Projection: Bucs Make Playoffs

May 5th, 2020

“We’re going to do it Ira.”

Based on the keyboard peckings of one spreadsheeter, the Bucs will (finally) be playoff bound in January.

Mike Clay of BSPN, who is all about numbers, thinks based on his high-priced calculator, the Bucs will end their 13-year playoff drought, longest in the NFC.

As a result, the Bucs will finish second in the NFC South to the New Orleans Saints. The Bucs will start the playoffs on the road, Clay believes, but thankfully in a dome as they face the Minnesota Vikings — where it will be frigid outside but nice and toasty inside.

You can see predictions for every NFL team and division standings below. For a better view, click on the image.

  4. Ndog Says:

Wouldn’t it be so exciting if this was the first playoff year of like a 10-year playoff run? Man that’d be exciting we could have possibly had a decade worth of opportunities to win the Super Bowl. Oh well I guess we’ll settle for good luck for 2 years and after that who knows, so exciting.
    😒😟

  5. Smashsquatch Says:

Greed is good, F the Saints. We’re winning the South!

  6. Youngbucs Says:

I’ll settle for 2 years of good luck. It’s better than that 5 year bad luck charm you selling. I mean he has the be the most unlucky QB of all time nothing is ever his fault 🤷🏽‍♂️

  7. jerk04 Says:

    NPUP

you are so predictable and so absurd. This article has nothing to do with that predator Winston wasn’t picked up by anybody for weeks. He is being paid the league minimum. You are the only moron spouting off next decade crap. He had 5 years and did nothing. Haul a$$ moron.

  8. jerk04 Says:

close to league minimum. in case the pup wants to hang his hat on that statement

  9. JimmyJack Says:

Joe you lost me with calculator.

  10. JimmyJack Says:

NDog this was not never and was not going to be a playoff team with that choke artist squirming to try and lead us.

Stop pretending that he was getting the job done because he early was not.

Happy Gerald McCoy Day. Thanks for another garbage take.

  11. Buczilla Says:

I think that the winner of our division will be determined by which old man (Brady, Brees, or Ryan) is left standing at the end since there are no viable backups behind any of them. If they all stay healthy, then it’s a toss up. I don’t see the panthers (I refuse to capitalize their name) winning more than a handful of games.

  12. Robert Says:

the Saints aint making it. I’m calling it now. Brees doesn’t have the weapons or the defense. that, and if he goes down they get the ATM.

  13. Doc Says:

To bad, we do not play the games on paper.

  14. Robert Says:

I thought npuppy moved to the saints board. send one of the j b f writers with him

  15. Joeypoppems Says:

My biggest takeaway from this is that he has the Bucs strength of schedule 11th. Lets just hope we dont have another 7 week road stretch this year lol.

If the Bucs dont make the playoffs with them adding a 7th seed this year, this franchise is simply cursed

  16. SC Bucs Fan Says:

Yeah Ndog becasue of all the payoff excitement we had with JW at the helm. Open your eyes.

  17. JimmyJack Says:

Calling for a start of a 10 year playoff run is downright obnoxious. It’s being ignorantly blind to facts.

Real fans saw how far Winston is away from leading us to the playoffs whenever we played a real playoff team(a weaker one at that) late in the season where they had everything to play for. A performance like that just don’t go away because you close your ears and eyes.

That was a game to step up and proove something. Not just Winston the whole team. Almost every day around him prooved they was ready to contend. Winston prooved something quite different.

  18. Mike Johnson Says:

    The Hype continues..Year after Year.

  19. Geno711 Says:

I agree with NDOG. We have a chance for a 10 year run in the playoffs now that Jameis Winston is no longer the QB. 😁😁. He is slightly concerned that Brady might only be here two years but at least has finally accepted the Truth about Jameis.being a less than average backup and not a top 10 quarterback.

  20. Tye Says:

its like riding in a Lamborghini but the difference is:

The new driver is well experienced and the ride is an exciting and enjoyable thrill!

    Exciting times!

  21. Mort Says:

How in the hell can you win .6 of a game? Would it be better to look at literally all of the games, pick winners and losers, and then see where you are at?

  22. Tye Says:

Geno… He is not even in the top 32 as far as depth charts go… No team even thought of him as a starter… may even be 3rd string.. 1.1 Mil.

  23. miken Says:

Hell yes we are making the playoffs.

