“Put Your Hard Hats On”

Locker room video emerges

Joe wrote earlier this evening about DeSean Jackson’s postgame chatter to his teammates and now video has emerged, or at least partial video.

It’s linked up right here, courtesy of the Buccaneers.

Jackson reminds his teammates that one win is just one win and they have to remember where they came from. Jackson tells the locker room that the “W” against the Jets should be a springboard to greater effort.

“Put your hard hats on,” he implored.

And Jackson referenced running the table with seven more victories.

Again, it’s unclear whether Jackson had more to say before this video was shot, but he is emerging as a team leader.

Joe talked to Kwon Alexander privately about this after the game and will share tomorrow on the Monday Morning Joe podcast.

Lame. He didn’t suck his fingers.

Im glad he is stepping up as a leader here. Gona need him to be next year when this thing looks better. Runnin the table would be something, lets get a road win before we can go there. I just wish these guys sorted out all this bs in camp, so they were ready to play early season. Finally a good called defensive game today. He isnt insane after all. At least not completely

Kwon & Ayers got into a very heated argument on the sidelines and Jackson was the guy to come in calm things down & talk to both of them… very happy to have DJax

See y’all in Miami! Unless another hurricane comes…

    This is great to see.

We’ve been needing a veteran to speak up, but also let his game back up his words.

  6. Bculaw Says:

Best thing to come of this game may have been DJax exerting himself. The team needs credible leaders. Jameis and Kwon have leadership traits, but they lack the credibility and success to be leaders. Problem is, none of the established vets have stepped up. DJax sure looked to be taking a big step towards doing that today. I was floored when he stepped in between Kwon and Ayers. Then, to see this! I sure hope it continues!

    Agreed Bculaw

The problem with this team is that they can’t run the ball. OJ Howard should be included when you you talk about how much we have in vested in our running game. All our Oline on this team are touted as run stuffing guys.

This Oline isn’t getting the job done and it’s been bogging down the offense all year.

Every part of this team has had ineffiencies all year. But every part of this team has made plays all year……..except our rush attack. The rushing game has been the worst part of this team and given us nothing. We won a few battles today but haven’t won a 1on1 all year. This offensive line is soft…….one of the softest in TB history. What a let down.

Go assbackwards Bucs and built the lines around your skill players. Bothe lines need to be rebuilt if you ever want to contend. Otherwise a weak ass team like Dal can exploit you if they really want to. Our guys just don’t want to. Soft assets

As I said earlier, maybe Jameis’ s rah rah act and finger sucking is wearing thin on his teammates who would prefer guidance from a more mature veteren

  10. Lamarcs Says:

If djx can be this said leader I’ll change my mind and he can stay. But don’t throw deep to him often he is not that deep threat anymore

  11. Buc1987 Says:

Brian…what exactly is a rah rah act in a quarterback?

  12. Buc1987 Says:

Are QB’s and team captains not supposed to be rah rah? What does a team captain do then exactly?

  13. Realbucfan941 Says:

    Lamarcus,

    A) Who cares if you change your mind? No one cares, your opinion is worthless.
    B) You don’t know what you’re talking about, Desean beats corners and safteys every game. Not his fault ball isn’t delivered on point to him.

  14. 813bucboi Says:

    100% agree

    GO BUCS!!!

    You cared 🙂
He can’t beat ppl deep like he is 23 years old duh? No he can’t. Maybe 1 here or there bUT 6 times a game no

  16. Lamarcus Says:

I’m happy for him. I’ve been the djx hater. But if he is leader we fans were looking for I’m for that. We that vet(s) to kinda step up and be the voice and if djx is it I’m all in
