DJax Bolts Out Of Stadium

November 25th, 2018

In a rush to leave.

It reminded Joe of LeGarrette Blount. And that’s not a good thing.

Today, Joe was in the bowels of the Den of Depression, not far from the tunnel where the Bucs exit the field and head to the locker room. Joe wanted to catch Bucs players coming off the field, victorious after beating the 49ers.

The game had just ended. Joe was just getting his phone out to record when here came running DeSean Jackson. It was a mere few seconds after the final whistle. While Bucs players were mingling on the field celebrating and catching up with friends across the field from San Francisco, DJax acted as if a fire had broken out.

Jackson even beat the game officials, as you can see in the video below.

Jackson was not in the locker room for reporters after the game either.

Now Joe has no idea why DJax was in such a rush. So it is not fair to speculate. But it did remind Joe of Blount.

When the Bucs would win and Blount wouldn’t get enough carries, he bolted off the field pouting. Now Joe knows that once again, Jackson and America’s Quarterback, Pro Bowler Jameis Winston, struggled to connect today. Maybe DJax is peeved about that? Maybe he is peeved his preference at quarterback, journeyman backup Ryan Fitzpatrick, is all but done for the year.

At best, it was a bad look by Jackson not wanting any part of his team after a home win.

One reason Joe mentions this is not long after Joe witnessed Blount bolt from the field a few times, he was sent packing to the Belicheats. A suit had told Joe after Joe mentioned Blount sprinting off the field after wins, “And that’s one reason why he’s no longer here,” as the suit pointed right at Joe’s nose.

So is DJax peeved at Jameis, at Bucs Bit-O-Honey-snacking, Ozark-watching, yams-eating coach Dirk Koetter?

Remember, DJax already begged for a trade out of here.

Or perhaps DJax had to really drop a No. 2 in the worst way?

    Jameis Winston
    Jared Goff
    Baker Mayfield
    Deshaun Watson
    Carson Wentz
    Patrick Mahomes
    Dak Prescott
    Mitchell Trubisky

Jameis is the veteran of this group but arguably the most inconsistent and turnover prone than the others. Its year 4 and we’re pleasantly surprised that Jameis didn’t turn the ball over against a horrible 49’s team, regardless of defensive ranking. He has barely progressed since his rookie year.

  2. Rojas Says:

Drama queen, get him out of here.

  3. Dooshlarue Says:

    I think DJax is racist.

  4. Larry Woods Says:

Was that not a bad team that we lost to last week? The difference in all of those names you listed is a run game and semi breathing defense. It can’t be understated

  5. rrsrq Says:

    Joe,

did you notice the first player to congratulate Hump on the TD, it was Djax

  6. Jonathan Lipnicki Says:

This is a shame…DJax is such a talent but these types of antics are his downfall.

  7. Lamarcus Says:

Probobly Djx the leader of the JW hate movement… Reminds of a villian running away after defeat

  8. TBB2017 Says:

everyone needs to realize that he actually had quite a few opportunities to catch the ball but he absolutely made no effort. did you all see this? he definitely needs to get outta here if he’s acting like that…..

  9. Dapostman Says:

Story is about DJax quitting on his team and a clown is talking about Jameis Winston.

Clowns to the left of me, jokers to the right………………

  10. orlbucfan Says:

Screw him. He should have caught that first pass Fameis threw to him to start the game. It would have been 7-0 Bucs. I listen to these games on radio to give you a perspective.

  11. Reach87 Says:

Shut the Buc, you should do that. As a team we played and beat the 10th ranked Defense. QB played great. You can’t see it cause you have no concept of NFL football or team. You will never enjoy a Bucs win, and you don’t Deserve to cause your first post is a miasmatic pool of garbage. You simply don’t know what a win is. You are not a Bucs fan. Go Bucs!

  12. Bucs Fan #7423 Says:

Djax has better things to do than BS with coworkers after he collects his paycheck, just like the rest of us working class Americans!