  24. Doc Says:

Cap hell for the next three years, good luck with that, thanks to the worst G.M. in any sport.

  25. Ndog Says:

Bucs offensive and defensive rankings in points in last 10 years:
    2010: O: 20th, D: 9th
    2011: O: 27th, D:32nd
    2012: O: 13th, D: 23rd
    2013: O: 30th, D: 21st
    2014: O: 29th, D: 25th
    2015: O: 20th, D: 26th
    2016: O: 18th, D: 15th (9-7)
    2017: O: 18th, D: 22nd
    2018: O: 12th, D: 31st
    2019: O: 3rd, D: 29th

So you people are seriously going to sit here and blame the QB for us losing when the defense has been trash since the 4 years BEFORE HE EVEN GOT HERE! And BTW let’s look at that weird trend since 2015 on offense were the scoring gets better and better. I wonder what changed that year?????? And look at that the ONE YEAR that horrible bum QB got a defense in the top 20 we went 9-7, isn’t that amazing.

So now that we have a decent to good defense, a real RT and a second year in an offense we wouldn’t be looking like a playoff team? Ok guys you can sniff more glue if you like but this team WAS set for a decade of playoffs appearances with a chance at multiple SuperBowl chances and now we get a two year window. You can lie to yourselves all you want but the proof lies right there above on the numbers.

  26. SC Bucs Fan Says:

Paying 30M for a guy who throws 30 interceptions. Sign Ndog for GM. And make his JWs personal driver.

  27. Ndog Says:

No instead we paid 35 million for a guy that wants to pad his stats for personal gain and is 43 years old and a dude coming out of retirement that might last 2 years. Great long term vision there.

I NEVER questioned your Buc fandom until now. Come on man, grow up and quit feeling sorry for yourself.
Don’t worry, your life isn’t meaningless, you are blessed with another day above dirt which means you have the opportunity to do something great with your life.

  31. Tampabuscsbro Says:

All Jameis needs is a top 5 defense, all pro offensive line, all pro recievers cause his pro bowl WRs are no good, a league MVP running game and we may just have a winning record with all of that.

God forbid you expect more of your 5 year veteran to be able to be leaned on to keep the work in progress defense out of trouble.

    GOD FORBID.

  32. Allbuccedup Says:

Fingers crossed. I believe 10.6 wins more accurate.

  33. JimmyJack Says:

Again……..We got into a late season game against a playoff team. We beat them in nearly every facet of the game and Whinson crapped all over himself. That’s not a playoff team.

And no making excuses for winning numbnuts. We are bringing back the same team from last year. Stop pretending like a RT and whatever other little moves we made are going to be the difference. The difference is going to be the QB. It’s undenyable.

Like he didn’t have good defense in the game I mentioned! Absolutely did. And did several times this year and that all over himself. Wipe your butt with them rankings. Stats don’t win football games…….Having a QB who soil himself 5,6,7 times per season does.

  34. Godlovesbucs Says:

Those defense numbers are skewed, they don’t take into account all the pick 6 and short field tds. The d was good last year but ranked 29th due to those counting against them.

  38. JimmyJack Says:

First game of the season. Chance to start the season off with momentum. Dude soils himself. After a bumpy start has a chance to get us over 500% in London. Totally soils himself.

Saturday Night big chance for a surging team to prove their worth……Completely soils himself.

Chance to end the season on a positive. Can’t move the ball all game and soils himself in OT

You can blame the defense all you like numbnuts. But the offense did contribute plenty to losing. Undenyable fact. Your little perfume(thanks Joe) of stats does not change the truth.

Really so I guess these games⬇️ never happened?

    Giants game TD drives: 75, 75, 80, 75 (4 drives over 75 yards)
    Seattle game TD drives: 75, 60, 85, 75, 75 (4 drives over 75 yards)
    Rams game TD drives: 50, 75, 75, 75 (3 drives over 75 yards)
    NO game TD drives: 75, 75, 75, 91 (4 drives over 75 yards)
    Arz game TD drives: 96, 75, 75 (3 drives over 75 yards)
Atl game allowed two 4th quarter drives to tie the game: 37 and 65

That’s right that is 18 drives allowed for TDs of 75 yarfs or more in just 5 games and a blown 4th quarter leaf with 2 chances to stop them.

  40. Ndog Says:

JimmyJack you keep lying about that 49er game if it makes you feel better but those of us that have eyes knows what really happened that day.

