    Do a poll on Winston?

  2. Bird Says:

    I Agree dr lob

Joe’s won’t do that to America

  3. stevek Says:

    “Totally Confident” in Koetter.

The players came to play last Sunday and that is the difference. The players are hopefully going to be holding themselves accountable moving forward.

Firing Koetter, and bringing back a 5th HC in 5 years would just set the process back further. Koetter and Smitty are a great pair, we are just lacking talent along the trenches. We need to fortify the trenches.

Was it the “Rock Star” who prided themselves on not drafting offensive linemen?

  4. Patrick in VA Says:

Listening to the Final Cast shed some light on something that I was unaware of in that Coach Smith called out the effort levels and the professional pride and toughness of the players prior to this game and the players responded to it. That tells me that there’s an effort and a heart issue on the team. The coaches can put together a great game plan, but if the players are slacking and not executing then there’s little that the coach can do. I know that that’s one of those things where it ultimately falls on the coach, but that’s really an indictment on the veteran leadership and the captains on this team. The season started with players reading their own press clippings and congratulating each other before they’d won anything and, when the season went south, they did a lot of free lancing and CYA’ing. This game was the first where they actually acted like a team.

  5. AlteredEgo Says:

It ain’t the coaching or play calling….it is the attitude ,effort and execution of the 53

  6. HowToSpellRhonde Says:

A loss to Miami on Sunday will set the losing pubichead coaches seat on fire. That you can be confident about.

  7. Dusthty Rhothdes Says:

There is one consistent in the losing culture in the locker room and it has infested and made Licht a zombie because he could not pull a trade when 93 was at its height and get some picks for the next GM, I am confident in Koetter but not sure he has all the tools for the entire team to be successful, thanks to licht

  8. Jeagan1999 Says:

    Hey Joe,

I have tickets to the game in Atlanta week after next, do you think Jameis will be back on the field by then? He had a great game last year at the old Georgia Dome, and I d love to see him carry that into Mercedes-Benz Stadium.

  9. D-Rome Says:

Little confidence. One win will not change my opinion and should not change anyone else’s. That being said I do not believe “losing coach” Dirk Koetter should be fired unless there is some sort of historic collapse.

  10. Bucnjim Says:

This team seemed to be very lackadaisical before the Jets game. Proof by the continued slow starts. Still a halfhearted effort by some which is probably what led to the sideline argument. Several players on both the Oline and Dline just aren’t mentally in the game for whatever reason. The penalties and missed assignments are happening every game which is sucking the life out of the entire team. Get rid of the couple players who are only here to cash a check and we’ll be back strong for next season.

  11. Bucnjim Says:

Confident in Koetter & Smith minus the few players dragging the whole team down

  12. T in Orlando Says:

I basically agree with D-Rone, except that this team was, and in some ways still is, on the verge of a total collapse, that can lead to Koetter being fired.

I think to save his job, Koetter needs to win at least 4 of the next 7 and be competitive in the losses. No more getting blown out, and show that this team can play winning ball.

  13. The Buc Realist Says:

I voted “totally confident” as a couple of injuries and just a move and added pieces added to the lines will have the team where it needs to be!!!!!!!! Shame on the so called “fans” that are chasing the past, thinking that will solve everything!!!!!!! When all it needs is a little roster upgrades and good ole hard work!!!!!!!! Now, if you put up confidence in the “o-line” coach, I will vote differently!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Go Bucs!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  14. 813bucboi Says:

    for the 6th week in a row…NO CONFIDENCE…..

beating the JETS wont give me confidence…..we play on the road this week…should we expect another blow out?….coming out flat?…looking unprepared?…..we shall see…the race for harbaugh continues….GO BUCS!!!

That being said I do not believe “losing coach” Dirk Koetter should be fired unless there is some sort of historic collapse.

is having double digit loses after winning 9 games the year before considered a collapse or minor regression?……losing 10+ games is anything but minor….GO BUCS!!!!

  16. Blake_Bucsfan Says:

    @Realist

Not all of us who think Koetter is a goner want Gruden.

Some of us are looking at the entire picture. I personally want us to back up the money truck to Jim Harbaugh’s house and make him an offer he won’t refuse.

I’m also keeping an eye on the Bill O’brien situation. If the texans decided to part ways with him, I think he would also be an excellent candidate.

But Koetter is not the guy that is going to lead this team to a championship, let alone multiple. He is not suited to be a Head Coach. He is a Coordinator. Just like Norv Turner, just like Wade Phillips, and just like Ben McCadoo.

  17. Mike Johnson Says:

I have more confidence in my landscaper than I do Koetter and Smitty. At least I know I’m gonna have the..Best yard on the block every month. Every Month!

  18. buddy Says:

How any true Buc fan can have any confidence in DK is joke. He needs to go with his unjustified arrogance, that guy has won nothing to be acting like he is all high and mighty. Career asst coach.

  19. MDFree Says:

I’d be much more confident if Koetter turned over play calling duties…

  20. JimmyJack Says:

Pretty cool Joe to provide a link to last weeks results. It’s gives a firsthand look at the kneejerk reactions of fans(guilty). Drastic change in one win over a lowly Jets team.

The effort was nice to see but I gained no confidence based on the fact that we still don’t show up in big games……Looking like it will be a while before we get another big game.

Would sure be nice to see us rattle off a few wins so we can see how this team could look in a big one this year but that’s a slim chance to say the least.
