  1. NPRSageBoy. Says:

America’s Turnover Machine has to go.

Either that or my season ticket money stays in my pocket.

And I can’t believe I’m the only one taking this stand

    Enough is enough.

    Peace, out

  2. Colonel_mp Says:

Wow … I definitely want Jameis back if it gets rid of fans that will bail because of one player. Bye NPRSageBoy

  3. BucsFan81 Says:

Get off the fence and vote NO. Make the bucs great again bucs 2020…

  4. pryda...sec 147 Says:

Stay your lame ass home boy don’t your sound like that fan that tells me to sit down at the game… Jameis is going to be extended.

  5. BucsFIRE Says:

    BUT….
    BUT….
    BUT….

A flash pro clearly favors JAMEIS…
    (whine, sniffle)

    *_*_*

    LOL, so stupid.

  6. Pewter power Says:

This is pointless before the draft and free agency in a way. If one of the top guys fall in our lap everyone’s perception will change to no

  7. Rayjay1122 Says:

I kind of want to see post Lasik Winston. 1 or 2 year max unless he gets the turnovers under control. Would suck to have endured 5 seasons only to have him go elsewhere and play lights out. Remember Steve Young and Doug Williams winning Superbowl QBs post Bucs.

  8. ben Says:

if the bucs want to be a winner then move on from Winston . The nfl rates Winston as an BELOW AVERAGE qb with all the good receivers on the team …Stop with the excuses ..

  9. Slugglife Says:

Man if I had only given that crazy whack job chick 2-3 more years she could have gotten mentally stable. Now some other guy gets to enjoy her.

    Guess I missed out.

  10. Slugglife Says:

I’ll take the chance that he wins somewhere else.

  11. Rayjay1122 Says:

Plus, what better options do we have? Nothing guaranteed with a rookie QB, not even Joe Burrow. Rivers or Brady? No thanks. Winston and a better back up would be fine. I would be fine with Bridgewater in case Winston just does not get it done or gets injured.

  12. thisisouryear!! Says:

Almost exactly the same results as last one 57% are either undecided or don’t want Jameis in Tampa next year.

  13. Hodad Says:

This poll could’ve been taken before we drafted JW in 2015 with the same results. Half the fans wanted him drafted, half didn’t. Now half the fans want him resigned, the other half want him gone. Nothing has changed in five years, hopefully not six.

  14. ben Says:

I will help Winston pack to move on . Fans deserve better!!!

  15. Rayjay1122 Says:

Trust me, I am not a Winston mit hugger by any means. I just fail to see the much better options. These rookies that would be available mit 1st round ore MEH. Brady is too old to,hold up,behind our OL with no rushing threat to support him and I never felt Rivers was that great.

  16. Jonathan Limpchimpi Says:

    The definition of polarizing…

  17. Rod Munch Says:

    ZZZZZZZzzzzzzzzzzz.

  18. SteveK Says:

Didn’t vote, but would of voted “hell no”.

  19. miken Says:

Ian Beckles said it best….If you think #3 sucks, you are right and if you think he’s good, you are right…. Now if you want to pay him 25 million plus next year, you are stupid.

  20. Tampa Bay Demon Says:

    LOL
It ends in an EXACT TIE.
We can’t make this stuff up. Crazy.

  21. #1 Pick QB 2 Cent Brain Says:

    Inconsistent players divide fanbases

He’s not as bad as some think and he’s not as good as the Jameis slurpers who ignorantly compare him to Hall of Famers hunk either

  22. Stanglassman Says:

Even on the Anti Jameis haven of JBF commit section they can’t get a majority. If you average all the fan and news sites together it’s about 35 percent who want him gone. It’s gone up about 15% since the ATL game. The worst thing Jameis has done for his career is to try and gut it out playing on those last few games as injured as he was. He might have gotten away with it too if he had one of his two top WRs or a kicker not miss 3 kicks.

  23. Matthew Fifer Says:

    =========================

Get rid of in what capacity? From this comment board? Because even if he gets signed, that won’t happen. People love to complain (I’m not excluding myself), and the internet is a great place to do it. I do it mostly on the net to spare my wife from listening to it as I love her, unlike all of you whom I don’t even know.

