national chatter claiming Brady had lost his fastball.

Godwin scrutinized Brady’s arm talent in person, he said, and it appears Godwin thinks it’s better than Jameis Winston’s.

“There’s a lot of velocity on the ball, a lot of touch. And it’s, like, there’s a difference,” he said. “So I’m glad people are talking down about it because I know the truth about it,” he said.

Kickoff is in 28 days.

Brady is still elite. Can’t wait for the naysayers to have to feast on crow.

Arm better than Winston’s? Great news to hear. We all know it’s more accurate- ie 30:30- but to hear it’s got heat is great news. I think this year is going to be a ton of fun.

  9. Tampabaybucfan Says:

Did Godwin actually say that Brady’s arm was better than Winston’s? Because I didn’t see that quote…….please provide it.
I suspect it’s simply an assumption.
Nevertheless, it’s great the hear from a source I trust, Godwin, that Brady’s arm is strong.

  10. AlabamaBucsFan Says:

Joe says’ “Godwin scrutinized Brady’s arm talent in person, he said, and it appears Godwin thinks it’s better than Jameis Winston’s.”

I have a hard time believing that park-violating, home-invading, NFLPA-ignoring quarterback Tom Brady has a better arm than Mr. Entertainment, America’s Quarterback, Pro Bowler Jameis Winston.

  11. Jaymiss Pick6 Again Says:

    Really good to hear.

  12. Anonymous Says:

Berrer than Winston’s arm? Like sings better.
    Nuff said.

  13. Leighroy Says:

    What’s the better arm?
    – 95mph fastball but erratic when locating strikes
    – 92mph fastball and consistently locates strikes

It’s not about velocity people. I look forward to receivers being thrown open, increasing their YAC and a qb who knows when he can’t fit one in the window vs knowing he “can” and forces an INT bc he didn’t 30 times.

  14. Jimbuc2 Says:

Better than Winston’s arm? Like rings better.
    Nuff said.

Better than Wwinston’s arm? Yeah, like six SB rings better. Chech yo sheets

I can’t wait too see how the bucs look this year

  18. All lives matter Says:

JW only throws fastballs, lot’s of velocity but he lacked touch. He could throw it up deep and fast on every pass but sucked at screens and short dump passes. Brady’s arm is special in all the types of throws to make. No more 95 mph fastballs when a receiver is 5 yards away. No wonder OJ bobbled it for an interception.

  19. No Risk It No Biscuit Says:

I need a new mouse. Sorry about the triple post. Not my intention.

  20. Cobraboy Says:

Nice to hear from a respected WR that Tom Terrific still has an accurate fastball equal to or exceeding the prior guy.

I suspect we’ll see fewer wild pitches.

“Better” could mean “the ball is where it needs to be” and not “faster.”

  21. Youngbucs Says:

Players aren’t stupid that’s all ima say.

  22. 74 Bucs Fan Says:

“Better” could mean “the ball is where it needs to be” and not “faster.”

    Bingo!

From limited videos, the ball has good zip but more importantly is on-target. How nice that the receivers can just focus on running precise routes knowing the ball will be on the money.

From the quote – I also get the feeling that the ball is easier to catch due to the “touch”. I have yet to see a Brady pass wobble – and we used to see that all the time previously.

  23. Buczilla Says:

Brady’s arm better than Winston’s?!? I would have never thought that, but Godwin would know better than anyone else outside of Mike, Brate, etc..

  24. Buc1987 Says:

    Bring on the SEASON!!!

  25. Oneilbucs Says:

Brady arm is not better than Jamies lol lol 😆 . Brady is 43 years old and you really believe that his arm is better than a 26 year old quarterback . It’s second string and may be even practice squad quarterbacks arm is stronger than Brady arms right now . I will tell you this Brady arm is not going to last a hold season if they have him throwing 45 times a game . I still don’t understand why a quarterback has to throw 45 to 50 times a game rather he’s a number one over all pick or a 7th round draft pick . Look at the Titans they mad Marito throw 45 times a game and he struggled . Then they bench him and brought Tannahill in he average 23 throws a game and that’s why they won last year .

  26. Leighroy Says:

Oneilbucs that’s an awful apples and oranges comparison. You clearly didn’t read anyone else’s posts about what “better” means, but no one argued that his arm is stronger than Jameis’.

But let’s “check yo sheet!” since you don’t care to: Marriota threw over 40 passes just 6 times in his 63 game TEN career. Plus, the titans had the leading rusher in the NFL in Derrick Henry last year. Damn right Tannehill didn’t have to throw so often bc him!

