VIDEO: Michael Liedtke Eats Up Jason Pierre-Paul

July 29th, 2018

Microcosm of training camp

This is such a great example of the wave of emotions that is training camp.

For every success, there’s one guy who didn’t get the job done.

The cynical Bucs fan will moan about this video of bottom-of-the-roster tackle Michael Liedtke taking on Jason Pierre-Paul. The optimist and the fans of good, hard football will love it.

But that’s training camp. As Dirk Koetter said today, there are always winners and losers on virtually every play.

Perhaps the best part about this JoeBucsFan video from Sunday’s training camp session is Jason Pierre-Paul’s reaction.

Liedtke was on the practice squad last year, so he isn’t actually “camp meat”. He has a legit shot at making the team, and solid tackles aren’t easy to come by. I’m pulling for the dude.

  7. LUVMYBUCS Says:

Yo Joe – what happen to the vid?

  8. BringBucsBack Says:

Since when do OTs snap the ball?

“The boys in the hood are always hard…”

  9. Owlykat Says:

Lidke showed good strength and we need a good backup RT this year. JPP will be just fine. One on one straight on is no showing of what JPP can do rushing a passer from outside.

  10. TOM Says:

Lidke didn’t look bad at all. Keep it up.
