  1. Jason Says:

Now the front office free agent department I have no confidence in.

  2. Patrick in VA Says:

Koetter I’m good with. It’s our defensive coaching staff that I’m dicey on. If a coaching overhaul needs to happen, I don’t think it necessarily needs to be Koetter that goes. He can stay in place and bring in a new DC, or replace whatever element in the defensive coaching staff they know to be the issue.

  3. Clodhopper Says:

1 Complete game out of 6. That’s 16%. I have 16% confidence in him. Defense guys getting pissed and spends most of his time in the quarterback room.

    Little Confidence.

  4. The Buc Realist Says:

I don’t think it is the “defensive” coaching staff!!!! Or we would not have seen the run they had just 14 games ago!!!! Call it smoke and mirrors and skewed stats , but they got results and carried the team just last year!!!!!!! Now this year they are struggling and Kwon has been out a significant amount of time, Which everyone said all offseason that he is the ” Jameis of the defense” which if Jameis was out that long, we would hear all the excuses from Joe the apologist!!!!!!!

Let this year play out and then fix the lines on this team!!!!!!!!!

    Go Bucs!!!!!!!!!!

  5. firethecannons Says:

    2018 NFL draft
with the 4th pick of the 2018 nfl draft the Tampa Bay Buccaneers pick …

  6. AlteredEgo Says:

@ Fire…..with the 4th pick they hopefully can trade down for multiple picks
on offense we need a LT & RB
    on defense trenches and secondary

  7. Patrick in VA Says:

@Realist – Your point is well taken, but I think that if Kwon going down is enough to take the defense to the place that it is then that tells me that the defense really isn’t that good. While a middle linebacker is often the most important player on the defensive side of the ball, it’s not nearly as impactful as a QB going down. Especially since Beckwith came in and played so well in Kwon’s place. It’s the entirety of the defense that is doing badly, so that screams to me a schematic failing. Whether that’s because players aren’t buying in or understanding it or if it’s because it’s just a bad scheme, we can’t know. What I do know is that what’s happening is unwatchable football.

  8. denjoe Says:

    Do a Jason Licht Poll.

  9. PRBucFan Says:

Little confidence in the whole team, apart from Licht I do have confidence in him as he has brought in plenty of talent and potential. Not his job to cultivate it.

  10. Bucs Nihilist Says:

blah blah blah GMC!!!!!!!! Blah blah blah I told you so!!!!!!! blah blah blah stick carriers!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! blah blah blah Doug Martin!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Blah blah blah supply side economics!!!!!!

  11. D-Rome Says:

What a joke! 68% of readers are confident in Dirk. The only real difference between 2015 and 2017 is the talent on the team got better. It’s better than it has been in years yet the team is still sputtering.

How is it the Rams, Bills, and Jaguars have figured it out especially the Bills and Jaguars. All teams that have turned it around this season compared to last season have an identity and a way to win. Currently the Bucs have no identity yet most of you have high confidence. Makes me wonder if there are reasons beyond football.

  12. AlteredEgo Says:

I am in the camp that the problem is with the locker room and not coaching….

  13. Big Stinky Says:

I voted little confidence but mainly because of his coaching the last 2 games. That “Keystone Cops” crap on the last play of the Bills game and chasing points in the Cardinals game were comical. That REALLY makes us look bad as a team. I don’t have faith that things are going to change anytime soon. Still don’t think he should be fired though, 2 years just isn’t enough time to do anything. Wish we could get a defensive-minded HC and keep Dirk as a OC but that is probably impossible. We may need a new DC after this year though (maybe sooner). If it wasn’t for wanting to watch Jameis’ development I would STOP watching games all together. Wish I could just boycott the NFL like others are doing. I have been a Bucs fan since ’79 and have ONLY been happy about 8 years of it. Maybe I should just accept that they may NEVER be good again and become an Eagles fan. At least Wentz can score 30+ points when they need him to. Tired of ALL the excuses! Just want to win! Go BUCS!

  14. Patrick in VA Says:

@AlteredEgo – I think there is plenty of evidence to support that.

  15. Big Stinky Says:

This team needs a lot more talent on defense to compete, so I shouldn’t be blaming Smitty for ALL of what’s going on. Just sick of excuses EVERY week after we lose. At least Dirk admitted we are a bad football team. Go YUCS!

  16. 813bucboi Says:

    NO CONFIDENCE….

dirk isn’t HC material….decent OC with the right HC in charge but he’s in over his head…makes poor in game decisions and doesn’t play to the strength of his players….

doesn’t tell the DC to switch things up because clearly his defense aint working….

losing control of the locker room….

we beat the sorry bears and the sorry giants….let that sink in for a minute….and the cards are just as sorry….beat CAR..NO..and ATL in the up coming weeks and i’ll gain a little confidence….GO BUCS!!!!

  17. ndog Says:

I voted confidence this week because Dirk clearly made adjustments to his game plan and play calling. He went up tempo early and often and spread the ball around more on the field and that resulted in everyone getting more involved. It also helped that Jameis used his check downs more which makes the offense look better regardless of what is called.

  18. BuccaneEric75 Says:

I voted little confidence, but that was for Mike Smith.

  19. Mike Johnson Says:

Hell, I’m confient I’ll get a salary raise..One day. Don’t mean I’m gonna get it.
Confidence does not bring Winning. Hard nose Kick A,, football does!

  20. LakeLand Says:

I am very confident that the Bucs finish the season in the NFC South Basement.

  21. DallasBuc Says:

    Meltdown City, USA

  22. WJ Says:

I believe Dirk should focus on being the head coach and hire an offensive coordinator. That would help him to see the entire picture of what’s happening within the game instead of trying to figure out the next offensive play.

In the long run, this will help with clock management, making appropriate adjustments, and so forth.
