Ali Marpet Video: “I Don’t Even Drive A Stick”

April 21st, 2018

The Buccaneers and the Florida Dairy Council teamed up to send Ali Marpet to a farm so he could study cow teats, milking, cleaning, feeding and maintenance with camera-friendly farmers.

And it’s all captured on a fun video.

Marpet appears to be a fast learner, which is a great thing considering he changes football positions often.

Enjoy!

Only one rule to milking. Don’t be a Munson.

After looking at those milk farmers it’d be easy to keep me down on the farm! I once bought a contraption like that out of the Adam, and Eve catalog, but it wasn’t for milking cows!!

Wow does that bring back memories. For a three year period in the late 90s…most would think of it as my down and out period but I loved it….I drove a semi out onto Florida’s Dairy Farms and picked up their product in those shiny tankers and ran it over to Publix or Winn Dixie.

Back in the 90’s of course Florida real estate hadn’t caught up to it’s boom and there were still lots of little family dairy farms(100-200 cows) dotting Tampa…used to pick up at a couple in Brandon that of course have been long gone.

By the time I stopped though production was shifting to “milk factories” like the one Ali visited. 4 herds of 350 cows and managed very scientifically.

    That was fun.

Didn’t hurt that both “farmers” just happened to be super cute young blondes – right Ali??

Leave it to you to find the real “observation”. Guess I’m just getting too old but I certainly agree now that you point it out.

It did seem like he was having far more fun there than the cows could provide.

The one blonde showing Ali around was married, I think. Not sure about her sister. I am disappointed Ali didnt take his ukele along to serenade the cows

some of the prettiest farmers I’ve ever seen, that’s for sure.

Milk is for baby cows unless it’s mixed with chocolate.

Ali Marpet looks like he could be from somewhere in Marion County.