  41. JimmyJack Says:

Godlovesbucs…….And if you really wanted you could fight them little ranking with plenty other stats showcasing how our defense was much better then those numbers show………Those are one little cherry picked number. There’s plenty of deeper analytics and hard numbers that tell a whole nother story about our defense.

Now the defense did have their share of bad moments. Won’t lie about that. And they also had a lot of fine performances and was let down by the leader on offense.

  42. Jean Lafitte Says:

    Ndog

Your schtick is stale ..move on. You act like a slap stick prodigy of ginger Joe. If I didn’t know any better I’d think there maybe some connection between you and Joe. One thing, with all the nasty things you’ve said, you’ve never been put into purgatory moderation like most of us are or have been.

  43. JimmyJack Says:

Ok NDog. A screen play breaks down on first down of a game winning drive so the QB pannicks and just throws the ball up into the air.

Yeah whatever chump…….Tell me some fancy excuse story for it. The dude has been throwing balls up for grabs his entire career. At some point you lose the benefit of the doubt.

And on first drive too…..That one still sticks in my crawl.

Oh and by the way……the other pick six(which one? I know right) in that game….The receiver running a wrong route was another excuse/myth. All ready been debunked based on film guy. No matter how the RB runs he never has a chance to get to the spot the ball was thrown. Best case is it doesn’t just look like a stupid decision just a bad overthrow……Pick either way hahahahah. But go head keep excusing.

  44. Ndog Says:

I love it you guys just can’t stand the FACTS can you????

It warms my heart to see you all realize I’m right. It must suck to always be on the wrong side of a debate. I kinda feel bad for you guys sometimes. Sorry about that….

  45. jerk04 Says:

Here is a simple fact that isn’t talked about enough on here. The organization will be much better because of Brady long after he has left. Most of the guys have no clue what it means to be on an NFL winning organization. Super Bowl or not we will be much better while brady is here and after because what he and Gronk will bring to that locker room. Accountability will be higher, the way they practice will be more intense and they will be held to a higher level of expectations because of those 2 individuals. Brady’s mentality is rare, and what that will instill in the players while he is here will last their careers making the organization and the players much much better. He will raise the bar while he is here and the players will learn from that and take that with them while he isn’t. That is something Winston has never and will never bring to a team.

This organization will be better off when Brady retires super bowl or not because of what he will bring to this team and those players. Brady will leave a lasting effect on his teammates that will change their preparation and mentality long after he leaves.

  46. JimmyJack Says:

Funny thing is the defense made huge pivitol plays to win both Rams and Cardinals games.

And Lavonte David did the same in the Atlanta game except his QB could cash in.

Nice of you to cherry pick just them game. Funny that two of em was wins based on big defensive plays.

But what about the other losses? You don’t wanna Lok at them cause then ya gotta face the music do ya?

  47. Youngbucs Says:

Yo all he talks about is being right just like ummmm1of1 always the smartest in the room a ndog.

  48. Youngbucs Says:

Even his fact about the offensive ranking is skewed take out the tds for our defense.

  49. Youngbucs Says:

But why stop there how About we take his pick 6s off the defensive totals also.

  50. Ndog Says:

Oh I look at every loss and the only one that I put soley on Jameis is the Houston game. He played like sh!t in that game no doubt about it. The rest were team efforts with players screwing up all over the place. Everyone wants to point to the Carolina game but Evans sucked that game as one pick he and Jameis were both at fault and one was on him, Miller caused one pick by not getting an outside release letting his defender jump Godwin’s route, one pick came when Jameis’s arm got hit while throwing and Jameis made a bad throw to Luke. In addition the game plan sucked for not being adapted with two starting olinemen out. So to me that is just a team cluster f. I can do this all day guys my mind is like a steel trap I don’t forget these things that matter.

  51. Doc Says:

Ndog, kicking the truth, the numbers do not lie. every since Brady arrived the talk has been protect Brady, get Brady a running back,he got both. Never once did they draft to protect Winston, wonder why.

  52. Youngbucs Says:

They having been building a team around Winston. You don’t hit on ever draft pick. Winston was in a contract year and it was time for him to be judged. It happens to ever player.

  53. Ndog Says:

So Youngbucs if you’re going to adjust things then let’s take away TO’s from Jameis that weren’t his fault?

See when I say that it is an excuse, but when you say that it’s a reason?

    Nice double talk there pal.

    NEXT!!!!!!!!

