Three Playoff Teams After Suh

March 22nd, 2018

The final three.

Joe is just going to throw this out there.

Joe does not expect the Bucs to suddenly back-door the party and quickly get involved in the Ndamukong Suh sweepstakes. The Bucs ponied up for some defensive tackles in free agency — though none with the resume of Suh.

Yesterday, Suh told the Raiders, thanks but no thanks. The final three teams vying for his services are the Rams, the Saints and the Titans — playoff teams all.

Bucs coach Dirk Koetter likes to say the Bucs can’t have enough good players. Well, then what’s stopping the Bucs from grabbing one of the game’s better defensive tackles? It is not like the Bucs are swimming in red ink.

The fact Rams defensive coordinator Wade Phillips — a true defensive wizard — apparently is on-board with bringing in Suh to pair alongside Aaron Donald really has Joe’s attention. If Phillips can find a way to use Suh next to the game’s best defensive tackle, why couldn’t Bucs defensive coordinator Mike Smith benefit from Suh next to stud defensive tackle Gerald McCoy?

Remember, the Rams, Saints and Titans don’t have the cap space the Bucs have. So how is it these three teams can somehow squirrel Suh’s salary into their budgets but the Bucs apparently cannot?

As the creator, curator and overall guru of Pro Football Talk, the great Mike Florio Twittered last night, pairing Donald and Suh would give the Rams an interior rush so fierce that even prickly Pete Prisco could rush the quarterback from the edge.

Your cancer93 love is beyond misplaced you are now as delusional as Hawaiian, bonzi and pickgrin…

Your fear of a career loser is hilarious. The lack of legit criticism is bordering incompetence. I guess cancer93 has not only the glazers by short hairs but Joe too.

  2. Bnomo Says:

Suh to mean for G Mc.

To good for Bucs. Want only mediocre players. No more Sapps, Brooks, Lynchs.

Don’t need a very good or great defence with such a spectacular offene.😂😂😂

You know damn well cancer93 is not evern in the discussion for top 5 dt yet continure to spout off about alleged greatness. Like most but fans you clearly are confused. Popularity and BS politically correct statements from peers and coaches do not make one great only on field accomplishments can do that and the cryin clown has never accomplished anything in her fasiled career.

  5. Rod Munch Says:

Aaron Donald only has a year left on his deal – I wonder if getting Suh could mean they ***might**** listen to offers about him. I’d be on the phone offering up a lot, a lot lot.

  6. Alaskan Abdominal Snowman Says:

Wonderful day for a nice troll Tmax.

No to Suh. We don’t need 25-30M invested in two players of the same position. Shoot get a 2nd for McCoy and sign Suh well… That might make quite a few people happy but the result would be.no different. At least we’d have a 2nd.

  7. Joe Says:

You know damn well cancer93 is not evern in the discussion for top 5 dt

Only the lunatic fringe filled with an angry agenda believes that.

  8. tmaxcon Says:

    Alaskan Abdominal Snowman

    Truth hurts… it’s a wonderful day to accept reality….

  9. tmaxcon Says:

No agenda I just see things much more clearly than the average low standard buc fan…

  10. tmaxcon Says:

    Joe

You are living off a 9 year old scouting report not actual on field accomplishments… reality is not that scary join me

  11. Stravenite Says:

Joe, Your thoughts on this are well misaligned, Suh is the same
as Haynesworth / Swaggy etc etc etc, looking for a big payday with minimum input, every year there are calls for big free agency signings and about 70% of the time they are busts and disruptive locker-room influences, was DeSean worth his paycheck last season ?, Godwin looked far superior and another hit from rounds 3, well done Jason Licht !

When do we get the continuous calls for FSU players to draft ahead of better prospects and real needs, oh forgot it’s already started, we should all want whats best for the team and not what college they are at as currently.

Why would we want Suh when we have the best DT in the league.

    Gonne yersel Gerald –

  12. Walter Says:

    @tmaxcon

You’re in the minority dude lol

  13. tmaxcon Says:

I might be in the minority but I am always right. Watch these young guys flourish when the career loser is gone.

  14. Alaskan Abdominal Snowman Says:

Well thank the good lord Tmax and his infinite wisdom is here to set all our lost souls straight. I must say what would we do without you and your fresh takes.
You must have worked for years for the NFL I mean the vast amount of knowledge is remarkable. Im going to guess you played DLine in the NFL too because you seem to really be convinced you know what you are talking about.
If you stop making out with your GMC93 Fat boy long enough

  15. Alaskan Abdominal Snowman Says:

Long enough to read this have a wonderful day*

  16. tmaxcon Says:

    SCOREBOARD

You can’t be greast without a single meaningful win in his ENTIRE CAREER

  17. Bucsfanman Says:

Tmax- the legend of Such does not equal the production of Suh. Much like your Dungy argument. Being “meaner” doesn’t make him the better player. An organization worth its salt would not allow players to dictate the direction and personnel decisions of a franchise. GMC+Such could work but they have shown zero interest in bringing him in.
Its a shame, he’s the perfect yen to our yang, GMC.
    Please not to the Saints!

