“Let’s Keep The Cannons Quiet”

Sean Payton talks Bucs

Sinister, bounty-blessing Sean Payton has averaged 10 wins per year in 13 seasons with the Saints.

The future Hall of Famer has coaching numbers nearly identical to Father Dungy’s, though Payton has a winning record in the playoffs. Dungy does not.

Payton talked to The Rich Eisen Show yesterday and acknowledged that he’s been texting with Tom Brady. Apparently the two have built a relationship over the years.

Payton said he’s more concerned about what Brady will bring to his new Bucs teammates versus Brady the quarterback.

“Even more importantly [than his QB skills] is what he brings to the program, any program, in this case Tampa Bay,”

“That’s the thing that’s more concerning because you know the standard or the bar, or whatever term you want to use, will be elevated when you insert a player like him. As fantastic as he is, he also makes others around him better. That’s the thing that obviously makes it a great sign for Tampa Bay.”

The competitive juices will be extra flowing against Brady for Drew Brees and his coach. “Let’s keep the cannons quiet,” Payton said.

Man, Joe is so fired up to see the Bucs take down the Saints.

For those wondering, Payton said he’s 100 percent after having Coronavirus, no longer contagious, and he went for a three-mile run early this week.

I still feel like this is a dream, seeing Brady in a bucs uniform is going to be something . With everything that’s going on in the world these days. STAY SAFE BROTHERS AND SISTERS AND GOD BLESS!!!

  2. Knuckle Sandwich Delivery Service Says:

Just acquiring Brady changes the whole division. They used to prepare for a feast on defense. Those days are over.

would love to have Peyton as bucs next coach.

Another difference between Dungy & Payton…Dungy appears to be a good human…Payton…not so much. He’s a very good coach…I’ll give him that. The Saints are loaded too. Adding Emanuel Sanders makes them even more dangerous. Rattling Brees will be a must. Should be good battles…

  5. Iamabuc Says:

He’s just mad. The Divisional “Walk -in-the-park” is over for him. Now they’ll have to earn it!…Go Bucs!

  6. Mike Johnson Says:

The games still must be played. And there is no guarantee we beat the Saints even with Brady. Please..Stop the hype. We do it every gd year and lose

  7. Pryda...sec147 Says:

I would love nothing more then to see the demise of the Aints

  8. Craig Says:

I wonder what kind of tricks he will try. Adding Brady must have really messed up his draft board.

To see the Bucs as prime time players is a dream, hopefully a real one.

    Mike

Do you believe it’s the hype that caused us to lose? Certainly accept that point perhaps in our Hard Knocks year but that’s the only season I felt overconfidence was a problem.

It’s supposed to be fun Mike! Nothing fun about a wet blanket coming here everyday to do his best to dash our hopes.

Do you REALLY believe your telling any Buc fans something he doesn’t already know….yeah…be afraid….be very afraid…and never ever reveal any swagger.

Sorry Mike…certainly can’t speak for everyone here but your incessant braying about avoiding excitement is a total downer and for what? Again..you havent posted a fact that any Buc fans isn;t well aware.

Why be a dream crusher? Why be that guy? I hope it’s not because you’re one of our sour JW lovers.

  10. Kord Says:

Sounds like a guy worried Bucs are gonna steam roll em for the foreseeable future, yesss! Hate watching the Bucs lose to this man

When JW was our quarterback, I had his back. Especially when he was castigated and condemned by other posters based on allegations without proof or even evidence other than hearsay.
TB12 is now our quarterback and I will have his back now although he probably will not get the same unfair treatment.

Honestly, I would not have chosen either of them.
When JW was drafted, although not posting, I was calling for a trade back and buildup of the OL. Because no quarterback can throw well when on their back.

I am concerned for TB12 for much the same reason. Until our OL can protect him we are one hit away from Blaine Gabbert starting for the rest of the season. Not pretty!

Those of you who constantly berate your fellow posters for being on one side or another are getting VERY tiresome.

    Please stop.

Can’t we all just be Bucanneers fans here?

You can feel the Bucs gaining momentum.

With a great draft, Licht will have wrapped up GMOTY. BA and TB have opportunities for awards too. Should be a fun season.

Payton tested positive for covid-19 a few weeks ago. What happened? Mild case? Good medical care for NFL coaches?

  14. Howard Cosell Says:

OK…..I guess he had a mild case