Get rid of them from the stands at the stadium? You do realize that even if a fan is there rooting against Winston, it’s still another ticket sold. If JW is signed and ticket sales decline further, the moment JW screws up a game or two, he goes on the trade block, where we will get little/no value for him which only further screws us over.

The absolute best option is to let him walk OR transition tag him. When he finds out he is not getting what he wants, we have a chance to get him back for 1 year at a lower rate which is all he deserves. I absolutely don’t think he is the long term answer. That said, if dealing with him for 1 more year will help all the Jameis defenders finally see the light, so be it.

  24. Slugglife Says:

Yeah, we are so used to last place in our division, who cares if we lose another season?

  25. SteveK Says:

Stanglassman, Rod Munch, Adrnagy, Big Hog, and Ndog,

How can we win with all those turnovers? We can’t. We won’t.

    How can we do that?

  26. Slugglife Says:

Steve, JW is an FSU alum. That means more to those fools than winning seasons.

  27. DoooshLaRue Says:

    ^^^^
Don’t forget tmaxi and DB55….. and the ever elusive webster.
Wouldn’t want to leave out any of the slurpers from the Nuthugger Brigade!

  28. Allbuccedup Says:

Bucs should wait until the last minute and weigh all their options before they sign him. You want a player that puts the team first like Brady or Brees sign for less so you can get more players to make the team better. If Winston is not happy about the Bucs using the franchise tag on him he should leave.

  29. PSL Bob Says:

The definition of a split vote. I’m kind of with the minority on this one – could go either way. Benefits vs Liabilities = Tough Decision.

  30. Ndog Says:

I didn’t vote cause the one option I was looking for, which was Ban all the CLUELESS especially SteveK, was not an option. That I am certain most would vote for.

  31. BrianBucs Says:

I would have been a NO vote but didn’t see the poll in time.

Joe, you need to get rid of the “Not Sure” column to get a more presise result

  32. Stanglassman Says:

SteveK. You are correct that if Jameis threw 30 interceptions a year with 7 taken back to the House you’d need a great defense in order to go to the playoffs. Jameis has never come close to throwing that many picks before so I don’t expect it next season. A 2nd year in the same system (both he and his WRs) and being healthy alone will cut his interceptions down. I also think the defense playing better will help too, not to mention a run game. That’s why I want to draft the best run blocking RT round 1 and DL, Rb and S In the next picks.

Jameis will realize that he doesn’t need to take as many chances in order to win. He’s got the talent and a ton of incentives to play consistently better. I just believe Jameis under center in 2020 gives the Bucs the best chance to win.

  33. Stanglassman Says:

I missed the vote. So don’t feel like it was only no votes that got left out.

  34. Eric Says:

This poll would be about the same in any NFL market where the team had a losing record. Fans always blame the QB.

Were good at running off quarterbacks that go on to great things with other teams.

Gotta be the worst fan base in the league.

  35. Wesley Says:

Didn’t get my no vote in.

  36. #1 Pick QB 2 Cent Brain Says:

Eric more QBs have left here that haven’t been successful than ones that have…

  37. Formerly Tampa 2 Says:

Missed the poll. But vote no anyway.

  38. Mike Johnson Says:

One more year. Do or Die. Let him know, perform or take the boot. Its that simple. Do everything coaching wise to get his interceptions down. Then it’s all on him.

  39. Eric Says:

What other team has let three different QBs go that went on to win a super bowl with another team?

    Williams
    Young
    Dilfer

And Chandler made it to a super bowl.

Of course most guys you let go don’t do that, but the above is staggering.

  40. Cobraboy Says:

I don’t care one way or another.

I just don’t want to lose good D players, especially DL, to pay ATM like a top starter.

Anything over $18mil. will pio$$ me off…and that is a high number.

  41. Buc1987 Says:

SteveK ….I say Winston cuts his INT total in half in 2020…that’s how they win!

  42. SteveK Says:

    1987,

I’ll believe it when I see it. I just don’t think he can break up the mistakes.

Even last year he played less than a full season and still had 19 picks.

It’s just not good and I don’t know how we win.

What if we resign Jameis for a sixth year, and he sucks again (turnovers and losses?

Errr I mean nut hugging jock slurpers! I also ride and sniff jocks if you haven’t heard.

