Hey Jude Is Back

August 28th, 2017

Returns.

The Bucs got a cornerback back today, but he won’t take the field until 2018.

Bucs cornerback Hey Jude, who suffered another knee injury this month, was initially placed on the waived/injured list, meaning if he could clear waivers, then Hey Jude could either return or accept an injury settlement and be released.

Well, per Jenna Laine of ESPN, Hey Jude Adjei-BarimahΒ has cleared waivers and was in the Bucs locker room today.

He cleared waivers and has been placed on injured reserve after suffering a patella fracture in his right knee. He underwent surgery on it two weeks ago.

This warms Joe’s heart. Now since Hey Jude was technically released prior to the final-53 roster being set, Hey Jude is not eligible for a return this season. So the Bucs are targeting him for 2018. Given that he had two surgeries on the same knee in the past year, even if he was eligible, banking on a return of Hey Jude for the 2017 campaign would have been pushing it.

As always, NFL teams cannot have enough competent corners.

Where did you hear that Jude isn’t eligible to come back this year? Obviously he won’t but I don’t think there is a rule preventing it. As of this year, teams are allowed to reactivate 2 players from the IR in week 8.

So then why bring back Hey Jude -your man is wide open again- B? The moves this team makes are puzzling at best.

    Db55
    Nothing. You know absolutely nothing
And you dont deserve that “DB55”, either

Jude is probably our single most undervalued player. He has turned out to be a good lil Cornerback. The team is missing him now

And wait til you see Atlanta in their 4 Wr set they love so much.
Most of you would **** somebody, to have Jude back on the field.
Name our 4 CBs that will face that offense?
Now- take one of those out to injury.
    Whose your 4?

Get well soon Jude, we’ll be glad to get you bsck next year

  7. DB55 Says:

Grimes, VH3, Elliot, McClain, Ryan smith, moxey, Eric Lagrand all of which are better than Jude. But hey captain tim said so there that….lmao

    @Capt. Tim

    Nailed it.

DB55, Ryan Smith is no way better than Hey Jude, at least for now. You just listing our corners doesn’t make them better, take that nonsense somewhere else.

  10. DB55 Says:

Never seen smith get beat by 15 yards. As a matter of fact smith made 2 great plays this Week, the pass break up in the end zone and thoe almost Int where he had a great break on the ball. Jude has never ever ever made any of those plays. Never. He’s garbage trust me.

Do you guys watch Buc games?

I’m not going to judge any player’s performance until the regular season begins. That’s when it counts. That’s when the playbook opens up. That’s when Mike Smith will dial up the defense. Hopefully the defense will pick up where they left off but I think it will take a couple of games to gel. Not as long as it took last season, but might take a little while. Jude’s of lay is irrelevant now. Only the players that can play will determine their fate. Tandy was blasting the Browns early in their run game.

Of course. The Bucs need an oft-injured drug using corner who can’t cover and commits holding away from the play. Nice signing.

I don’t think anyone can judge a player’s worth from a few play, especially if they’re in the same game. Jude had and still is one I found my favorite players. If he gets his hands on a ballcarrier, the tackle will be made 99% of then time. A lot more than I can say for some. Dude can tackle and play press well. Great option for #4 CB.