I’d ask what exactly is your point, but you don’t really have (a good) one do you?

  27. Doctor Stroud Says:

Yeah, that Marito was a really bad QB.

  28. mark2001 Says:

Wow…if he arm is as good as Jameis’s, who can say this wasn’t a good decision to move on, considering that Brady brings a huge skill set in addition to his arm? That still leaves Jameis as being more mobile, but lets see how that plays out.

  29. Cobraboy Says:

I played with a guy, Matthew Reid from Grambling, who I witnessed throw a ball released from the 35 through the goalposts 75 yards away. Incredible. He did it twice on a dare. Amazing arm strength and fastball. You never knew where the ball was going on an actual play, however.

He backed up an older George Mira who was a far better QB without much of a fastball. But he was accurate.

I’ll trade experience, knowledge, leadership and accuracy any day over sheets, ballin’ and arm strength.

BA will, too. Prolly Sean Peyton.

  30. stpetebucsfan Says:

    TBBF

I see the old journalist in you wants actual attribution of what CG14 said.

And you are correct to suggest there is a lot of inference in the quote.

“There’s a lot of velocity on the ball, a lot of touch. And it’s, like, there’s a difference,” he said.

Cobra was on to it. First he said TWO things and then said there’s a difference.
A difference in both? Or just the second part of the comment..a lot of touch.

And as Cobra suggested finding the ball thrown in the proper spot.

  31. Oneilbucs Says:

Leighor My brother is a Titan fan and he will tell you the same thing . I actually watched the Titan play after the bucs go off if they are not playing at the same time . Marito threw the ball 40 times a game just about . Again a quarterback shouldn’t have to throw 40 times a game . The Seahawks doesn’t have to the 49ers was more of a running team . All the teams that lead the league in passing yards didn’t make the playoffs . Throwing the ball 45 times a game haven’t worked out for us the past 10 years . Other than 2010 when we had a balance offense our quarterback played well that year and our defense .

  32. Oneilbucs Says:

Leighor My point is that we have to have a balance offense wich means we have to be able to run the ball if we can’t run or if we don’t call run plays we are going to lose . Last year Brady was carried by the defense after the runningback Sony Mitchell got hurt . Brady is 43 he is not the same guy he was at 28 or 30 . Brady will not last a hold season if we don’t or can’t run the ball . I don’t understand why some of yall believe that Brady will make everything happen on his own he couldn’t do it last year he finish with a pick 6 . That’s why to me defense will detriment if we lose or win .

  33. Youngbucs Says:

Oneilbucs you do know Brady and Winston both passed a lot last year. Go check instead of spewing nonsense. And just because you throw a lot is not an excuse for ints. Some QBs are just better it’s that simple Brady has played 20 years and has never thrown more than 14 in a season. That’s not luck that’s skills look at Rogers air it out most his career still wasn’t a pick magnet. It’s levels to playing QB you just can’t admit that winston is not on that level chill.

  34. Youngbucs Says:

So happy the Bucs grew a pair and cut the cord on that project!!!!

  35. Oneilbucs Says:

youngbucs If you throw the ball alot without a threat in the back field you become easy to stop . And if I recalled the packers miss the playoffs 2 years in a row because they couldn’t run the ball . Rogers has probowlers on his offensive line . Now Rogers lead the league in throw aways and Brady was right behind him . But both teams had defenses that was good . Brady had the number 1 defense in league last year . How come yall never bring that up . Go look at the Patriots defense the last 20 years . Go see how many times their defense gave up 30 points in a season . That’s another fact no one wants to admit about the Patriots . He played with hall of famers on the defense side of the ball . You think that contributed to those superbowls and winning seasons ???? Man come on now that’s my hold point on every thing about the bucs and Jamies and now with Brady . It’s a team game !!!! So when I say go bucs I’m talking about the hold team not just the quarterback but also special teams as well !!! Go Bucs !!!

  36. Cobraboy Says:

@Oneillbucs: yes, it is indeed a team game.

And the “team” lost faith in Winston. Please not the lack of tears and angst among Buc players when that happened. Yeah, a couple of kind proactive words to retard any possible flames on the bridge, but few, if any, expressed any real anger or disappointment.

    Take a cue from them.

Whether it’s Brady or some other QB, Winston’s time in Tampa was over.

Your girlfreid is gone. She has moved on without you. Time for you to move on.

