Vea Not Ruled Out (Yet) For 49ers

August 12th, 2019

Good news?

Bucco Bruce Arians had a few updates on the injury front, including discussing three hurt starters.

Arians was asked about pass rusher/linebacker Shaq Barrett, who is hobbled and was seen the past two practices limping on the sidelines. Barrett has a bum ankle and is “day-to-day,” Arians said. The head coach was then asked about injuries in general.

“I would like to have Vita [Vea] out there and Lavonte [David],” Arians said. “But they will be there in time.”

Joe then asked Arians if there was still a chance Vea, who went down with a knee injury a week ago, one that could be an eight-week issue, could return by the season-opener against the 49ers and Arians didn’t exactly rule it out.

“I’m hoping,” Arians said, replying to Joe.

Cross your fingers, Bucs fans.

    Who cares……..

  4. Clw JB Says:

Need him bad, but don’t rush him back – would rather he sit week 1 than come back too soon and miss the rest of the season

  5. TheBucsAnthem Says:

Imma start calling him a “Fragile Flower” just like Cancer93 aka GMC

  6. Pittsshore Says:

Reggie White, Lawrence Taylor & Michael Stratham could be our starting Dline and it would not mean a thing if we have the human “Apples” turnover machine at QB. He had three picks on Sunday at a stress free non contact PRACTICE.

  7. Easy Says:

If he’s not ready week 1 then let him come back on the short week 2.

    Heal Vita. Go Bucs!

WTF BucsAnthem? It’s ok that you are hung up over GMC but dumping on a guy with a legitimate injury that could be a key player on our defense. What the hell is wrong with you? Are you REALLY a Bucs fan or just someone who trolls the board at JBF? The sooner that Vea is back the better for the D line, LBs and Secondary.Get a grip and root for YOUR team, if you have one.

Yes Pittsshore, let’s decide how well Jameis will do this season based on preseason practice performances.

That turnover machine handed plenty of leads to cancer93 and lvd led defenses which they promptly blew….
