This drama is getting so old and I would love to hear ira talk about what it was like covering the bucs in the Dungy and gruden era from a media standpoint. What was it like covering this team when you expected wins and what kind of drama did they have compared to all these losing years

  2. Mike Johnson Says:

Select CHUBB or Arden KEY with our 1st pick. Just don’t win this Sunday. If we do, we will probably fall to 8 or 9. But just watch us win and lose our no 5 draft status. Just watch..the snakebit Bucs pull it off and beat the Saints.

  3. JonBuc Says:

Boy…LD sounds down on Brooks. Did Lee play anything other than “left out” in football? 🙂 Brooks would be a tremendous ambassador for a rudderless franchise.

“Ambassador?” Sure. Pro personnel director or GM? That’s another story.

  5. Cobraboy Says:

Brooks would be good for PR, but not in a high football position for several years.

  6. D-Rome Says:

Excellent episode and I completely agree with Lee on ESPN and Gruden, especially in the context of NBC/Matt Lauer, Fox News/O’Reilly. I’ve said it for years: ESPN is in the business of *creating* news instead of reporting on it. This is a story that has fallen into their laps and they’ve remained silent.

  7. Joe Says:

    Thank you D-Rome.

Joe also left out Charlie Rose/CBS.

Mind you, all of these guys ran afoul of the law and/or company standards. Chucky has done absolutely noting against the law to Joe’s knowledge.

  8. Nate Says:

    A-O , O-A Ira,

you forgot to bring up viva las vegas w/ ann Margaret and any given sunday flirting with al pacino still hot in her aged years

    hahaha

  9. Clodhopper Says:

The fox in Grumpy Old Men.

  10. Jim Says:

Very entertaining. Look OK, the Bucs has “passion” but guys, they lost the God damned game, OK? When you’re in the red zone, it takes maturity and discipline to score. The Bucs didn’t have it.

  11. Joe Says:

LOL You dudes are creeping Joe out salivating over a woman who is closer to 80 than 70.

    Eeeewwww…

  12. IsrBuc Says:

Again with the “one bad season” Ira? Where were the bucs without the freakish defensive run last year? the run that gave DC Smith his big contract? Did Koetter’s offense have much to do with the 9-7 record? seriously?
And as for Licht, your logic is so shallow. Nobody said Howard is a bust. Please stick to the facts. It was said this was a luxury pick. We have a good TE already and OJ was no factor for the most part. Brate took a step back as well. When you Judge a GM you shuld check the players he could have taken and didn’t. That’s the real evaluation. Justin Evans can be a ggod player but a bad pick if players drafted after him, especially in position of need, turn out to be great.
    Wake up boys.
