Brent Grimes Inactive

September 24th, 2017

Out.

Ugh.

The inactives are out for the Bucs and the big name that sticks out is lockdown cornerback Brent Grimes. No specific reason was given for Grimes being out.

In his place, second-year cornerback Ryan Smith assumes the position.

More and more Joe is thinking this game, if the Bucs win, will be on the shoulders of America’s Quarterback, Pro Bowler Jameis Winston.

Last year’s stats show that may not be a good thing.

Go bucs! I have been a die hard bucs fan from the start, needless to say I will never stop supporting nor watching my team moving forward! I just think there is a better time and place to exercise your beliefs. Why piss people off with the anthem.? On your off day go all out! By all means March your happyass down Dale Mabry Blvd. Just don’t mess with the flow!!

2 of our 3 best defensive players are out you better believe this game is going to depend on our offense playing great as they are 100% healthy with the exception of our unreliable running back who is suspended. Missing the two big guys up the middle will be huge against Cook and could prove to be the nail in the coffin if our offense does not ball out today. Baker clogging the lanes and Kwon hitting everything in site will not be happening today, lets just hope McCoy can actually stand up and be a run stopper today instead of shooting gaps and missing leaving the OL to block our LB’s. Today he has to read the play play his gap vs the run and shoot the gap on the pass as he cant get up field all day and leave those gaping holes behind him.

I read somewhere his shoulder from Bears week, man do we not have anybody better than Ryan Smith–that dude was bad in preseason, this is a big loss.

  8. Love and Warrick Dunn Says:

    Surprised it’s not McClain.

  9. Buccaneer Bonzai Says:

Join me in prayer that Smith overachieves today, lol.

Let’s hope Just In Case Keenum doesn’t continue to have a career day(s) vs our beloved Bucs…is Johnthan Banks available on the waiver wire?! 😉

    Wow…that will hurt…

But Joe, CB is super deep. You wrote so about three times.
You might want to hit up the archives on that for a more accurate representation.–Joe

3 top guys out on defense.

    Will be tough

Here is where Joe looks like a fool for claiming the Bucs were deep at cornerback throughout the entire offseason, despite at no point being deep at corner.
