VIDEO: Red Zone Shovel Pass To Jacquizz Rodgers

August 5th, 2017

Jacquizz Rodgers

Yes, your beloved Buccaneers did plenty of red zone work today.

Joe particularly liked how this shovel pass was executed by America’s Quarterback, Jameis Winston, Jacquizz Rodgers and the offensive line.

Man, Rodgers, standing 5-foot-6 at most, is sure hard to pick up by a defense in this kind of spot.

It was a good practice, although I have to say though passing in the RedZone drill pretty much stunk for all QBs except Griffin. Right now he’s holding his own and I hope they keep him, if nothing else on the practice squad. There were some genuinely good D plays there too, so glass half full. Looks like on running plays today Rodgers, Martin, and Barber split reps about evenly from what I could see.

Spurrier loved that little shovel pass play.
Early 90’S Shane Matthews to Errict Rhett all day long.
    Couldn’t be stopped.
And it counts as a passing play too.

Dave Pear Great Flash from the past in Errict Rhett! Wish he would have stayed here. Greener pastures for one and all.

  4. Defense Rules Says:

Kept focusing on Kevin Pamphile’s (64) block in that video. He did a beautiful job of pulling to the right & then clearing out the middle with an excellent block in front of Jacquizz. Also nice to hear earlier that Peyton Barber is getting some kudos for his running & receiving. Really hoping that the Bucs hang onto him this year.

  5. GoBucYourself Says:

That’s a Dirk Koetter staple. He and Rodgers have been working it since their Atlanta days.

Can we please get ONE big back, I don’t care how u squeeze em in, it would be a beautiful thing.

  8. Piratic Says:

@ARGH_M8E: We have our big back on the roster already.
I’ve learned to trust Jason Licht & Co.
Barber is going to score a CLUTCH short-yardage TD this season!