Deal with it and try to live an enjoyable life. Otherwise you look like a moping adolescent who’s first crush moved to another town.

  37. Oneilbucs Says:

Cobraboy you said a hold bunch of nothing and still didn’t understand what I was saying . Again go look at the teams that Brady played on and I know all you and some of yall focus on is quarterback and nothing else . You are a national media sheep you believe everything that they tell you I get your point . And by the way even Godwin said that the wrs could be blamed for some of those interceptions. So I’m done arguing with yall about Jamies and any other quarterback . I’m starting to believe that yall used football or other sports to escape life like what they say on ESPN or fox sports and if that’s true then you are in bad shape .

  38. Bucsfan951 Says:

    O’Neil

Or you can spin in and say teams stacked the box more to make the Bucs throw the ball.

Pretty simple game plan. Stack the box, recognize it’s a pass play and drop the linebackers into coverage and wait for the int. How many backers got an int gifted to them by jw?

And throwing the ball “45” times a game?… yeah that happens when you fall behind early in games. Jw threw 10 ints in the first quarter last yr. 10! And don’t forget 24 ints in bucs territory.

  39. Bucsfan951 Says:

VH3 quote before playing the Bucs, as a Texan

“He turns the ball over. It’s no secret. So if we can get our hands on some balls, hopefully we can come down with some balls.”

That shows you that teams know JW is turnover prone and they game plan against the run to force him to throw. 450 yards is useless when you turn the ball over a little more than 2 times a game.

  40. Oneilbucs Says:

Bucfan51 I respect what you are saying bro and I’m not a guy who doesn’t blame Jamies for nothing . But to your point the rams tried to stack the line on Jamies and he picked them apart . The Gaints did the same thing and the Seahawks and the Panthers the first game and he played well . It was also games where we were leading and we still couldn’t are we just didn’t run the ball and that’s my problem with the play calling . Ro Jo needs to run the ball at least 23 times a game . Last year they wouldn’t let him get going .

  41. Cobraboy Says:

    Oneilbucs Says:

Cobraboy you said a hold bunch of nothing and still didn’t understand what I was saying .

Oh, I understood all right: “Yay!!! Jameis!!! Brady Man Bad.” Again. Ad naseum.

That’s because, as the saying goes, you’re not exactly the sharpest tool in the box.

    Sharply obsessive? Yes. Indubitably.

A sharp tool? No. About as sharp as a potato (or is the potatoes?)

He’s gone, Boo. Go fap on a Saint’s board…IF they are even talking about their 3rd string QB on a vet minimum deal coming off a disastrous turnover season. Maybe you’ll find the pup and that house guy there. Birds of a Feather and all that…

  42. SB Says:

It takes a real idiot to not be able to see that teams stacked against us to shut down the run ON PURPOSE!!!!!

The other teams WANTED JW2 to throw the ball!!!
Every time a team played us the DBs were expecting an early Christmas.
    And they usually got it

  43. Bucsfan951 Says:

    O’Neil

Yeah it’s very frustrating with them not committing to rojo. Averaging 10.75 runs per game just isn’t enough.

And for the love of god, can he please break off a 75 yard run for a td. I’ve been waiting for that for what seems like forever lol

  44. Tampabaybucfan Says:

    @ St. Pete

Yep…..Godwin had some good things to say about Brady’s arm…..but he didn’t make a direct comparison to Winston…..he did say that there was a “difference”……..and that we can assume to mean difference from Winston…..but we have to assume.

Now….”better” could mean many things….probably the combination of timing, velocity and accuracy……and I suspect he is right about that.

  45. Oneilbucs Says:

Bucfan51 I think this year we are going to really run the ball more . I’ve said it before I really didn’t know how good RO Jo was . But I seen where he average 4 yards a carry wich is good for a running back . And they said he’s gotten bigger so I think he will get a 1,000 yards this year if given the opportunity ..

  46. Christopher Schiefen Says:

Been saying for years Winston’s arm strength is wildly overrated. Now combine that with inaccuracy (that wonky ring finger couldn’t have helped) and semi-spastic decision making, & it was all kinda a nightmare.

  47. Oneilbucs Says:

Cobraboy and SB The more yall talking the more yall prove that yall really don’t know nothing about football or yall Just hate Jamies that much . Because the only position yall talk about is quarterback regardless of what I say about the team as hold . Look ok I think we should have kept Jamies yall believe in letting him walk lol 😆😂 . It’s ok to disagree we will find out next year because of the pandemic and it’s a lot of Colleges that’s not going to be playing this year so we just might find out next year are in the future . Yall need to go find a quarterback sports page to talk on .

