Groovin’ GMC

August 16th, 2017

GMC channels his inner-Beyonce.

Who could have guessed GMC is too sexual for the NFL?

Joe doesn’t ever recall seeing Bucs stud defensive tackle Gerald McCoy dance on the playing field, not in the locker room.

So tonight it really caught Joe’s eye when GMC was dancing for NFL referee Ed “Guns” Hochuli to such a degree that GMC’s moves were deemed too sexual.

But since this was HBO, GMC got away with it.

Hochuli was at One Buc Palace last week in part to present a seminar to Bucs players on what is and isn’t allowed under the relaxed NFL celebration rules. In short, Hochuli said, anything sexual or that mimics a weapon is a 15-yard penalty. And, of course, Mike Evans’ reverse slam on the crossbar is verbotten, as field equipment or the football cannot be used as a prop.

But even after the seminar, GMC was puzzled. As Hochuli took the field to referee Bucs practice, GMC kept bugging Hochuli to weigh in on GMC’s dance moves so GMC had a better idea of what was and wasn’t allowed.

GMC then went full-blown dance troupe. It was a combination of Billy “White Shoes” Johnson and Britney Spears/Beyonce, with GMC wagging his knees back and forth while he kept thrusting (?) himself into the air.

“Hey Ed,” bellowed GMC, “Is that too much. … How about that one?”

Pestering Hochuli for a ruling, Hochuli said, “That gets into a gray area. Some [referees] are more hardline than others.”

GMC busted out a few more moves and apparently they were not met with Hochuli’s approval. GMC said, “That’s not sexual. That’s groovin’!”

How do people hate on GMC? You have to be a real piece of trash to hate on GMC.

I think this show makes GMC a superstar in the public eye. He comes across as funny, likable, and incredibly talented. Should change a few Bucs fans’ minds as well.

that was a great scene. the man cave\comic book talk dragged on more than i would have liked, but the practice field GMC footage has been awesome…GoT chatter, the dancing, and the chick fil a bit….he has an important role on this team keeping guys loose and enjoying the grind while also working his own butt off. he was never meant to be THE leader of a football team or a defense but he is showing some great complementary leadership and guys like Jameis and Kwon allow him to embrace who he is instead of trying to be something else

I don’t even like McCoy, and that was probably my favorite scene in last night’s episode.

… could have gone without the “i’d like to get punched by a superhero” line.. was an odd comment to me..
