Jameis’ Message For Bucs Fans

July 25th, 2019

He wants you at Bucs training camp.

A patriotic request was issued at One Buc Palace today. And it came from no less than America’s Quarterback, Pro Bowler Jameis Winston.

Earlier today, Bucco Bruce Arians proudly boasted there ain’t gonna be “any damn music” at Bucs training camp practices this summer.

So about two hours later when Jameis took to the podium, Joe asked Jameis about no music. Jameis said he hopes fans take advantage.

To be more specific, Jameis said the lack of music should “inspire” Bucs fans at practice to holler and stomp their feet and get loud. In other words, there is no need to sit back and enjoy the music since there will not be any music.

Thus, Jameis wants fans to be interactive. And be loud. And more importantly, for Bucs fans to get off their rumps and get to practice.

“There’s nothing else on TV to watch,” Jameis boasted.

On a side note, Jameis was totally pumped for training camp practices to begin. He could barely stand still fielding questions today. Could barely wipe that beaming smile off his face.

Jameis looked like he wanted to face off against the 49ers this afternoon.

Football season is here.

“Hashtag: Go Bucs,” Jameis yelped.

Jameis needs to face the music .

  6. Buccaroo Says:

Hell or high water Jameis gonna get paid. He gonna be a millionaire, no matter what after this season. That would motivate me to wear a smile all the time too.

  7. Pittsshore Says:

That’s the same look he had on his face when the Publix manager stopped him with the crab legs. Coincidently, so did the Uber driver on that fateful night

  8. Scotty in Fat Antonio Says:

Jaymiss does not handle his enthusiasm/high energy very well, especially before games. I hope he can harness it better this year.

  9. Father Rico Says:

    Love me some Jamies!

  10. BucsminsterFuller Says:

perhaps he needs to switch to sugar-free W’s.

Think this might be his year.

The first posters seem to enjoy living in the past…OK so JW has had major screw ups. But the kid has talent and when he’s sober he seems like a good dude.

I’m not just rooting for him because of the Bucs playoff chances increasing dramatically…as one of his biggest critics after the “incident” I’m now rooting for him on a personal level. I hope it works out for him personally. Hope his family prospers and he finally finds some peace.

Being blessed with any remarkable talent so young is both a blessing and curse. It’s an incredible challenge to keep your head on straight and not be moved by all the adulation. I can only imagine the kind of attention someone with JW’s level of fame deals with…good and bad.

Clearly it’s taken him time to figure it all out. But as the blog optimist I think he’s coming around…as the blog snowflake I hope he personally has finally figured out how to harness his joy.

It’s America guys…at least I think it still is although I’m starting not recognize a lot of it. But it used to be that this country loved redemption…I think the majority still do. Everybody loves seeing a guy turning it around. If the Bucs make the playoffs I promise you the TV producers will all be scrambling to tell the off field and on field story of JW’s travails and his defeat of those demons. It will be the biggest human interest story in the playoffs.

You can always count on trolls like pittshore to regurgitate the same 6 years old crab leg joke. At least try to bring something funny to the table if you’re going to troll. Like busceminster. The sugar free ws was kind of creative. Point is if you’re not going to bring much to the conversation at least make us laugh.

Jameis has a long future as a summer camp counselor

  15. Slugglife Says:

No matter how you feel about him, he’s our QB. Maybe we can all shelve the negativity and backhanded comments and let this year play out.

We ask the same of Joe with his wide remarks about Devin White. But it’s a new year. Time to get behind our guys.

  16. Bucnjim Says:

The two things that keep me rooting for Winston are his passion for football and his desire to be a winner. Not to mention I’ve met him and he is a very cool down to earth dude. The problem is these things have also contributed to his undoing. Early in games he’s too jacked up and his throws are high and some even off point or too hard for the WR to handle. He settles into games but by that time we are down sometimes to the point of no coming back. If he can curl some of the emotion and come out like a machine he could go far.

  17. Morgus the Magnificent Says:

    I’ll be quiet this time.

  18. Slugglife Says:

Well said St Pete. On all of it.

  19. Slugglife Says:

    You too Jim.

We need him to be a machine. In control of emotions. Highs and lows.

Save the over celebrating for when the clock hits all zeroes.

  20. BigHog Says:

Pittsshore::: Man GO get you a life ….off-season over and we are about to embark on a new beginning …climb aboard or “GO BACK TO WHERE YOU COME FROM”!

  21. Race to 10 Says:

Dumb fans lol dude cant even be excited about camp. It’s the ghost of culverhouse lol no way will this….get a second contract, how could he possibly earn it. He’ll pull a Doug Williams and get us to the playoffs and we’d still have fans talking about trading up for a rookie quarterback. I mean I dont get why they cant hold it in it’s almost as if he doesn’t have to play this season to get the extension lol they are afraid to see him succeed because otherwise you’d take the wait and see approach to 2019

  22. Bucs 14 Says:

I think this team is gonna surprise a lot of people. Sucks being in the NFC South though.

  23. JabooBuc Says:

I hope that he guy has grown up and realizes the opportunity he has in front of him. He’s got a ton of talent and can make people forget a lot of the stupidity if he turns this thing around.

  24. BucsFan727 Says:

O yes no dought about it Winston is going to have a monster year. # GoBucs

  25. Old School Athlete Says:

    I’m on board. Let’s go!!

  26. Pittsshore Says:

@cgmaster: I do apologize that my views do not mirror yours. Your inability to be open minded about other opinions reminds me of one of those Clinton supporters. The fact is we will always suck while JW is the starting QB.

  27. Defense Rules Says:

@Pittshore … “The fact is we will always suck while JW is the starting QB.” Uhhh, not sure you’re the best one Pittshore to chastise others about NOT being OPEN-MINDED.

  28. Dienda Says:

I guess I’m missing something and am hoping someone can fill me in. The first sentence says “A patriotic request was issued at One Buc Palace today”. Yet, when reading the article, there is NO mention of what the “patriotic” request was. Please help me understand what the heck the “patriotic” request was.

  29. Joe Says:

I guess I’m missing something and am hoping someone can fill me in.

All in the first paragraph and the photo caption.

  30. Crockett69 Says:

If you are a true Bucs fan and a poster on here then you certainly want Jamies to succeed. If not then maybe you are not a true Bucs Fan.