  18. LJS4th Says:

And the Bucs keep raising ticket prices and winning meaningless games for mediocrity!!! What a GREAT team!!!

  19. Fire the Glazers Says:

Suh is a piece of $#IT and we all know it.

  20. Buccaneer Bonzai Says:

    tmaxcon Says
“You can’t be greast without a single meaningful win in his ENTIRE CAREER”

Which can be said of the entire team.

  21. LUVMYBUCS Says:

Suh would great when motivated – but I’ll settle for Bennie Logan.

  22. DBS Says:

    tmax
you can’t say you are always right have been proven wrong and even yesterday state on here you were wrong “Once”. That means you are not always right. Man you can’t even keep up with your own mind changes!!

  23. Bird Says:

Can’t believe rams would do this. They have best defensive tackle in Donald and have not paid the man yet. He sat out of preseason last year as a result.

Now you want to prioritize and pay Suh 1st. The most selfish player in the nfl. Hope that blows up in their face.

It’s so funny that the gmc haters want Suh. . People …They have the exact same numbers. Literally. Oh …but Suh is a mean guy, we must get him. We need his intensity. People. He gives up on plays. He is a prick. His teammates hate him. He doesn’t like football.

You posters are the worst. Especially thong boy who lives in his mamas basement.

  24. Buc believer Says:

The Bucs don’t want Suh on the team because they know that he single handily will expose GMC for being the comic book loving tutti fruiti with rainbow sprinkles Dora the Explorer watching my favorite part of Sunday football is the post game shower with my homies little pansy waist he is.

  25. Joel Says:

So Chris Baker was a locker room cancer but we should go get Suh? Yeah, ok.

  26. USFBUC Says:

Suh isn’t getting a huge payday, the teams that are going after him don’t have a ton of cap space, so he isn’t getting anything near what he was making in Miami.

  27. Jman Says:

Trollmaxcon if your IQ is as low as your DT evaluation is you’re in trouble. 31 other teams would call McCoys agent if he were released or on the block. I don’t always agree with Joe but the hate on McCoy is simply stupid.

  28. Ed Kerber Says:

Tmax is the real cancer. The BUCS haven’t won since (s)he started posting. Ban Tmax and see us start winning.

  29. adam from ny Says:

imagine if they kept quinn too…omg joeski!

  30. adam from ny Says:

i’m hearing word out of tampa is that licht made a call to kong suh and said before you sign off with one of these bitch ass teams, throw me a call and give us a chance to outbid these punks…i’m just saying joe, this is what i heard…and my sources are no joke either

  31. Bucsfanman Says:

@Buc Believer- What is Suh going to expose?! That he has the same stats?! And on worse d-line units!
    Hmmm, just saying!
Oh, wait that’s right, he’s “meaner”. LOL!

  32. Eric Says:

neither Suh or McCoy ever quite lived up to the pre draft hype.

    Really good but not great.

  33. adam from ny Says:

    ^^^^^ @Eric ^^^^^

the first 3 years suh was a complete beast then he sort of leveled off…he was better than mccoy the first 3…it has become more of an even playing field since…with mccoy possibly even being the better one

  34. adam from ny Says:

kong suh prolly hated gruden’s napoleon complex type tude, and was thinking stfu the whole time

  35. Buc believer Says:

@Bucfanman… he would expose the McCoy is just a self promoter and is arguably one of the most selfish players in the NFL. He is WAY overpaid based on his production and his willingness to get “hurt” when we need him the most. The lame ass excuse that he is double teamed is so old now that everyone is starting to question it. He has very little work ethic and the only thing he does with excellence is sign his name to the back of his game check every Tuesday morning.

  36. ruggyup Says:

Because Mike Smith is not Wade Phillips. Different mind sets for different folks. Deception and confusion as weapons are a WP trademark.

  37. IsrBuc Says:

trade mccoy and sign suh its win-win

  38. GhostofSchiano Says:

Just here for the Tmaxcon comments………..keep em coming.

  39. Pryda ...sec147 Says:

Suh is overrated and has character issues I’ll glady skip him

  40. Pick6 Says:

Albert Haynesworth/Mario Williams type impact on his 3rd team. Trying to pick the highest paying bandwagon that will make the most financial room

  41. Pick6 Says:

McCoy has been the better player since their second contracts kicked in, IMO. McCoy has been on 9 and 10 win teams (the number of wins Suh’s playoff teams had), just timed it poorly for that being playoff worthy

  42. BringBucsBack Says:

    Is he an upgrade?
Does he make the team better?
Does he play at a position of need?
    Do we have the bread?
Is my job on the line?

  43. SkiBucsFan Says:

    Tmax-i-Pad,
You’re A Legend In Your Own Mind!

  44. Red86 Says:

Here’s what folks are missing about Suh. He started his career in a 43, then went to a 34 in Miami. DT and LE aren’t know to have high tackles in a 34 defense. I believe Suh production can go back up in a 43 defense due to having 4 total d line vs 5 o line.
