It Is In The Doctor’s Hands

October 26th, 2019

Waiting game.

We likely will not know until tomorrow morning at the earliest what will happen with Bucs pass rusher Jason Pierre-Paul.

The feared defensive end/outside linebacker returned to practice during the bye week. Apparently, he looked strong enough since returning to the practice field that Bucs coach Bucco Bruce Arians is toying with the idea of activating him to play in Tennessee tomorrow.

JPP was involved in a one-car accident in South Florida in early May in which he suffered a broken neck. To hear Arians talk yesterday, he doesn’t have the final say about JPP.

“We’ll see what the doctor says [yesterday] afternoon,” Arians said, adding that JPP “flew around” at practice.

The Bucs sure could use him. Provided the Bucs get the JPP we all know and love.

Aside from Shaq Barrett, the Bucs cannot rush the quarterback. What’s new? So if JPP can get right like he was last year in his first season with the Bucs, that will take a load off Barrett and just may spring him loose.

A good pass rush can help hide a bad defensive back and the way the Bucs haven’t have been defending the pass, there are a lot of guys the Bucs need to hide.

No time like the present to find out…he’ll play tomorrow IMO…for his leadership if nothing else

Next time keep two hands on the wheel JPP….

  4. Bobby M. Says:

This team needs a jolt…..based on his contract, he’s playing his last yr here, i hope he does whatever he feels is needed to the defense AND offense to hold people accountable.

  5. Hodad Says:

Arains needs this win to salvage the season. If JPP isn’t ready now, later will be to late. With a trip to Seattle next week, the Bucs can’t afford to lose against Tenn. Can we make it till Halloween before we start talking draft?

Hey james west you live in Florida? Have you ever hydroplaned in your car? Even just a little. It takes only two things water on the road and a car. Nothing special or reckless your doing, just hard rain and a car on the water covered road. Not sure were your coming up with your “he really is a self destructive selfish sob, he really jammed the team up with his bulspit shenanigans” should he sit in his home and not drive his car were he wants when he wants? Now that I would call Bullspit.. JPP is a grown man and I believe he will ball out when he is able to play again. This week? Maybe maybe not. But bet your last dollar he will give it his ALL every play when he is on the field.

  7. down in the dirt doug Says:

JPP HAS PROVEN THAT HE IS A “I WILL BUST MY ASS AND GIVE MY ALL ON EVERY PLAY FOR THE TEAM” HE WILL PLAY WHEN HE IS ABLE TO GO ALL OUT.

And NO hands on the M80!

  12. Slugglife Says:

Yeah. TM is a sad excuse for a person. But he’s got a point- JPP only gets injured off the field. He’s had a pretty healthy career on the field.

Battling goliath lineman and taking on RBS is the safest place on earth for him.

  13. SmoothBayRider Says:

Wait did Tmax just call Derrick Brooks dumb ? Like , in the same sentence as Vince Young Dumb ? I’d love to run into Tmax in a bar at some point .

  14. 813bucboi Says:

so the pass rush has been missing for years but yet most think drafting a CB in the 1st round thats 6’3 runs a 4.2 will fix the secondary and the pass rush…..lol….

nothing will change as long as we keep drafting DBs in the 1st and 2nd round and DE’s in the 4th and 5th round….

    GO BUCS!!!!

  15. 813bucboi Says:

2 things i’ve been saying since the giants game…..

*Aside from Shaq Barrett, the Bucs cannot rush the quarterback.
*A good pass rush can help hide a bad defensive back

but most folks seem to think a good secondary can hide a bad dline….lol…

thats like saying a good QB and hide a bad oline….lol…

    GO BUCS!!!!!

  16. Barack's Crack Pipe Says:

He’s playing. If he practiced all week with contact, then the doctor has already spoken.

    Go Bucs!!

  17. unbelievable Says:

    It’s official: he’s been activated.

We’ll see how much (if at all) he actually plays…
