“The Best Hire So Far”

January 16th, 2019

Approves.

Now this is an interesting angle.

Many national NFL pundits are giving Team Glazer and Bucs AC/DC-loving general manager Jason Licht a golf clap after hiring Bucco Bruce Arians as your 12th head coach.

Colin Cowherd of FS1 seems to be of the same mind. But he explained in a different way. Yes, he loves the hire of Arians. But the reason Cowherd thinks the Bucs made the best hire is that the other five hires were wrong.

And Cowherd details how those five teams (there are still two openings but it is believed both Miami and Cincinnati already have their men) bungled their hires in the video below.

    Love this!
BA…I got you!…. Bring your Benz across the street!.. Nothing but LOVE!

  3. snookman Says:

means nothing untl the results. I love the hire but the team has to go out there and win. I think they will but I have been burned over the last 15 years with false optimism.’

  4. AfrikaThaRapper Says:

I sincerely hope and pray that it works out for us. The Cleveland Browns of the NFC……sheeeesh. Go Bucs.

    DB55

Are you drunk and looking in the mirror?

  7. Tval Says:

How about once, just ONCE, this community gets behind this team BEFORE they win a championship?? For the ones who, incessantly, hate Jameis you should be able to embrace your rebel-of-a-qb who isn’t afraid to take chances, ala, Nick Foles. He stood behind Fitz, like NO other, young, franchise qb would have…for the team. Just like Nick did for Carson. The 3 hires, Arians, Bowles, and Leftwich are ALL drastic upgrades over the previous regime. And the Eagles, HORRIFIC, trade for Wentz made Cleveland…not coaching or Bakers erratic behind.

  8. Todd Says:

And to all of the other teams who hired to “the exception”…good luck filling a coaching staff to manage one practice, let alone two.

Nah, give me the Arian Goat Herd all day long.

  9. Clodhopper Says:

Hes absolutely right! Theres no guarantee BA will work out, but chasing the exception is a stupid tactic. Like when Russel Wilson proved how good he was, everyone wanted a short speedy qb like they grow on trees.

For every Sean McVay, there’s 3000 Raheem Morris’

the hire is looking good but games have to be played and won before we can say its the best….

    #REALIST KNOWSNOTHING!!!!…GO BUCS!!!!

  11. Hodad Says:

Let’s not forget the talent Sean McVay has to work with. That’s a team that had a lot of bad years, and drafted some great great players, like Donald, Gurley. They are a stacked team right now, with vets like Suh, Talib, solid along both lines of scrimmage. Is McVay a good coach? I’d say so, but he has a hell of a roster to work with.

  12. Jonathan Lipnicki Says:

Saw this segment and enjoyed it. There really were a lot of dubious head coaching hires ( Packers, Jets, Cards ).And for the first time in a decade…it isn’t our beloved Bucs doing the shatting!

  13. Pryda..sec147 Says:

We can have a dominate home field advantage we need to Pack ray J this year

  14. Mike Johnson Says:

I’m truly hoping the stars have finally aligned for our Bucs. I do beleive we got the best coach and staff of the lot. Now lets..Get to work. Just get to the playoffs or finish at least 8-8 this 1st season under our new HC. Thats all I ask. We been in that celler to GD long!

As much as I hate this clown ahem guy, he makes a good point.