  48. Alanbucsfan Says:

    Oneilbucs-

Don’t count out Jameis being signed as Buc in 2022 if he has 2 decent years.
It’s really up to Jameis’ performance when he gets opportunities.

  49. Oneilbucs Says:

Alanbucsfan I feel bro but I hope by that time we have another guy who’s playing good with us because Brady contract is optional and 2021 means that it’s not a garoteain he will be back or less he’s ballin out . I just hope with the next guy we do it the right way bro . We can’t expect or put all the pressure on one guy . A runninggame is a quarterback best friend and I will always believe that .

  50. Alanbucsfan Says:

    Oneilbucs-
I think with the upgrades at RT and TE and the deeper talent at RB, combined with Brady’s experience at reading defenses, the running game will be great this year.

  51. Oneilbucs Says:

Alanbucfan You know what you probably right because I think teams are going to be focus more on Brady then anything . And that will open up the running game . I just hope Ro Jo step up .

  52. JimmyJack Says:

O’Neil right on about throwing 45 times a game. Luckily I’m certain that’s not the plan……..We just used our first draft choice on a RT. You only take a RT if you are upgrading your Rush attack…….adding another rookie RB and McCoy also shows us they want a better rushing attack.

On defense it was pretty easy to see the progress we made there. We seem to have enough talent. If Bowles is any good he will have us playing at least at a average level. Minimal expectation.

  53. Youngbucs Says:

Oneilbucs you know nothing about football!!!!! Defense and run gm excuses are no reason to consistently throw ints your 5 year buc career!!!!! Nobody I repeat nobody is blaming him for all losses. You keep talking about the pats defense what does that have to do with Brady decisions with the ball????? Winston was just a free agent it’s like being drafted again except this time ain’t nobody pay top dollar for maybe potential!!! I don’t care what excuses y’all make for him until he gets the ints under control he’ll be a journeyman that’s a fact for you. He has to get better that’s the bottom line we all know that a few of you are just to tight to admit it!!!

  54. Youngbucs Says:

I guarantee to you if there are gms were Brady has to throw 40 times he still not gonna throw 4-5-6 ints. It’s such a weak excuse

  55. Oneilbucs Says:

Youngbucs go find a quarterback website because I really don’t care about how you feel about Jamies or any other quarterback . Again all you want to do is argue about quarterback because you know nothing about football so go watch Colin Cowherd and you can hear about quarterbacks and his excuses about Sam Donald and how Bakermayfield sucks . I like to talk about the hold team not just the quarterback . Again I think we should have kept Jamies and that’s my opinion . Just like you think we are better off long term that’s your opinion . So please if you are not going to talk about the hold team I really don’t care to hear you .

  56. Cobraboy Says:

    Oneilbucs Says:

Cobraboy and SB The more yall talking the more yall prove that yall really don’t know nothing about football

Right. I know nothing about football.

or yall Just hate Jamies that much

I don’t hate any football player. My heart did, however, grow cold over his turnovers, holding the ball too long, throwing into coverage, poor leadership..and seemingly inability to learn from his mistakes.

I was a Winston supporter before I wanted him gone.

He had potential…until he didn’t have potential.

What I don’t understand id the Winston jock-sniffing after he inexcusably and single-handedly blew the last two games.

All he had to do is win those games. The Bucs would finish 9-7, the future would look bright and he’d still be a Buc.

But he choked, and the entire NFL knew it.

I am happy the guy is gone, overjoyed the GOAT is in pewter and red, blissful the team shows great promise, enthusiastic at the player enthusiasm…and frankly couldn’t care less what happens to Winston in the future.

Give it up, little bro. Move on. Make a decision: support the Bucs or support Winston.

  57. Youngbucs Says:

Whatever dude you live in a excuse filled fantasy world. The reason winston is a backup right now is because of decision making. All that other stuff is fodder and don’t put words in my mouth what I look like hating some mediocre QB I don’t know get a life.

  58. Youngbucs Says:

You’re a straight fool if you believe if he gets an opportunity to play with the saints they gonna put up with the turnovers. Winstons grace period in the nfl is over he better step up or he gonna get step over!!!!

  59. Youngbucs Says:

Cobraboy don’t waste your time they think winston better than everyone 😂QBS drafted after him have better decision making.