  44. #1 Pick QB 2 Cent Brain Says:

    Eric

Fans act like the Bucs let go of 3 hall of Famers

Dilfer wasn’t resigned by the Ravens after they won
Williams never made the playoffs again after Washington won the strike shortened season

Young was great and got into the right situation

Fans gotta stop acting scared to get rid of a inconsistent Qb because of three outlier situations

  45. Alaskan Abdominal Snowman Says:

Dude how long is this moderation BS going to go on for?

  46. Buc1987 Says:

SteveK…I guess we’re going to find out soon enough whether he cuts them down in Tampa or for another team..

  47. Clean House Says:

What if America’s QB JW some how ends up in Dallas.
That would be pretty cool. I bet he could win the NFC least

  48. Buc1987 Says:

#1 Pick QB 2 Cent Brain Says:

“Fans gotta stop acting scared to get rid of a inconsistent Qb because of three outlier situations”

Another one of those fans that think his opinion matters to the higher ups at One Buc….guess what? They don’t!

  49. Mr. Reality Says:

The last two dismal games Winston embarassed with in our house was no revelation, or anyone else’s fault. It was just confirmation…and nail in the coffin for what we already knew.

Only an idiot things two games matter. One a complete moron thinks if the last two games were different that Tampa Bay would be gushing for this clown. No, what matters is five years of mostly losing, five years of embarassment and immaturity from Winston, and five years of turnovers and excuses.

No more. It’s a simple rule.

    Signed,

    El Principal Realitad

  50. Buc1987 Says:

Mr. Reality…how were the 5 years before Winston?

  51. #1 Pick QB 2 Cent Brain Says:

    1987

Yet people who are obsessed with fashion are convinced the teams is changing their uniforms because a bunch of whiners on social media

The likelihood Jameis going somewhere else and winning a Super Bowl is slim

There has been 108 QBs to play in a Super Bowl. Only 18 of those players were playing for the team that didn’t draft them originally. It’s a very low percentage that the QB to get you to a Super Bowl is a free agent or a guy not playing for their original team.

  52. Buc1987 Says:

I bet this team still sucks with or without Winston….

I bet Winston DOES go onto throw dramatically less INT’s than 2019 either here or somewhere else.

  53. NO FEAR... Says:

THE GLAZERS AND THE COACH , MANAGER , ARE NOT SAYING NOTHING IS A SIGN THEIR DEBATING ON WHICH WAY TO GO OR THEY ALL READY MADE THEIR MIND UP ON WINSTON….AND LOOKING FORWARD TO THE NEXT QUARTERBACK…

  54. Pa Privateer Says:

    @JOE

    REALLY?!?!?!?!? A 35 MINUTE POLL?

    ***** I **** VOTE **** NO

  55. Aaron Says:

I don’t have access to the ALL 22 tapes and even if I did I wouldn’t know what play was called..If BA wants to bring him back I’m fine with it…if he doesn’t I’m fine with it.

The Bucs coaching staff knows if he’s not calling audibles when he should..they know if he’s throwing to the correct receiver on the play.

I really think the Bucs will move on, but they are sitting back to watch the market. See if the CBA is signed…Maybe someone will offer the Raiders a 1st round pick for Carr and that’s to much for the Bucs…maybe someone will give the Bengals a 2nd round pick for Dalton and they re-sign him to a large contract…just like maybe other QBs market value will be lower than anticipated…in the end, if JW is the best option they’ll bring him back.

My gut says they bring him back on a 2yr deal – where the Bucs can easily walk away…We’ll have a back-up that BA trust…and Jameis will have a short leash. (if they really like a QB in the 2nd or 3rd round I can see them signing them too)

I know Shaq has stated he’d give the Bucs a discount…I just dont see it getting done by the March deadline…so the Bucs will have to Franchise him so they have more time to get the deal done.

    Go Bucs!

  56. JimmyJack Says:

NPR…….You added another good reason for Winston to stay. It’ll keep out fans like yourself who will put the name on the back of the Jersey ahead of the name on the front.

We already have a problem with Fairweather fans in this city. Ideally if you are out it will have the way for more diehards to take your place. We don’t need your kind infecting the fanbase with your opinions. We need more diehards I fecting the fanbase. Those who truely bleed pewter.

  57. #1 Pick QB 2 Cent Brain Says:

    1987

    What’s dramatically less?

