Jameis: “No Fear” Of NFL Suspension

Today at One Buc Palace, America’s Quarterback, Jameis Winston, addressed the NFL investigation into his alleged unwanted crotch-grabbing of a female Uber driver in March 2016.
Below is some Q&A with Jameis about the incident from local media, including Joe.
Asked how he’ll avoid the NFL investigation becoming a distraction, Jameis said, “I’m just going to respect the process, most importantly. That’s all I can do.”
Asked why he thinks allegations of similar misconduct have hit him multiple times, Jameis said, “I put my statement out there discussing this allegation. And I’ve got to respect the process and that part. I’ve been vindicated several times in the recent past situation. So, my statements in that, and those accusations stand firm too. It’s always a growing process in everything. And I’ll continue to grow.”
Do you remember the [Uber] ride? “Again, I’ve got to respect the process for the NFL.”
Do you believe you’ll be vindicated? “Absolutely.”
Do you have any fear, because it doesn’t take much for the personal conduct policy to be applied? Do you have any fear of a suspension to start next season? “I have no fear at all. But, I said, I have to respect their process.”

I don’t blame him for not naming the 3rd person at this point. He likely has to the NFL. But why would he want to give the media a 3rd person to harass and point at? They don’t need to know, only the NFL does.

@Buddy People who cover a team can’t ask hard questions because then they will lose access. Do you really think all the crappy behavior among the players is some huge secret the press has no idea of? Of course not, but if you press too hard you find yourself with no one to talk to and thus no stories to write. The only exception is when outside evidence is so overwhelming the player is considered done. Then it’s feeding frenzy time. But the press covering a team can’t piss off that team or they get punished for. Sports journalism is about as real People magazine.