  60. Oneilbucs Says:

Cobraboy look all the jock strap talk is just stupid . I’m not a gay man bro so I don’t think about another man’s jock strap or nuts like yall love to say about people that has a different opinion . I can say the same thing about you and Brady . But I don’t think about stuff like that because I’m not gay . And to your point about the last 2 games this is my last time saying anything else about it . Jamies played with a broken finger on his throwing hand plus a knee injury . Not to mention we had a field goal kicker that miss 4 field goals if he makes 1 of them then we wouldn’t be talking about this right now . Than Jamies played without 2 of his wr and played with wr he didn’t have the hold year. Now last year everyone talked about the wr Brady had and that’s why he struggle and threw a pick 6 to end their season . This is another year now and just hope that Brady doesn’t have to throw 45 times a game because if he does we are going to lose .

  61. Youngbucs Says:

    You hope we lose bum

  62. Youngbucs Says:

Oneilbucs who you rooting for week 1 tell the truth. Don’t be fake for the comments be a man and say it. You’re butt hurt and it shows admit it you want the Bucs to fail.

  63. Youngbucs Says:

Fact alert 🚨 Brady threw 613x last year winston 626 throwing a lot is no excuse for ints!!!!! Fact alert 🚨 Brady had no 100yd rusher last year running gm is not an excuse to throw ints!!!!!! Who wants more facts a got plenty!!!!!

  64. SB Says:

Oneil……..Not one person here agrees with your views.
We are all stupid and you are Brilliant
    We get it you buffoon.

  65. Youngbucs Says:

Who wants to know how many attempts a gm Brady averages for his career?????? Without being a turnover machine these false narratives I swear!!!!

  66. JimmyJack Says:

We got a lot of fans who just could not handle being a fan of Winston. He was just too much for yall. Some of yall have no ability to rationally look at his play on the field and make a judgement.

Let me sum it up for you. Winston was good on some Sundays and was outright trash in other games. He wasnt ever great cause he’s not consistent. And hell never be great without consistently. That’s the reality.

And Cobras right. Winston choked on them last two games. It happens in sports…….Our kicker and TE also choked. The key is getting players on the field who can help you win. Replacing those who cant. That’s why Winston gone.

  67. SB Says:

Youngbucs ……you should have learned from besting Ndog that these nuthuggers don’t want to hear Broad facts. They only want to cherry pick!

  68. Youngbucs Says:

Wait wait I got a FACT it’s my own personal FACT. No matter what your defense does it’s no excuse to throw bone head ints!!!

  69. Youngbucs Says:

SB winston has all the talent and potential in the world I know that. But I’m not some race baitin 🤡 thts gonna make excuses for him if gets his mental part of the gm down he’ll be great it’s not about all that other fodder. He has to take that next step within him self I’m rooting for him.

  70. Oneilbucs Says:

SB you are any other person that has a different opinion from me is ok . That’s your view I have a different opinion about the situation and that’s ok lol lol lol . Man yall a trip !!!

  71. Oneilbucs Says:

youngbucs let me tell you something right now if the bucs win I sleep well and if they lose I sleep well . I hope the bucs go 16 and 0 is that good enough for you ??

  72. Youngbucs Says:

Yea thts good enough for me now stop trying to tear the team down before the season starts. This is not last year it’s a new year let’s see how it plays out!!!!!’

  73. Oneilbucs Says:

youngbucs Lol 😆😂 tare the team down because I disagree with you on certain things about the team ok ! Lol 😆🤣

  74. lambchop Says:

Why don’t we just talk about the current roster and bury Jameis Winston already? He has been throwing INTs since FSU. Nothing new, nothing to defend. He had a an OC promoted to HC to help him develop, teammates were divided on his accountability and consistency, and ex-teammates knew they could get some INTs. Can anyone say that about Tom Brady? They KNOW they can get a few INTs? Teams are on notice that the Bucs of old are gone. We needed a culture change, and that doesn’t always have to happen from a coaching change. It’s a mentality. Going into a game confident that you have a leader at QB that isn’t going to contribute to the problem at other positions. The QB is the defacto leader on the field, if he good, then that will raise the level of play all around. Nobody can think, well, dang our QB is erratic so if I screw up, it’s no big.

New team, new players, new year. Let’s move on. Go Bucs!

  75. geno711 Says:

Very interesting that Godwin likes Brady arm talent better than that of Jameis Winston. I think that was the one thing most of us were wondering about.

