Vita Vea Throws Aside Ryan Jensen (Video)

August 2nd, 2019

Beasting

Deep inside the walls of One Buc Palace, there is a lot of happiness surrounding the training camp play of the true manbeasts on the defensive line: Vita Vea and Ndamukong Suh.

Suh may not be carrying rookies’ pads or buying snowcones for teammates, and he may not be smiling for the cameras, dancing or dressing up in costumes, but he is warming the hearts of Bucs officials with what he’s putting on film, and how he’s been a caring teammate.

It’s a great sign.

As for Vea, well, he’s came to camp in great shape and he looks like a guy prepared to make the second year leap common among players who will have long and strong careers.

This Twitter video nugget from last night’s practice should give you sweet dreams. Vea throws center Ryan Jensen aside the way Joe discards empty beer bottles. Enjoy!

    Beast

  2. AlabamaBucsFan Says:

He’s going to be a monster this year. It’s going to be fun watching him play next to Suh

  3. Bucsfan951 Says:

Dude that’s our starting high priced center getting tossed around 🤦🏻‍♂️ smh

  4. SOEbuc Says:

Nassib/Vea/Suh/Spence and Barrett with White and Lavonte in the middle.”It’s pretty. It’s so pretty.”

  5. FireJasonLicht Says:

Huh? Barrett is a situational pass rusher he won’t be starting. He will be backing up Spence. Its gonna be Nassib and Spence on the outside with Gholston Suh and Vea.

  6. Raceto10 Says:

Jensen has not been worth the money, he got worked easily by a year 2 guy.

  7. Raceto10 Says:

I expected to see him tossing Jensen but no he straight up got worked with technique. Dude looks so sorry this camp going up against a real d line

  8. Mike10 Says:

Doesn’t Licht have some kind of background as an offensive lineman? That man is horrible at buying FA O lineman.

  9. Sport Says:

According to one of the Joes, the only way to sack the quarterback is if you draft a DE or have Michael Bennett on your team. That video means nothing to him. As their was no over paid DE nor a lessor talent over-drafted DE rookie in it.

    In BA I Trust!

  10. Rod Munch Says:

But angry ginger is so angry – and I hate nice guys!!!! GRRRRRR!!!!! ANGRY!!!!!!! GRRRRR!!!!!!!

  11. Don_RyJo(e) Says:

If Vita takes off this year, Joe(s), I’d love for you to go back to Warren “Big Guys From the West Coast Can’t Ball in Florida” Sapp who predicted him to be a bust for a follow-up comment 🙂

  12. BucsFan727 Says:

Jensen garbage though. Thats why he needs gaurd help and we dont have a RG. I hope they dont try that crap they tride every couple run plays where the gaurd pulls behind the center. Because the center would get knocked back to much. Love the effort but hes not physically talented. Licht paying a back up top money. BA gotta train the GM too.

  13. BucsFan727 Says:

I bet Marpet and Donavan are the only returning starters next year. Cant fix the roster in one year. Defence and special teams will have to be consistent this year. Ya we had the #1 passing offense but how much where playing from behind trying to catch up having to pass alot.

  14. Buczilla Says:

I’m hoping Vea kicks butt this year so that the draft “experts” (I’m looking at you Matt Miller, he of 15 mock drafts a week) will stop using hindsight to mock us for not taking Derwin James. Mike Smith would have ruined that kid with his timid pass defense.

  15. SenileSenior Says:

Not saying I would have regretted having Derwin James, but where would we be today? Licht was uncannily prescient in my opinion.

Suh is here for one year (I am hoping for two) as far as we know. Vea will be a manbeast for nine, ten or more years! Next year we had better draft one DL and one OT at least.

Meanwhile let the games begin! I am stoked! \:D/

  16. Defense Rules Says:

Gee, what a shame we won’t have a pass rush this year. Everyone knows pressure only comes from the DE position. Oh if we’d only listened to Joe last draft.

  17. Bob in Valrico Says:

I am with DR, best way to get a QB off his game is pressure up the middle,IMO.

