“There Is Always Going To Be Noise”

December 24th, 2017

Blocks out chatter.

Doug Martin has blocked it out.

The embattled Bucs running back isn’t listening to the Chucky chatter or the kvetching that he too may be gone from the Bucs. That’s what Martin told Joe on Friday.

Joe asked Martin with all the Chucky chatter floating through the area, how does he handle a possible coaching change when he goes out in the community and it’s the biggest topic of conversation outside of buying Christmas presents.

Martin told Joe you have to have a noise filter on full blast.

“There is always going to be noise,” Martin said. “[I] definitely know the season has been a disappointing and unfortunate season. With noise, you have to cancel it out. Just focus on what is at hand and right now that’s the Panthers game. We are playing for each other right now, players and coaches. We are a team. We are still playing for each other.”

Martin is correct. The Bucs have played close games since America’s Quarterback, Pro Bowler Jameis Winston, returned from his injury. Each one winnable games.

And Martin wanted to make sure folks understand the Bucs haven’t thrown in the towel despite the record.

“We are defiantly locked in,” Martin said. “Just because there is noise doesn’t mean we are going to fold and give up on the season. We still have two games to play. We are out here playing for each other.”

Then Joe asked Martin about his status. He is about to finish a second straight under-performing year. His contract is huge. And who knows if there will be a new coach or new general manager and if they or the current hierarchy will even want him back?

“That comes with the noise,” Martin said. “I can only focus on the Panthers.”

Why is this guy still on the team? He screwed us over last year, Licht mistakenly brought him back at full price, and he screws us again last week, inactive for violating team rules. This is why Licht, and Koetter are a joke, and no one on the team takes them seriously. One more week of this sh-t. They all need to go.

Doug has brought too much “noise” and too little production to this team in the last two years. Sorry if the truth hurts…. but watching Barber, who I think will be a great number two back, do what he did last week, ask yourself. Do you think Doug would have run as well? Frankly, I doubt it.

    Hey Joe’s

Since you guys have email security clearance on this site can you help get my bucs saints tickets to a fan on this site. New Years plans changed.

They would be free. They are good seats. Section 137 row k. Seat 7 and 8. They are about 15 rows off field on opposing bench side.

    Can you help?

Lets not act like Martin is the only Buc who is..ROBBING the Bucs blind. I can think of at least 8 names. Need I name them? Dougie is right about cancelling the noise. He’s gonna be part of a very big player cancellation next season. Coaches Too!