  54. jerk04 Says:

Here is what doesnt matter steel trap. WINSTON. He is gone and doesnt play for the Bucs. And thank god for that. Move on or haul a$$

If stats are facts you can’t just use the ones you want to prove your point. You must consider all frames to see the big picture.
Truth is 30 INTs and 7 pick 6s is not a pretty picture…

  57. 74 Bucs Fan Says:

Ndog – what happened on the last play of the 2019 season, as I can’t remember? It seems like we were in a position to beat a bad team and then, with the Bucs D on the bench, something happened. Asking for a friend.

  58. Ndog Says:

Your right JimmyJack against Atlanta we couldn’t cash in cause our kicker missed 3FGs, 2 in the 4th freaking quarter.

I remember sitting in the stands and saying to the person at the game with me. Jameis is doing exactly what everyone wants, he’s playing it safe cause we have the lead he’s taking the points but the kicker keeps missing. Then I said watch they will still blame him for the lost despite the missed kicks, despite the blown 4th quarter lead.

And here we are 5 months later and yep here he is getting blamed.

And the defense played well in that game, heck they even scored a TD BUT they had 2 chances to stop the Falcons and they seemed more concerned about getting Shaq the sack record than winning the game and they blew it, flat out blew it with the help of Gay of course.

  59. JimmyJack Says:

NDog…..Maybe that’s your problem. You’re falling into the crowd that always has to have one guy to blame after a loss. Always has to be one scapegoat.

If it’s a team loss that doesn’t absolve Jameis of poor play. The San Fran game I mentioned is a good example. I went back and watched that game a week or two ago and I thought OJ was pathetic. We had a blocked punt and too many pentalties.

I’m not putting the loss soley on Winston but if the discussion is about Winston I’m absolutely pointing to that one because he made too many mistakes. And one was in the most critical moment of the game.

In London we couldn’t move the ball. Then we finally start going on a drive late in the 2nd. We had a chance to build momentum. You gotta put points on the board. Winston soils himself on a freaking screen. That’s crap QB play dude. Don’t be foolish and pretend it aren’t.

  60. The Coroner Says:

That’s easy, a pass was thrown to Cam Brate but was tipped at the line so we have no idea if it would been a great throw or poor throw. It’s unfortunate but it’s reality despite what anyone thinks cause when a ball is tipped it both changes direction and slows the ball down.

  62. JimmyJack Says:

NDog I don’t give a god darn about the god darn kicker when we are talking QB. That’s a weak ass way to argue. If we are talking QB then stay on QB.

Winston couldn’t do squat in that game. We couldn’t barely move the ball at all. Every drive stalling out. It was a crap performance. And Atlanta’s defense sucks hard……Let’s be real…….You put a good freaking QB in a game like that and he shreds Atlanta. Winston played down to his competition. No excuse to let a weak ass defense stop you all game long. Awful game by Winston…….One freaking good pass right before halftime and nothing else. Lays a egg in OT…….one freaking play. Get real. You should have to eek by needing your kicker to beat that crappy defense. Shoulda been an easy win if you wanna play the should game.

If you wanna talk kicker he’s trash too. He needs to play to his potential or get out. But stay on QB if thats your thang………….But funny there was a article about kicker the other day. You don’t comment kicker then. Only if it a excuse you use for Winston?

  63. JimmyJack Says:

Experts have broken down that last pass and said it should never have been thrown. Not even a drastic tip. Experts said this.

I won’t look at it again. Had the misery of watching it live and walking away depressed. I’ll never look at it.

  64. JimmyJack Says:

More balogney excuses. I swear you got an excuse Rolodex.

  65. Ndog Says:

JimmyJack I like you man but please read the comments which is what drives my responses. People blame Jameis NONSTOP and that is what I’m not going to have. I don’t blame a player for a loss normally but if provoked I will respond with my opinion of who is most responsible, IE Matt Gay vs Atlanta.

In addition people are completely CLUELESS if they don’t understand how poor play all around doesn’t contribute to an individual player making mistakes. This team had made Jameis’s perception around the league not the other way around.

  66. JimmyJack Says:

At the end of the day. You can’t win with Winston. He just makes too many mistakes too often.

To win a title you gotta play a full month of games consistently good. You can tout all the stats you want but none of them show he can be good consistently. He’s not leading a team to a title. Just aren’t never gonna happen.

