The Jameis Influence On Arians

February 28th, 2019

Touching moment with America.

Yes, we know  Bucco Bruce Arians came to the Bucs in large part because he viewed the team as having a quarterback in America’s Quarterback, Pro Bowler Jameis Winston.

In a sitdown with NFL Network, Arians recounts a story of how Jameis sought him out after the Cardinals beat up on the Bucs. It left a lasting impression on Arians and may have been the sales pitch for Arians to come to the Bucs that nobody envisioned at the time.

Also, the “Good Morning, Football” gang of Kay Adams, Nate Burleson and Will Selva discuss how Arians can help Jameis. Selva also has an interesting Dirk Koetter nugget as well.

I think what we are gonna realize after just one season under BA is Winston is a risk taker and will throw the ball away but Koetter is the one that sucks because Winston will play better and if this team wins more and it is obviously tied to the play of Winston what other conclusions can you draw except Koetter is an amateur

He put big Fitz in the slot to block. Unless we get a VERY good deal, I’d say it’s by to Hump and welcome Watson, who was the best player on our sh!tty ST last year.

BA saw we have the talent we just lacked the coaching….

@realist, you still proof reading smitty’s diary’s?….stop hiding chump!!!!!

    #REALISTKNOWSNOTHING!!!!….GO BUCS!!!!!

  4. SOEbuc Says:

Jameis is better with bigger receivers. I’m going to cry if Watson comes in and starts to destroy things.

At the end of the day, (lets just say week 8), we as Buc fans can have a true take on the Winston v Koetter saga. I think I know. Arians will put the players in a place to succeed. I wanted Koetter out last season. Everyone blaming Winston for this teams horrid record, needs to make sure and give him all of the credit after the Bucs win at least one playoff game next season. For those of you blaming Winston for every Buc trouble, your bed is made.

@tnew…. I loved everything you said right there… My money has been and still is on Winston…. I’ve seen the crap the Glaziers have put around our 1st round pick… A proven winner desperate to make something happen in every play…. Enough!….let’s get this show on the road!! Go Bucs!!

Winston is the man this year so no one is coming in that has a chance to challenge him. But I do like that if the back up is Ryan Griffin, with two practices going he will get lots of reps

    @Not there yet

Let’s not rewrite history. Under Dirk Koetter, Jameis Winston’s first three seasons broke all kinds of records (positive ones).

Dirk was/is not a bad coach.

  15. Buccaneer Bonzai Says:

If Adam Humphries really has decided to accept $8m as a starting point, it probably means his agent has gauged other teams to see his value. It would not be tampering to ask their ‘opinions.’

I would have been willing to accept paying him $10m. Take the $8m and run with it.

Magoo will never, ever, never ever be a franchise QB. Quit dreaming guys. We only make playoffs if rest of team carries his 20th ranked self.
