Showering With Jameis

August 1st, 2018

Shower talk revealed.

It seems, America’s Quarterback, Pro Bowler Jameis Winston, never stops coaching up younger teammates.

In an exhaustive feature on Jameis for ESPN, Jenna Laine dug deep and found out what Jameis likes to talk about when he lathers up in the shower. It may surprise you, but it’s about football.

Bucs safety Keith Tandy spilled the beans. In short, Tandy said Jameis is obsessed with impacting rookies with football wisdom.

“I think it accelerates some of the rookies that he’s working with,” safety Keith Tandy said. “They’ve got a higher sense of urgency because they’re working with Jameis Winston.

“[He’s] sitting down and explaining the details and really explaining to them the why: why we want you to line up on the edge of the numbers and not a yard outside the number, like really explaining to guys why. I’ve seen him in the shower talking to guys. I’m like, ‘Let this man shower, man.’ That’s Jameis for you.”

The feature delves into Jameis’ role or status with the team. Now, Jameis is relegated to working mostly with the third team, guys who will be sending off tapes to Bill Polian with the AAF, coaching high school football, and working as landscapers, roofers, tax accountants or bagel salesmen in a few weeks.

Some Bucs players seem to notice a change in Jameis, a quieter Jameis, which is something Joe has noticed as well, and something Bucs coach Dirk Koetter seems to desire from Jameis.

Good Ol Jameis…. giving words of wisdom to the future Uber drivers who don’t make the team.
    That’s nice.

  2. Rob Says:

Please! Don’t anybody drop the soap. 3 games is enough. Go Bucs

  3. Defense Rules Says:

That headline is just soooo wrong Joe. The ultimate setup. Rob couldn’t help himself I’m sure. And Doosh … wow.

  4. Lunchbox Says:

Damn he’s probably like the guy standing at the urinal next to you that tries to have a conversation. I hate those guys.

  5. Walter Seidel Says:

Joe, it’s time for the Winston Poll (and yes, I spelled that correctly).

  6. Tom Edrington Says:

Needs to explain to EVERYONE why the hell he tries to throw the ball in the air when his butt is heading for the turf and said ball, of course, is readily available to be picked off by the other team…

  7. WestminsterCoBucsFan Says:

Wow, great article. I can really see why this is news. A team captain giving advice to a rookie in the shower; reminds me of LT in any given Sunday.
Btw joe, you forgot to change ESPN to BSPN. Tighten up.

  8. Bird Says:

It’s been obvious since he came to the Bucs and this site has covered Jameis

No questions the Joe’s would rather be in a shower next to Jameis then Rachel Watson. That is no joke. Not being funny. It’s true.

This man crush is real. I mean Really creepy!

  9. Bird Says:

I hope all you “comedians” are laughing at the end of the season when our Bucs are playoff bound and you morons are still making shower jokes. So the man LOVES football! Glad to have a passionate eat breath and die football QB on our team for a change.

  14. Tampabaybucfan Says:

So the old vet talking to the rookie in the locker room. “Hey, I don’t notice you taking showers”…..The rookie says…”Well, I’m a little small down there so I’m embarrassed to shower around the other guys.” The old vet says “Let me ask you, do you get erect?”…..the rookie says “Sure, no problem”….the vet says…” Well, how would you like to trade for one that looks good in the shower”

  15. Dewey Selmon Says:

You people are brutal, I love it.

  16. Bucsfanman Says:

D.R.- Agreed! NOT the best title! I will enjoy the comedic relief however. A lot of people have been standing on their soapbox far too long!
    (sorry, couldn’t resist!)

  27. Reality_43 Says:

Jameis: Hey Conte pass the soap.

Conte: I don’t have that much.

  28. Buccfan37 Says:

Black coffee without any cream or sugar please. The jokes were quite funny though.

  29. Bucsfanman Says:

Hopefully he doesn’t ask anyone to “run a skinny post”!!!

  30. BuccaneEric75 Says:

As long as he doesn’t give Ryan Jensen technique advice in the shower I think we’re good!

  31. Bucsfanman Says:

    …..or “rub routes”!!!

  32. I'm a Tandyman Bucs Fan Says:

Bucsfanman My Man!!!!!! That’s funny!!!! Notice it’s my man Tandy telling him to let the man shower Man! Joe set himself up for this one didn’t he????? LOL All I can say on this one is Keep It Clean My Brothers!!!

  33. I’m a Tandyman Bucs Fan Says:

  34. Jman5 Says:

  35. DB55 Says:

This article did NOT disappoint, lmao

  36. Bucsfanman Says:

What’s happening Tandyman?! This article was the proverbial saucer over the plate! Going, going, gone!!!
I tried to hold back. It just got the best of me. 🙂
I needed it though. These Jameis articles have been too serious for too long.
    Take it easy brother!

  37. I’m a Tandyman Bucs Fan Says:

Bucsfanman…..What about my little Chess Player?

  38. Bucsfanman Says:

Yes sir! I’d love to play “chess” with her!

BTW, in this article, is this the “slippery slope” they speak of with Jameis?! I guess he has to be careful not to let his career as a Buc go “down the drain!”

  39. I’m a Tandyman Bucs Fan Says:

Bucsfanman My Man! Your just to much today buddy!!! Full of Funnys. Keep spitting them words of wisdom! Go Bucs!!! Somebody pass that Soap on a Rope to JW 3!

  40. Oneilbucs Says:

Man these jokes are bad . At least he loves football , I thought that’s what fans wanted . See if Tandy would have said he doesn’t talk to players about the play book then y’all will be saying he don’t care about football, or if he leave practice early then y’all will call him selfish. He can’t win for losing with y’all. I can’t wait to see fizpatrick these first 3 games. Watch we lose if we go down by 10 it’s over.

  41. Bucko40 Says:

Just more bizarre behavior from Jameis. I’m sorry but (no pun intended) when I’m in he shower I sure as hell don’t want to be talking to another dude. Bruce’s reporters are trying so hard to make Jameis appear like a normal guy and all they do is expose what an awkward man child he is. WOW