You want Djax to be happy???? Throw the ball DEEP to him, THATS WHY YOU FREAKIN SIGNED HIM!!!

Want him to return every punt??? THIS AINT A VIDEO GAME!!!

God D# u fans are so stupid

  13. LakeLand Says:

I remember Blount doing it, when he was playing for the Steelers

But you have to blame Jason Licht for not trading DJax

  14. TheBucsAnthem Says:

Winston couldn’t get him the ball when he was WIDE OPEN on three separate occasions

Run Bro…………. Run as far and as fast as you can from this shame of a wannabe franchise QB Mr Winston………..

  15. Buccaneer Bonzai Says:

Diarrhea. He had to run…and then he was stuck there!

Seriously though…I hope Licht trades him after the season.

  16. LakeLand Says:

    LOL

    Bucs fan #7423

  17. Bucs Fan #7423 Says:

    Joe,

That video clip would have been better if Djax said

“YOU LIKE THAT! YOU LIKE THAT!!!!!!”

  18. thunderchunkyPA Says:

Licht screwed up when he had the chance to trade him. So now he will be all pissy and bitchy for the rest of this season. Can they make a move to get something for him this off-season? He will get cut to save that 10 plus mill in 2019. Give some of that cash to Hump please!

  19. Mikiebucsfan76 Says:

Jamis or whatever its still something wrong in Tampa I’ve watch the bucs since 1976 I love the win but play calling didn’t look so good defense still not playing to the talent they have. The 49’s qb was a bit off which gave the bucs a lot of opportunity and they still only scored 27 points not throwing under the bus I am happy that we did win the game and Jamis played decent I wonder if they already know that Koetter is gone

  20. JimmyJack Says:

Jackson was absolutely terrible today IMO.

  21. Buc68 Says:

If you go back and watch the last two years of interceptions from both Fitz and Winston an alarming percentage of them are on attempts to DJax. I think he’s a great player but it’s just not working. He should have been traded for whatever we could get.

  22. Wesley Says:

He’s a me me me me type player, should never have been signed.

  23. Maze Says:

Really sucks he wasn’t already traded. Someone better take him in the offseason.

  24. LakeLand Says:

The Bucs were 9-7 in 2016 and moving in the right direction

They had no-name players performing well on the football field
Then they decided to add the big name free agents

And it’s been a struggle ever since

  25. JimmyJack Says:

The worst move Licht made this year was not trading D-Jax. Djax spoke out for a trade and Licht hung up on whoever called………Not Forgivable!!

  26. Tampabaybucfan Says:

Maybe…just maybe he had to do an ASJ….

  27. Curse of Gruden Says:

Come-on Joe, get facts before writing this stuff. Pure speculation. Quit reporting like a junior high school girl, and do some work.

  28. Season Is Over Says:

Maybe he was still looking for the pass from Winston that was 15 yards away from him for the TD. Why would he want to talk to the media that is trying to run him out of town? No one can blame him for being disappointed. Everyone was blindsided by Winston not being able to hit the deep pass. You expected him to sign autographs?

  29. Vincente Says:

Wow. Make a story out of nothing. How about you wait and see why he was in such a hurry to leave before speculating. I swear this website is either kissing Winston’s turnover prone rear end or taking a huge dump on its own players.

  30. BucEmUp Says:

Maybe Djax put down some big money on San Fran winning today against the Bucs. That wouldn’t surprise me.

The guy should really be the number 4 wr on the team. If Godwin and Hump were on the filed every 3 wr set its would simply be a better more reliable harder working harder fighting set of WR’s.

Its not hard to see. I don’t say that because he left early, I say that because its the truth

  31. ATrain Says:

Why is it Bad that DJax wants the QB to throw catchable balls

Y’alls love for Jamies is incredible

He didn’t turn the ball over that is great

But to be ELITE he has to hit a WR in stride

DJax is pissed because he wants the Ball winners usually do

  32. JimmyJack Says:

Curse of Gruden…..Djax left his team. Ran off on his own. May sound silly to you but it’s a very telling detail.

