“Flush”

September 19th, 2017

Ugly days in the Second City.

Maybe it is Joe’s perverse sense of humor, but Joe enjoys seeing the Chicago pen and mic club melt down over the Bears after they dropped a load on the field Sunday.

For the second straight year, the Bears suffered a beatdown at the hands of the Bucs. And below is video proof of the meltdown.

First, from the Chicago Tribune, Brad Biggs and Rich Campbell tear apart Bears coach John Fox and wonder just how soon the Mike Glennon era comes to an end. On the quality of play of the Bears Sunday, Biggs sums it up in one word. “Flush.”

In the CSN Chicago video below, a four-man panel headed by Dave Kaplan and David Haugh tear about the front office of the Bears. To them, Glennon is finished as Bears quarterback and the only question is how quickly can the No. 2 overall pick in the 2017 draft, Mitch Trubisky, be ready to assume the position as the Bears starting quarterback.

    If not…….come back home mikey!!!!!!!!

  2. ATrain Says:

Yea the Bears loss had nothing to do with the revolving door OLine

  3. NOSBOS Says:

36/13 last season but some here figured this game to come down to the wire. I can’t understand why.

  4. NOSBOS Says:

Don’t recall anyone expressing any sympathy for the Bucs last season running on the field with minimal weapons last season after arash of injuries train.

If Glennon had any awareness, he had to know that this was coming. After all, the Bears weren’t about to suddenly improve and allow him to succeed without these challenges. But look at it this way….he has a chance to display what skills he has, and when the Bears jettison him, he might find a starting gig elsewhere for some very needy team, or he might become a career backup at someplace… like here. But he did get his big payday….so can you blame him for grabbing the cash?

  6. NOSBOS Says:

Yea,teams were telling ME “bro we feel bad doubling you all game”. Yea right dude. Psss.

  7. John Says:

BIG money to ride the pine

  8. Q Says:

You can’t blame glennon for going after the money …its plain and simple…we all knew the type of an glennon is …you can’t blame the guy for getting it while he can

  9. boxster Says:

how many passes did those Bears receivers drop? Was it 10?

  10. '79Defense Says:

I really love football, but… you listen to all the drivel (especially the guy on the left) with the fancy studio background and you would think they are talking about a world crisis. The sun will rise again tomorrow, Chicago.

  11. Capt Kidd Says:

That shouldn’t be on TV, those boys have faces meant for radio. LOL

  12. Q Says:

The type of an glennon is*

  13. Q Says:

    I’m so done with typos

  14. stpetebucsfan Says:

Listen I’m not MGMer but in fairness to him and Fox…the Bears OL had injuries but worst of all their receivers were what…their 4th and 5th playing 1 and two.

It’s not just that the Bear’s receivers look bad on paper they played poorly on the field. They absolutely cost the Bears an upset win against the Falcons and how many did the drop against us? MG8 has no targets!!!!

  15. tmaxcon Says:

anyone who thought glennon would be successful wAS either related to him or a clueless bucs fan with a man crush on a horrible backup qb. the guy has NEVER DONE ANYTHING TO WARRANT HOPE!!!!

19-9 — HOW DO YOU LIKE ME NOW

actually surprised he made it to the second game of the season. only lovie or another offensive challenged one dimensional coach like a john fox or a dungy would have put glennon in at qb. captain checkdown takes the life out of a team and offense before the first snap.

  16. DBS Says:

Ya that’s funny Joe. Was just as funny as when teams were doing that to the Bucs. 12 points this powerful offense put up. An 8 minute drive and they could not get it in to the end zone. So I would not laugh to hard. This franchise is not above blown out every season. After all it is like watching the Bucks the past 10 years or so!

  17. DBS Says:

    ^ Bucs

  18. orlbucfan Says:

Hey, @tmaxcon, now I see why you’re called tampex brains. I would take MG8 back in a nanosecond over that McClown clone, Fitzrpatrick! Did Licht/DK have collective brain farts when they signed this idiot? Fameis has got to stay healthy to keep this joke off the field. Next week, we face the Vikes and Cook, NOSBOS’ bro. That will be a test right there. Go Mighty Bucs!!

  19. Wes Says:

That sounds like a good plan. Throw the rookie to the wolves when your starting Oline is banged up. Apparently there’s no such thing as sitting behind a veteran anymore in the NFL.

  20. LongSeason Says:

Trubisky is not ready to be a starter. Neither is Kizer 4 INT and 1 TD or Watson 113 yards per game. Trubisky will be starting by mid-season.

  21. Wes Says:

Nice to be the team not going through this anymore though. This was me the year we continuously started Mccown

  22. TheBucsAnthem Says:

Well I knew McClown would fail. ……..I never for one second thought “Mr Flash in da pan” from chitown would work out…….right there should’ve been a warning sign of things to come from the Lovie regime.

I still truly hope things that things do work out for MG8

  23. Owlykat Says:

Glennon only lasted as a starter here with clueless Coaches in charge. All they had to look at was his completion percentage in all his Preseasons where another Bucs QB bested him every time or his third down completion rate in games, or his lack of wins when he started here. He is an albatross loser and the Bucs would be wise to NEVER take him back!!!

  24. Armand Says:

    Mitch Trubisky sux
