Personnel strategy eventually burns Bucs.
Good to see that someone in the NFL is taking a page from former Bucs rock star general manager Mark Dominik.
When Dominik was hired as the Bucs general manager in the wake of Chucky being jettisoned, one of his first moves was to re-sign fan favorite wide receiver Michael Clayton.
One reason for this, Dominik argued, was that Clayton was — in Joe’s words — a blocking icon.
Well, if one is to believe respected NFL analyst Andy Benoit of SI.com, one reason the (then) 2-3 Cardinals boat-raced the Bucs defense as if it just woke from a three-day bender in the French Quarter was because of Larry Fitzgerald.
Not so much because Fitzgerald caught passes — boy, did he ever — but because Fitzgerald blocked.

And that’s what Dominik tried to say all along, that when he re-signed Clayton, it would spring, among others, Cadillac Williams. It took Bruce Arians and Fitzgerald some eight years later to put that into action.

I will speak for tmax the cancer needs to go. I am a bucs fan but I am a firm believer that McCoy needs to hand in is c he is a joke how dare he have the stats of a tool. He is only top 5 at his position at every statistical category since he has been drafted. But he is a loser we lost because of defensive tackle. And every game we lose is because of a loser defensive tackle. We will never ever be anything until we get rid of that ignorant cancer. On every losing team he has been our best defensive player. But I repeat he plays with dolls at night he doesn’t yell at officials and picks other players up. I repeat get rid of this cancer please. Cause tmax knows that the reason is him. He only cheers when Oklahoma wins. He doesn’t care about the bucs he should have turned in his c badge at halftime. Tmax did you hear Gerald is having a pretty good year for a dt. But I wish he would throw the ball better. Can’t believe he let our defense come out flat. He should have called a timeout and yelled at Mike smith and everyone else because it is his fault the team came out flat. He is the leader. Next time I need to see him grab Vernon and drag him yards ten yards up to line up on the receiver and say hey mr Vernon can you please not give a ten yard cushion. Then when he is done with that he can at mr ward and conte can you please not miss another tackle in the box. And please don’t let a future hall of fame reciever run right by you to be wide open in the end zone. Cause tmax is really down on me right now for not running the whole defense. Because you know there’s a lot I can do as a dt getting double teamed every play. I promise to try and protest my coaches defensive calls next game and I will personally tell the defense what to do. As long as tmax would then have faith in me as a defensive tackle, linebackers coach,secondary coach, and defensive coordinator.

Tmaxcon is right. Gmc should go. It will work both ways. He can go somewhere else. Where he doesn’t have to be the GUY. It is said to have a winning culture u must rid of serial loser players. And these blowouts it will continue to happen. Its not working now btw. I don’t care about individual stats at this point. Top 5 is in trash. If he can call out fans to fight publically why he can’t do that to his teammates. I don’t get it. But he does his job? No one should be spared the sword right now especially our defensive leaders. Yes call me crazy but djx should be NO WHERE near Jw. Get him outta here right now. We have enough without him and it shows. We have to include force fed methods that’s throwing our offense. Making everyone look bad on offense. Believe me it’s the other way around. Djx is no fit in tampa. This experiment should be trashed. Get Godwin in 2nd and move on and serious on defense w that cash. Djx/martin Gmc/ayers/esmith and etc must be cut and get real on defense.

People have been saying McCoy is top 5 since he’s come in the league but no one including this franchise have realized it doesn’t matter. When you talk about all the buccaneer greats they were big time players yes but they had greatness of the field they had it in practice they had it sitting on the sidelines and uplifting the minds of the players who follow them. McCoy is part of the cancer and it had nothing to do with how he plays it’s his mentality. Who’s the leader on this team besides Kwon or Winston that will try to keep the players head in the game and keep them fighting? No one can even see McCoy caring how this team is viewed. Win or lose all that guy cares about is if he looks dominant or had good stats, when has a second half defensive surge this year been because of McCoy? He comes out dominating in the first quarter then disappears ever game ever year.
I saw McDonald huddle up the defense last week but McCoy gives us nothing that guy doesn’t except a debate on whether McCoy is good or not. Check the division record people McCoy is irrelevant in the grand scheme of this team. He is basically Suh, a memory, a passing thought to everyone except bucs fans

I love the amateur psychiatry on this site. GMC is a person who happens to play a good DT. He is also a Tampa Bay Buccaneer.
Why isn’t this good enough? He doesn’t HAVE to be anything. He doesn’t HAVE to be a leader (at least not the way some view “leadership”). As a DT for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, all he has to do is play football.
I will make a statement, and I would love to here a thoughtful, coherent, SUPPORTED argument as to why you would believe the opposite. (he’s a “cancer” is NOT a supported argument BTW!)
Here it goes: The Bucs are a better football team WITH GMC than without.
Please, don’t regurgitate the same ‘ol stupid arguments. Bring something to the table; have a seat on the couch, so to speak!

Can we break blocks? Just asking or we didn’t recognize him blocking. Can gmc or spence break blocks? Fitz blocking helped then why not adjust?