    Appreciate the heads up Joe.

  33. Bucs Fan Since ‘76 Says:

    DJax = Anthem 😎

  34. Warthog Says:

Who cares. He’s a great WR but with Evans, Godwin and Hump he’s surplus to needs. If he doesn’t wanna be here ship him the fudge out.

  35. Duthsty Rhothdes Says:

another jason gump blunder by not dealing djax

  36. Reach87 Says:

Ps, Evans left early too. But let’s not speculate. Worst fans ever. Go Bucs!

  37. LakeLand Says:

DJax don’t celebrate beating 2-8 teams

    His early departure is understandable

  38. K_Bassuka Says:

Well that’s the only time he doesn’t quit while running deep. He should’ve taken Suckpatrick with him!

  39. Skoorb43 Says:

When the pass towards the end was low and behind he came to the sideline and threw his helmet. He’s a D bag. Worried about himself. Be happy we are winning you selfish overpaid child. Smh

  40. Dapostman Says:

Mesean needs to go. It always looks like Winston is pressing to get him the ball. He’s a one trick pony and if the ball is not placed gently into his arms he makes ZERO effort to catch the ball. He’s a cancer and he’s replaceable. Save the money for defense next year. Cut bait with Mesean…………………….

  41. TouchDownTampaBay Says:

MikieBucsfan wins the award for longest run out sentence and most incoherent post. Every heard of a period dude?

  42. Pryda Says:

Jameis has barely progressed Gtfo Hater lol Jameis is here to stay

  43. orlbucfan Says:

Well, he sure had no problems catching the same homerun pass to start the season from wrinkle Fitzpatrick. What’s his buzz with Fameis??

  44. Mikiebucsfan76 Says:

sorry about that touchdowntampa didn’t mean to be incoherent, was watching the late games and typing at the same time.

  45. Getaclue Says:

Jackson makes no effort. Half of our turnovers are from trying to get him the ball and half of those could of been broken up if he tried. He hurts the team more than he helps with his piss poor effort. He needs to strictly return kicks and let Evans ,Godwin and Hump be the wrs

  46. Ndog Says:

Also saw him come off the field one time and throw his helmet to the sidelines. So let’s just say that was a bad throw, though I’m not sure it was, but let’s just say it was. Did you see Jameis throw his helment after Djax dropped that first throw of the game?

Diarrhea. He had to run…and then he was stuck there!

Seriously though…I hope Licht trades him after the season.
    ————————-
Your runs link sucks but I agree about Licht getting rid of this ahole!

  48. Darin Says:

Lol. Bunch of sissies. He could have had a family emergency. The game was over. Guess most are speculating that he had nothing else going on. Oh boy this participation trophy society is something else. Cant wait to see this team when it had a real leader of men as the HC. Fire Dirk after the win!!

  49. TheNorm Says:

Lmao yea it’s djax fault that the QB can’t make a decent deep throw lol.

I swear you sack suckers will blame anything other than the messiah.

  50. Mike10 Says:

    Umm.. I get it.

Another lost season, and Jameis has no touch on his deep ball. Not to mention the 2-3 short passes Jameis threw at his feet. I’d be pissed too!

  51. Dre Says:

    Could be a family emergency

  52. Ndog Says:

I love how Jameis plays the exact game all the haters have been asking for and they still rip him. Yeah you’re really fans of the team. SMH you people are so sad.

  53. Mike Johnson Says:

Cut It Out $ Knock It Off Joe..Please!! Don’t be so judgemental. The man may have had a need to get home, or use the Sh,T.er! Hell, let the others celebrate for him. Game was over. A rare Buc Win was all that counted. Better cherish this one. cause the next 2 games will be..Sheer terror.

  54. stpetebucsfan Says:

    NDOG

What are you talking about? Do you expect unanimous approval for JW after his first game without a turnover?