    We all knew:
Brady interceptions this year more likely 10-15 compared to Jameis 30 last year.
Brady fumbles this year 1-4 compared to Jameis 12 last year.
Sacks this year – 30-37 compared to 47 for Jameis holding the ball to long last year .
    Less penalties as well.

Now we also know that the wide receiver actually feels he has better arm talen as well.

    What an outstanding signing!
Glad we have moved on from a guy to a stud!

  76. Cobraboy Says:

@Onelibucs: “jock sniffer” is what we used to call hangers-on who thought hanging with pros away from the field made them one, too.

I find it humourous you thought it meant “gay.”

Hard not to appreciate the GOAT.

  77. lambchop Says:

Talent = Gold Stars and Ribbons for YOU.

Leadership, Accountability, Consistency, Hard Work = Rings for EVERYONE.

    I have spoken.

  78. Youngbucs Says:

Oneilbucs no you tearing the team down because you mad he’s not here. I tried to be peaceful with you but whatever. Let’s see what this team can do without Winston is that fair enough for you?????? You keep talking about last year that’s over the Bucs have turned the page. How can you honestly believe that not having all the turnovers will benefit the team??? I’m not saying it will be perfect but for me I know what turnovers do to team morale and GAME PLANS. You love to talk about run gm and defense but turnovers have a negative affect on both you can’t be that silly to not get understand that can you??? Brady is an upgrade even at 43 years old Stevie Wonder can see that. That 10 years bull you be talking is fools gold we have playmakers on this team we can’t keep waiting for winston to get it be logical. Lavonte and others ain’t getting no younger the nfl is about maximizing windows. Winston is to inconsistent to keep hoping he gets it.

Cobraboy I didn’t grow up in this new generation where I’m from it’s a snig of disrespect .

  81. Oneilbucs Says:

youngbucs I still think it’s a bad idea to let go of a 26 year old quarterback that has proven that with a running game he would have been good . At some point we have to realize that we have done a bad job on developing quarterbacks . And it can’t be every quarterback . When Jamies had a running game in college he only lost 1 game in college . This fan base needs to be patient and look at the hold team .

  82. Youngbucs Says:

Bro you talking bout college still 😂 you a lost cause I give up with you

  83. Youngbucs Says:

You can’t dispute nothing I just said 💯

  84. Youngbucs Says:

And the only thing winston has proven is that he’s inconsistent FACT!!!!!!

  85. David Says:

Some people are clueless on this website. Brady’s arm being better than Jameis’s Simply means he has good velocity, but mainly, he’s more accurate and has better touch. Those are not hard things to do. Brady hits receivers in stride, Jameis rarely did.
It doesn’t mean Brady can launch it further down field, but who cares if you’re more accurate on a deep ball.

    Nor I.

    where I’m from it’s a snig of disrespect .

    Don’t be shankin’ me…

Where I’m from Respect is Earned.

I assume “snig” is a typo. I also wish JBF gave 5 minutes to edit posts. Posting from a cell phone is challenging with manly fingers…

  87. David Says:

These comparisons between Brady and JW are idiotic. JW has been the biggest turnover machine in the NFL since he entered the league.
Get the hell over it and move on!
The guy has never matured, does not move around well in the pocket, he dances and panics.
He had years and never stopped throwing several balls a game that could be intercepted, Plus the number of times he fumbles.
Yes the team has had other problems, but when your leader is single-handedly costing you a couple games a year, it wears thin.
It was time to move on one way or the other, so they did.
If you’re a fan, you should too

  88. Oneilbucs Says:

youngbucs that was the last time he had a good team around him . And you haven’t answered my question . It can’t be every quarterback. But I’m done with the talk this year will tell it all . I’m a real football fan to other people a lot of people said the superbowl from 2 years ago was a bad superbowl but I loved it . It was one of the best superbowl ever to me . I love seeing good defenses on the field I can care less about a 45 to 54 game like the rams game .

  89. Oneilbucs Says:

And let be known today is the last time I’m spending time on the quarterback . If yall ain’t going to talk about the hold team then we don’t have nothing to talk about .

  90. John Says:

I’m sure his arm looks great now, but should he get some nagging injuries that he’ll be more prone to, the arm might not look so great 9 or 10 games into the season. When you hit late 30s-40s, healing comes real slow. Should he stay upright and mostly healthy, they’ll be in good shape to have success, but it’s hard to believe he won’t fade later in the season when he gets dinged up. Look at Brees last few years, great zip on the ball, looks unstoppable first part of season, fades late.

youngbucs I’m about the hold team the only thing yall talk about is one position .