  18. DB55 Says:

You guys can be really dense sometimes. Worrying about QB sacks from DTs meanwhile we give up 200 yards rushing up the middle. Stop the run on the way to the QB, it’s not rocket science folks.

  19. Buccan8 Says:

Jensen is the 2019 bounce-back player for us. You see how he bounced off that turf? Special stuff, man.

  20. BringBucsBack Says:

Vea got to the QB right at 2 seconds. After a play like that, he deserves a snow-cone!

  21. Bird Says:

    2 helping against Suh
    2 helping against Vea
    1 man vs gholston

I see a lot of sacks coming from our 3-4 backers whether they have hand in dirt or standing up.

  22. Bird Says:

Oline still a big problem. Not sure Jensen is here this time next year.
If oline continues to struggle , go get Trent Williams.
Go get someone. Arians not looking for rebuild and wants to win now.
It seems like oline will be Bucs biggest debacle this year

  23. BucEmUp Says:

Suh has always been the monster on the line, Vea Could be better and create a little personal competition there which would be incredible with our lbs blitzing

  24. BucEmUp Says:

Trent williams if Donavan has any Achilles issues

  25. NOSBOS Says:

    Darf Vea at his finest.

  26. Loyaltotheend Section 312 Says:

So much for that 2nd highest paid o line…

No wonder the Bucs are in Cap hell

  27. Buccaneer Bonzai Says:

    Bucsfan951 Says:
“Dude that’s our starting high priced center getting tossed around 🤦🏻‍♂️ smh”

I would be concerned if it was against a lesser DT, but I suspect Vea will be a top five DT for a string of years. We know Jensen is pretty strong himself, so if Vea is doing this on a regular basis, Vea is going to be really good.

And I heard he did that to Jensen twice that day.

  28. Buccaneer Bonzai Says:

Also, that is one-on-one. Things are tougher with padded 11-on-11.

Don’t get me wrong, I’ve been saying for years that the offensive line was at fault for most of Jameis’ turnovers. Each year his turnovers went up, so did the sacks. That tells us he was getting hit more and more.

With a great oline, things may have been a bit different.

But that doesn’t mean our oline cannot get the job done this year.

    💪😯

  30. 813bucboi Says:

there’s the good and the bad….lol…

    GO BUCS!!!!!

  31. diggler Says:

Not thrown by any means even better Vea feints back and dips to use Jensen’s momentum against him that’s some Ninja S^!t right there!

    Well done Vea!!!

  32. D-Rome Says:

These videos are very overrated. What would be the narrative if Jensen held him up on a single play caught on camera? I’ll tell you, it would be “Vea’s a bust!”

  33. Bucamania Says:

Vea and Suh will be beastly. Plus Carl Nasty. Shaq will start over Spence.

  34. gotbbucs Says:

Not wanting to make excuses, but I’m pretty sure the RG was supposed to be giving Jensen a little more push than that ghost shove he tried to throw.

These drills suck if you’re an offensive lineman because the outcome is already determined.

Every single offensive lineman has a moment like this in almost every practice when they arent giving 100% effort, especially in a drill like this, and the guy across from them decides to try and be a super star on that given play.

  35. Kalind Says:

I actually laughed despite myself. “Get our of the way Ryan, I have somewhere to be.”

  36. Buc4evr Says:

Suh and Vea. Hope JPP gets back soon. This D-Line will shock a lot of teams this year and make all the so called BSPN and NFL network experts look dumb.

  37. Youngbucs Says:

Like I’ve said before I can’t wait to see “Maui” and “The House Of Spears” bulldozing “Scam Newton” “Melty Ice”, & gone with the “Brees” it’s gonna be fun!

  38. JGhoti86 Says:

    Wow Joe(s),

I’m surprised this article wasn’t titled, “Pricey center Ryan Jensen gets manhandled and destroyed by (said) D-Linemen” and focuses on how bad Jensen looked, rather than how great Vea looked. I’m shocked!

  39. BigMacAttack Says:

Gerald McCoy can suck it. That is all.

  40. Pit of Misery Says:

    Gotbbucs: excuse.