If he’s lucky hell latch onto a good team and go the Bret Favre route. And if you ask him to throw the ball a bunch in playoff games hell lose it for your with mind numbing decisions over and over………..and if he’s lucky like Favre he’ll find a team good enough where they can hide him and not ask him to throw and maybe he gets lucky and wins one…….And he’ll probably need Special Teams TDs like Brett did cause he aren’t gonna be able to lead them himself.

He’s a Brett Favre clone that’s been on a bad team. And he’s a choker just like Favre was.

  67. JimmyJack Says:

You’re not going to stand for fans blaming the QB?

Well you must be a very new NFL fan. Let me clue you in. They always blame the QB……And to be somewhat fair the QB is the very often the biggest difference between winning and losing.

  68. JimmyJack Says:

NDog for you I think what you don’t realize and aren’t getting is it’s not just about talent. You see all this talent Winston has and you don’t want to let it go. I cannot blame you for that but what I think you neglect is the mental makeup………This seems to be the case when you call Tom Brady noodle arm or whatever.

You’re underestimating the mental part of playing the position in mine opinion. Like Yogi Bera said……half the game is 90% mental.

Winston just hasn’t prooved he can get over the mental parts of the game. Talent got nothing to do with decision making……..Throwing the ball through a keyhole is fun and all but in as a QB one poor decision can change the whole game and Winston consistently keeps making them and it gets in the way of all his talent.

  69. JimmyJack Says:

He threw 30 TDs and 5000……That’s talent……..But that didn’t mean jackcrap when it came down to the last decision he made in the season.

He made a bad decision……..At that moment it wasn’t about all the stats. It was about one drive. One play……..That’s all you get as a QB dude………It’s not freaking baseball where you make a mistake and can come back the very next day and win the series. You get one freaking play.

You can say how good he is this and that but you know as well as I do. that if you put Winston in a big game nobody knows what the hell he’s gonna do. That’s a bad thing not a good thing.

  73. Ndog Says:

I question why everyone says we know what any QB is after 5 years. The guy could literally play 15 more years and everyone is so sure he’s a finished product. I ask this question in all seriousness. Were the below players a finished product after 5 years?

    Drew Brees
    Peyton Manning
    Tom Brady
    Kurt Warner
    Steve Young
    Brad Johnson
    Randall Cunningham

  74. Ndog Says:

What everyone discounts are situations. And did you say that Manning ” just can’t protect the ball” after his first 5 years when he had more TOs than Jameis?

Are you saying they didn’t have bad play around the QB?

Bro you just named teams with Saquon Barkley, Lev Bell and a team that had almost 400 yards more rushing than we did. In addition to that we had the most penalties in the NFL. So no they were not in a situation as bad as our QB was.

I get that you mostly or only watch the Bucs, but dude every team missed kicks, has tipped balls, throws hailmarys at the half, O line breakdowns, defensive struggles, etc…

  82. JimmyJack Says:

You can’t put out this blanket argument without no context. So are we to say all picks are created equal because Winston an Manning had the same total? One of them still found a way to win so how do you explain that?………..Now if you wanna go back and watch all them Colt games and tell us go for it. Otherwise your brushing over everything with one stat.

Now if you wanna talk context then I gotta tell you that Winston on many occasions has had meltdown games where he made mistakes all day. So terrible he’s even been benched. His baseball card is littered with 4,5+ INTs games……..Didn’t he even hit seven once? Hahaha. Can the same be said for Manning? You tell me it’s your argument.

Winston has also struggled often against bad teams and bad defense…….I don’t even think you gotta do the homework on that one. I’m quite certain Manning consistently beat up on bad teams.

Winston struggled for years to start off games……. Frequently going into halftime with under ten points. Then playing from behind and often losing blowout style…….I highly doubt Manning had similar struggles.

How bout all the redzone issues weve seen from Winston? Is that similar to Manning?

Why aren’t you bring some real context to the table?

  83. Ship Thief Says:

    Ndog,
    Serious question:
Which team do you want to win the NFC south?

  84. Alaskan Abdominal Snowman Says:

“Bro you just named teams with Saquon Barkley, Lev Bell and a team that had almost 400 yards more rushing than we did. In addition to that we had the most penalties in the NFL. So no they were not in a situation as bad as our QB was.“

Yes they have RB, but we have two pro bowler WRs, do they?

Are you saying a RB is the key to QBs not throwing INTs?

