“Obviously There Was Something That You Didn’t Realize Was Missing”

Will battle The Goat

The Buccaneers rolled out another goofy official video today featuring various players.

The subject was best pregame speeches and players were asked to say who delivers. Interestingly, nobody mentioned the finger-sucker-in-chief, America’s Quarterback, Saints backup Jameis Winston.

Jason Pierre-Paul and Lavonte David got the most votes from the players participating, with a couple of shouts to Devin White.

Joe was intrigued by the comments of long-snapper Zach Triner, who gave a more serious answer.

“When [JPP] came back, obviously, there was something that you didn’t realize was missing,” said Triner, who added that it was easy to see why the defense played so much better after JPP made his 2019 debut on October 27th at Tennessee.

Ali Marpet voted for Lavonte for reasons of clarity. JPP is “hard to follow sometimes,” Marpet said. “Lavonte is very concise; I know what he’s talking about.”

Carlton Davis screamed, “Are y’all with me?” imitating JPP and sharing his love for the enthusiasm.

O.J. Howard and Cameron Brate also enthusiastically voted for JPP.

Rob Gronkowski explained to his new Bucs brethren that Tom Brady gave most of the pregame speeches in New England and that he suspects his new teammates will be very impressed. Joe sure hopes the official Buccaneers microphones capture that first Brady pump-up session.

We’re looking forward to hearing our QB give his first pregame speech, too. I hope it gets more attention than the finger licking speech.
Can you tell me what the moderation rules are, please?
Lastly, I saw a new published descriptive for our QB to go with the others. How about “center of the NFL universe” Bucs QB Tom Brady?

Most of us fans realized what has been missing the better part of a decade. On The Field LEADERSHIP! Even though Barber was never considered a huge rah rah guy his presence on the field made a difference. When he retired (A Buccaneer) We were mostly void of leadership on both sides of the ball. With Brady and Gronk joining Evans and Jensen we have leaders at most positions.

  3. BucEmUp Says:

Really important that they draft his replacement next offseason or land a big fish like him in FA or trade again.

  4. Oneilbucs Says:

Bucemup We need to draft a quarterback no more 40 year old quarterback . Stop being played by the owners with bringing in popular players to sale tickets .

  5. Mort Says:

Tom needs to lighten the mood and encourage the fellas to go out there and eat some Ws against New Orleans week 1. Go Bucs!

  6. 541BucsFan Says:

    In BA I Trust!

  9. German Buc Says:

teacher, that would be a heck of a move! With one more year from Mankins we would have been to the playoffs after the 2016 season and Ali would be known as the best OG at least in the NFC.

I said it last year during his first game back- “JPP is a leader amongst men”.

The defense turned around as soon as he was back.