Anything close to 20 dooms this team

  58. JimmyJack Says:

I believe Bruce knows what he is doing at the QB position. He’s been around a long time and been around greats. He knows what to look for. He will make the right decision.

I’ll support any decision they make. Even if it’s Dalton.

  59. Buczilla Says:

I love this site and this will be my first ever kinda sorta complaint. I would love to participate in these polls, but sometimes it’s just not possible. Is there any reason why they can’t be open longer? I’m guessing that it’s done this way to prevent folks from making multiple accounts and voting more than once. If that’s the case, then forget I said anything. 😛

  60. Buccaneer Bonzai Says:

Doesn’t really matter what we all want. He WILL be the opening day starter.

  61. Buccaneer Bonzai Says:

Ideal time would be around 7 PM Eastern. Most people are home by then.

  62. Buccaneer Bonzai Says:

    SteveK Says
“How can we win with all those turnovers? We can’t. We won’t.”

Fair point. However, how do you justify assuming he will throw so many picks in 2020 when the 5 previous years picks were not as bad?

And his fumbles were mostly not on him, except the year he played with an injured shoulder.

  63. Sharkiebucfan Says:

One man, Rob Johnson. Two words Super bowl.

  64. Buccaneer Bonzai Says:

Sorry, 4 previous years. Typing in the dark.

  65. Pick6King Says:

You can just carbon copy this for next year and years to come. I fear that Jason Licht will doom this franchise to utter disgrace for the next half decade. I’m going to mentally prepare to watch Jamoist keep us out of the playoffs in 2020, then sign a blockbuster deal to continue the futility for at least 5 more years. Aim low, you can only go up from the bottom. #NoPlayoffs

  66. SteveK Says:

    Bonzai,

How are you doing? I can’t wait for the draft.

9 starts last year 14 picks. He starts all 16 that’s 25 or so. It’s too many for me to believe it can fixable.

  67. Mr. Reality Says:

Buc1987…you ask: How were the five years before Winston? Well, 2010 was pretty good. 2011 was not. 2012 was okay…except for the 7-9 record…all too familiar. 2013 and 2014 stunk.

But here is where you fail: You question is stupid and irrelevant. In fact, it does point to one clear, painful reminder: The Bucs earned the 2015 #1 overall pick and wasted it on Jameis L. Winston.

  68. Tye Says:

    New decade!
    New uniforms!
NEW QB (NFL caliber this time)!

  69. JimmyJack Says:

I’m pretty much coming to the conclusion Bonzai has come to…..That Winston will be our QB next year. By all accounts the Bucs are currently negotiating with Winston.

If they are negotiating that means Winston is the QB they want. They aren’t gonna fool around. They are gonna get the QB they want.

And maybe they did think about Bardy but be realistic. Yeah, they can’t tamper but you know well and good they got a real good idea if he would consider Tampa Bay or not. And maybe they considered a teade. If that was the case they’ve already had discussions about availability and asking prices……No matter how they got here they want Winston right now and are negotiating. They’ll get their guy……..Of course it all could be a smoke screen. That’s how the CIA…..I mean NFL operates.

    Ummm…
    If I remember correctly
Webster was anti Jameis before he was banned/changed his name

My vote is for one more year under Ariens system
If that means a multiyear contract with an early out, so be it
Whatever gives us the BEST CHANCE TO WIN, and I don’t see that with any of the other options available

  71. gp Says:

There has been 108 QBs to play in a Super Bowl. Only 18 of those players were playing for the team that didn’t draft them originally

And how many of those were former Bucs????????

  72. gp Says:

    And won?

  73. BrianBucs Says:

This poll and all of the other that are out show and prove what I have said all along – Jameis Winston is the most Polarizing player in Bucs history.

  74. T REX Says:

40% is a lot. Geez, all he had to do was win games. And the fans would’ve supported him. Instead 30/30 club and the claim he’s ballin’.

    Delusionole.

The only reason he threw for 5k yards is because we had no back up to bench him with. Otherwise, he would have never seen 5000 yards.

    BENCHED. Knob gobblers unite!

  75. Buccaneer Bonzai Says:

    SteveK Says
    “Bonzai, How are you doing?”

    Pretty mellow actually.

Lost my job at the banana farm. Seems I was wrong for throwing out the bent ones…
