“I Don’t Think Cam Is Right”

October 29th, 2017

Bullish on Bucs today.

Interesting takes from the gang at CBSSports.com on today’s game.

Each week, prickly Pete Prisco, heavy metal-head banging Jason La Canfora, gambling degenerate in training Nick Kostos and Will Brinson give their takes on each NFL game. Surprising to Joe that the foursome was split. Prisco and Kostos are banking on the Bucs this week.

The most interesting comment was from Kostos, who insinuated that Stinking Panthers quarterback pouty Cam Newton is a headcase.

“I don’t think Cam is right, whether it is physcially or his head,” Kostos said.

Prisco is of the mind you don’t mess with a team at home with its back against the wall.

“I think they are in desperation mode at home,” Prisco said. “Carolina’s offensive line is atrocious.”

La Canfora simply doesn’t trust the Bucs.

“Tampa doesn’t really find ways to win games,” La Canfora said. “Tampa lacks a cutting edge late in games. … As long as Cam Newton doesn’t turn this into a turnoverfest” the Bucs will lose.

Joe is assuming the CBS podcast was recorded before the Bucs announced both Brent Grimes and Robert McClain will not play out today.

@La Canfora … “As long as Cam Newton doesn’t turn this into a turnoverfest” the Bucs will lose.” Bingo! (That’s exactly how the Panthers suffered their 3 losses … Cam turned the ball over 9 times).

  2. Kobe Faker Says:

Ive noticed cam pocket movement and awareness is terrible

He doesnt slide or drop back enough and step into throws. I see him always throwing on top of the centers head. (Yes the center is out)

If we push the center right into cam, he gets sloppy with his footwork and only throws with arm which is terribly inaccuratr and opportunity for interceptions

  3. Rrsrq Says:

We just need to play a team that doesn’t need to fix something, because that what we are, the fixers to all teams problems (except the Texans), no running game, we can help, can’t score, we can help, poor pass defense, we can help, poor run defense, we can help…. Hopefully being home we can turn this thing around and keep Cam and company trying to figure it out.

  4. Hodad Says:

Well if Cam isn’t right, the Bucs could be the perfect cure. We make nobodies, somebodies, and if a star is falling, we can lift them back up.

  5. BoJim Says:

I wish people would stop picking the Bucs to win this year. That makes it a sure bet they’ll lose.

  6. StPeteBucsFan Says:

Cam has always impressed me as a guy who simply loses focus…whether on the field or in interviews after the SB or this year’s meltdowns.

When he’s focused he can be scary but he seems like some of the people I see in everyday life who just appear distracted.

  7. JonBuc Says:

Cam runs for 100+ yards today and 2tds….

  8. darin Says:

Keenum, Palmer, Taylor, Manning…none of them looked right, Until they played this defense of course. All I ask is we blitz and blitz more today. Its gona be a long day if not. Dont care if they score in 1 play or a 3 play 75 yard drive anymore. Lets get chances to get him down at least. Go Bucs

  9. NFLNut Says:

Jameis finds ways to win games as proven by him throwing the TD to give the team a 27-20 lead last week … it’s just that the defense then finds a better way to lose games 🙁

  10. Mike Johnson Says:

True. Cam Newton may not be right mentally or Physically. But he’s only got to be about 75% to beat our Bucs. And he is that. And Carolina will,,Beat my Bucs. Sorry guys, I just..calle’m like I..see’s’em!!