The point you made was this: “ In addition people are completely CLUELESS if they don’t understand how poor play all around doesn’t contribute to an individual player making mistakes.“

All those QBs I said had worse teams around them ( except for RB as you kindly pointed out) and worse records, but get this, nobody threw 30 INTs, or even 20.

You can try to straw man me all day. Unless you are saying a RB is the deciding factor in QB INTs you didn’t address my statement.

  85. JimmyJack Says:

But again…….You’re not getting it. You only wanna look at talent. And yep you’ll have the stats to back it up because yes the talent is there.

But you can post all the stats you want. And at the end of the day you gotta face facts……It’s mental. And that’s what separates Winston. He aren’t got it them other guys do.

Like I will keep telling you and will always keep telling……..The stats mean jack buddy……Cause football comes down to one drive. One play. You rewind back to that fateful afternoon in December. Give Winston the ball in OT and he melted……..Now you hand that same freaking ball to Bress, Brady, Manning, Warner, Young, Johnson………….and why the frick is Cunningham in this discussion?………and you see what happens.

That’s the difference NDog. That one drive and that one play. Stats don’t define winners and losers. Moments do.

  86. JimmyJack Says:

Tony Romo had all the talent in the world. And I guarantee his stats are right in line with plenty of greats.

Yet nobody would ever compare him. That’s the difference.

  87. Defense Rules Says:

For those still fighting last year’s battles … 2019 IS GONE. 2020 IS A NEW YEAR, and every team is 0-0 at this particular moment. Yesterday has zero impact on what MIGHT happen this year.

The ‘NFL Standings Projection Chart’ in the article is nothing more than that … a PROJECTION. IF it holds true (and that’s a big IF), the Bucs would make the playoffs as a wildcard team, even though we would’ve had the 4th best record in the NFC with 9.6 wins. Still, we’d be in, and anything can happen once you get invited to the Big Dance.

Apparently 7 teams from each conference will be in the playoffs this year, and I think I see 9 teams PROJECTED to have winning records in the conference. And that didn’t count the Falcons, who I think will have a winning year despite having the hardest schedule in the NFL. And there’s always 1 or 2 others who surprise people (like San Fran last year?) and have a very good year.

So I think that roughly 10 of our 16 teams in the NFC will be vying for 7 playoff spots. Whether we’re one of those 7 playoff teams is dependent upon a myriad of factors (injuries being one of them), but at least one of those factors seems to be in our favor … Strength of Schedule (SOS). Bucs SOS (11) is considerably better than Philly (24) , Green Bay (23) & Atlanta (32). Hopefully that’s just one of many breaks this year for the Bucs, and one that we can capitalize on.

  88. Youngbucs Says:

Winston sucks so far in his career maybe that will change someday maybe not.

  89. Tye Says:

Ship Thief – people often say one thing but reveal another…
since 80% – 98% of his posts are negative about the Bucs, it is understandable if o\anyone would believe that he wants any teams BUT THE BUCS to win the NFC South…
Doing a poor job at portraying a Bucs fan with all that JW (a backup Saint) propaganda!

  90. Pewter Power Says:

Who cares about what he says a bunch of fools look at Dallas and pick them every year, every year they are wrong. They still can’t beat the eagles even with that stacked roster

  91. SufferingSince76 Says:

I thought this article was about the Bucs making the playoffs.

  92. ŠMadMax Says:

Good gosh, fk tard ntarddog is still here writing essays with the same lame excuses day after day after day?

I think ive got it figured out. He/She has a lot of time since school has been out…He/She hates the braces she’s forced to wear because you know, Mommy’s rules. He/she is 14-16 yrs old and spent all of her allowance money on two different style JW jerseys and is now pissed because they’re irrelevant and cant get over it.

I dont know anymore…its pitiful really.

  93. ŠMadMax Says:

    Breaking news!!!!

I found it….vid of ndog losing it!

NDog – Situational Football. JW doesn’t do well, never has. Look it up. There’s a stat for it. It probably doesn’t fit your cherry-picking narrative, therefore you will ignore it, just like every other fact you ignore.

    NDog = Ignore-ance

    In BA I Trust!

  95. Alvin Scissors Harper Says:

Ndog, maybe it’s COVID-19, but you need to get outside and get some fresh air. Being up Jay Miss’s butt all day is getting to you!
Seriously, all 32 GMs must be wrong. No one wanted Jay Miss. He’s now 3rd string and completely irrelevant.