I gave him an A- today…clearly his best game of this season and when all things are considered…outside of that Philly game maybe the best of his career. I’m supposed to be a hater.

I absolutely cannot defend DJAX. He was the victim of some bad luck today…most of JW’s errant throws were directed at DJAX. I’m not talking incomplete bombs just missed passes. I find it hard to believe that JW would deliberately miss DJAX…I think it was just the way the game unfolded.

As IRA pointed out there was no way DJAX would finish all three years here….he’s too expensive and players like Godwin and OJ have made him replaceable at his price.

Still receivers can be prima donnas and DJAX seems to fill the bill there.

  55. Stokes963 Says:

Did anyone notice the giant gold bracelet he was wearing during the game? I’ve never seen that before. Jamies threw an out route to him. He never turned back to look, and was shocked when the ball hit him in the foot. He is done with this team so I hope the team is done with him. Trade him and get a pick.

    ===========================
You got that right. On a deep ball Magoo Magic can’t even get the pass in the same zip code as the receiver.

  57. DB55 Says:

Take away the 8 targets to DivaJax and Winston threw for 29/30. 97% completion rate.

  58. Jean Lafitte Says:

Boy I can’t believe you’re trying to give this wild assumption legs. It reads like a shock header on a tabloid magazine cover lol.

  59. bucfan999 Says:

DJax is gone after the season or even before if he keeps pouting. Take the money we pay him an give some to Humphries, a consummate team player who deserves to be paid! Going into the offseason the Bucs have to upgrade the right side of the O-Line, Backup RB, & DB. They can save a lot of money by trading or cutting DJAX & McCoy. I like McCoy but he his getting older and slowing down plus Vita Vea looks like he is finally coming around. It took a while but he did miss just about all of the preseason and the 1st few game of the regular season. & the Bucs need to pony up the money and keep Famous Jameis as out franchise QB.

  60. donuts Says:

He obviously had front row tickets to the Lightning game tonight. Go Bucs and Bolts. On an NFL note, it’s oossible he had another obligation. I mean I don’t want to read anything into this as I think that would be errant. He had 4 catches and a good run so I am not so sure about the drama. The bomb misfire was clearly on Winston as it was 10 yards too long. He had an okay game.

  61. Dave Says:

Djax is great but when a player isn’t happy because he “didn’t get his” but the team won…. screw him. See ya.
They have an awesome wr/te corps without him

  62. John Says:

Djax dropped two passes today. Targeted as much as Mike Evans. Just cant get the job done. Unless its dropped directly in his hands he’s useless. Won’t fight for a jump ball. Will always get out muscled. Time to go.

  63. Buc1987 Says:

    MeJax!

  64. jjbucfan Says:

Stoke, I am so glad you pointed that out. That play happened right in front of us and I turned to my youngest and said, that is on Djax, he never turned his head to look at the QB out of his break. It is amazing how Jameis can hit every receiver, even Evans deep but he can’t connect with D Jax. Ever think it might be the routes he is running? Maybe he is loafing early in his routes and HE is throwing the timing off. BTW, I also saw him acting a fool on the play he was interfered with and Jameis over threw him. I mean seriously dude, the defender was holding you the whole way down the field and you weren’t where you were supposed to be. We got a flag and the ball on the 13, be happy you jerk, you did your job. Someone commented the first person to congratulate Hump on his TD was Jackson. That is true, but it is simply because Hump fell right at his feet.

  65. Knack2Babbyyyy Says:

DeQuit Jackson hasn’t had a 100+ yard receiving game since week 4 against the Bears. So Fitz wasn’t getting him the ball either. Maybe if he fought harder for the ball like Evans or Godwin, he would get more targets.

  66. adam from ny Says:

this mofo is getting his ducks in a row for cyber monday…game over…time for djax to shop for track suits

  67. Fire Light Says:

Maybe he had to take a crap
