Bucs Have A New Kicker

August 31st, 2020

New Bucs kicker Ryan Succop.

Look out, Matt Gay.

The Bucs aren’t farting around this year, which makes Joe think signing Leonard Fournette isn’t a pipe dream.

The Bucs, with lousy kicking for an insanely long six seasons and counting, tonight signed former Titans and Chiefs kicker Ryan Succop reports Tom Pelissero of NFL Network.

So Joe is now guessing this is the end of AAF legend and former Orlando Spurriers kicker Elliot Fry, who was just brutal last Friday at the Den of Depression in a Bucs scrimmage.

Fry clanged the left upright on the north field goal posts on an extra point attempt and later badly butchered wide right and short a field goal attempt kicking at the dreaded south end zone field goal post.

Gay better get better. Quickly. Arians the past week has been grousing about his kickers and he did something about it.

Joe would not be surprised if Gay finds himself on the practice squad in this zany football season.

Still wonder why Licht wasted draft capital on another kicker in Gay.

  2. SteelStudBuc Says:

Good kicker signing, always liked Succop. Hes got a chance to take the starting job. Gay better step up his game or he gone.
Not a fan of Leonard Fournette, I think the Bucs backfield is looking good… I’m optimistic about them and I think Fournette isn’t a good fit.

  3. Fan from above Says:

Gay is our worst starter. He shouldn’t make it past training camp.

  4. Drunkinybor Says:

Normally I would be against signing Fournette. But nothing about this season is normal. I’m very loyal to a fault. Imagine Jones starting Fournette backing him up and shady as our third back. Wow!! Dare has worked his butt off we drafted Raymond and Keyshuan but realistically Jones, Fournette, and shady is hard to pass up.

    Upgrade. Bigly.

  6. Alan Collingwood Says:

Realistically, could the Bucs a) sign Founette (at an affordable price), b) wait 4 days before his COVID tests were all clear, and c) decide who to let go to make room for him before 4PM on Saturday? I don’t see that happening

  7. AlabamaBucsFan Says:

Still think Gay will pull it off. From what I have been reading, Gay had a pretty good camp but a few bad days really overshadowed his good days. Gay actually performed better than Gramatica’s rookie season.

  8. Bucsfanman Says:

We need a competent and consistent kicker. This signing goes to show how poorly Gay is doing. It’s not good enough.

  9. Ndog Says:

But according to coach liar it was all the QBs fault!!!!!!

    Why make more changes!?!?!?!?

  10. Oneilbucs Says:

NDOG I said the same thing I thought it was Jamies fault as well .

  11. lambchop Says:

Yes, the kicker threw 30 INTs. Everyone is replaceable. The QB is not untouchable. You think Tom Brady is going to throw 30 INTs?

Again, I repeat, Josh Freeman’s best season is better than Winston’s best season!

  12. Bucsfanman Says:

You guys make me laugh. You’re like that bitter, jaded high school girl who didn’t get asked to prom by the boy she liked.
    Do you need a hug?!

Who’s the liar? Didn’t you say you were leaving this site for good?

    The professional victim is back!

THANK GOD THE GOOGLE USING CANCER IS GONE!!! WE CAN FINALLY BREATHE AGAIN!!!

  14. Bradinator Says:

Look, the real solution is to put jacks under Raymond James and rotate it 90 degrees so there’s no South end zone. Problem solved! With all the money we spent on kickers since Matt Bryant was kicked to the curb like Men-At-Work after their second album, we could have done this!

  15. miken Says:

I like Succup. He may be getting older but he is mentally strong and won’t flake out like these young guys.

  16. miken Says:

Remember… no matter who kicks, if brady throws 4 picks and the kicker misses a fg and we lose, it’s the kickers fault.

sorry folks…i forgot to lock the cage…..

Unlike most I tell the truth without bias, today the QB sucked. Now Barber had a bad fumble, Perriman didn’t come back on the third pick, Jones fell on what would have been a huge screen play, OJ stopped running on a route and we had a FG blocked BUT if the QB plays better then we win this game period. The defense played fantastic, the running game wasn’t horrible and the oline provided good protection. That is not common but today it was so this loss falls on the QB.

you see mutt!!!!!!…despite all the kicking issues, as you stated,”BUT if the QB plays better then we win this game period.”

so BA is correct!!!!!!…BA aint lying….the only thing BA lied about was claiming JW was an option to return…lol…

NOW GO BACK IN YOUR CAGE AND DONT COME OUT UNTIL JW IS A STARTER IN THE NFL!!!!!!

    GO BUCS!!!!!