  96. Sport Says:

While your at it watch that video breakdown I’ve posted for you multiple times, that you continue to ignore because it doesn’t fit your cherry-picking narrative.

    NDog = Ignore-ance

    In BA I Trust!

  97. JimmyJack Says:

Yes Sport good call on the Situational Football. That’s where things get muudy when you start looking at hard stat totals.
I can’t even count how many times we go down by two scores and Winston just doesn’t have an answer. That’s a situation that separates great QBs IMO. The great ones punch back. They make it a game and get it back to one score.

Seemed like this year our defense was able to keep it close enough til the offense got going. Years past, or the blowout years as I like to call them, the defense couldn’t hold and we would just get destroyed. Either way, there have not been enough answers coming from our QB.

The flashes of brilliance Winston can never make up for the situations……When it gets down to it and your in the moment can anyone honestly say you could count on Winston to come through? I’m certain we all know the answer……Even the nugglers though they will never admitt.

  98. Jeffbuc Says:

Ndog you Can’t have it both ways. You say your are blaming gay for Atlanta loss for missing three kicks. That’s like a big b throwing three picks. A missed pass a missed field goal. You say jameis is to blame for only one loss Houston. So if you are giving jameis the benefit of the doubt that a QBs will throw some picks also ha e to give the kicker benefit that they will miss kicks. The bottom line in that game is jameis after all the missed kicks and every other excuse you have for that game. He gave the falcons two missed filed goals worth of points on one pass to end the game. He lost the game just like if he would have drove us down for the game winning touchdown you would be saying see jameis won that game for us he is the man. And nothing about gay. You wouldn’t have said gay makes his kicks jameis wouldn’t have had to win the game so he doesn’t deserve credit for that win. See that’s what you do though any thing negative it’s someone else’s fault anything positive it’s only because of jameis. Here is the one positive I come away from with jameis he is no longer our quarterback so I will no longer have to every game think if he doesn’t throw that one pick we win that game. Or we have to bench this guy. Or just start giving up and laughing 5 1st drives of the game and say Hollywood wouldn’t believe this crap another pick. But you are sitting in the stands thinking oh jameis is going to get blamed for this loss even though Leftwich called that play that was scripted and practices all week as the first play. Leftwich screwed jameis

  99. TexBuc Says:

    Jeffbuc

    Gay missed 3 FGs and 2 extra points. 3×3=9, 2×1=2, 9+2=11. That’s 11 points.

  100. SmoothBayRider Says:

You know who can prevent kickers from missing FG? The QB.

  101. Sorryjackchuckiesback Says:

Ahhh too bad they have the browns making it too!!! It would be nice for them to be the only ones left with a playoff drought like the bucs have!!! If they both break that record it won’t be as special

  102. Sorryjackchuckiesback Says:

Ndog name 3 games in his 5 years against a decent team that Winston drove down the field in the last few minutes to win the game?? You can’t because he never did!! It was always the exact opposite!!… All those picks last year really didn’t bother me!! I don’t care about the amount I care about the timing and I can think of at least 3 games last year (I’m sure there’s plenty I’m not thinking of) that he threw the pick that ended the game!! And that Giants game you like to talk about so much if he hits Evans in stride they won that game right then and there!! But no, Evans was WIIIIIDE OPEN and Winston short arms it and Evans has to actually stop his route to catch it…. I can name waaaaaay more times Winston threw the pick to end the game than you can name how many he won in the final seconds!! When it matters!!!! Winston is horrible when there’s pressure to win!!! He always has a 4 or 5 game stretch in the middle when their playoff hopes are gone that he does well!! Then soon as the pressure is on again he chokes …. So name me more games ndog that he won rather than threw the pick that ended it

  103. Thomas17227 Says:

Anyone thought about bringing the Mack Attack back home? He is expendable in Indy.

  104. Oneilbucs Says:

Ndog You can bring facts and they will just close their eyes to it bro . But you see it the same way I do bro . And that’s long term and they don’t see how at anytime Brady arm can go out and it could be this year . Brady haven’t threw one pass for us . I saw Payton play good one year and his arm went dead the next year and no one thought that was going to happen that way just like with Brady . This is why our team can’t have long term success like Pittsburgh , Green Bay , Seattle, New Orleans , because our fan base don’t understand what it takes to be a successful team long term other than short-term . I rather a long term success than a short term hope because we can’t carry Brady like the New England did ain’t no number one defense or a good running game in Tampa .
