    And uh…get it done GMC.

  2. tmaxcon Says:

the dline should be much improved without the downer also known as cancer93 infecting everyone during the offseason. Jameis, Kwon, Ayers even the damn kicker Folk has more enthusiasm and energy than the overrated ice cream man. every offseason it same BS with this clown talk talk talk.. shut up and do something when it matters fool.

  3. Pa Privateer Says:

I have no problem with a veteran training elsewhere in the off season. He is a veteran and knows what kind of shape he needs to be in for the start of training camp.

  4. Rodney Says:

Loving the Rock Riley Reports. Keep them coming!!

  5. DB55 Says:

Was he “looking for hills” for the hbo promo? Looks like he used the stairs at RJS instead. I find it weird that a “leader” would train alone. Wouldn’t a leader want to be with his teammates to build chemistry? Isn’t that what Jameis does?

  6. Bucsfanman Says:

DB55 and tmax- Everybody knows that, no matter what he does, GMC will never be in your good graces. Did you not hear Coach Smith say that, “Gerald is never satisfied” and that it’s that attitude that’s “infectious among teammates”? Coach’s words, not mine. That sounds like a guy that’s hungry.
That he’s away from his line-mates for the day just before training camp is of little significance. DJax hasn’t been around either. Are we making a beef about that?! Um, no.

  7. MIKE Says:

    loose some weight………

Just a hypothetical question. If GMC…aided by a much stronger cast around him..blows up and has a dozen sacks and our D is staunch will you THEN give him SOME credit or will it be….well it’s about time.

Not trying to be a jerk…honestly curious.

  9. Lord Cornelius Says:

Week 1 last year I wondering “Who is that crazy ice cream man that ran out onto the field and blocked Matt Ryan’s 4th down pass to win the game?”

How do they even let concession workers on the field like that?

  10. tmaxcon Says:

    Stpete

I’d love to cheer on GMC… If he does his damn job when it matters most againsts the leagues best players than yes I’ll give him credit. I am not going to lower my standards and support a smiling fool who disappears when it matters most. GMC needs to make the most nose when he is playing against the best of the best in meaningful games. HE HAS YET TO ACCOMPLISH THAT ONCE IN 7 YEARS…. He disappears in big games and when his team needs him most. Just like the legend of dungy far out weighs his actual accomplishments same can be said for the lover of losing gmc. Hell stpete i’ll even buy you a jersey if he gets double digits.

no one can ever accuse you or defensive_rules of being jerks just misguided lol

  12. grafikdetail Says:

great to see McCoy with the TACKMA hat on… i know that goes out to a few of his haters on this website LOL

  13. DB55 Says:

    St Pete

I’ve given credit to GMC on game day threads once or twice. The fact that he didn’t register one stat against Dallas is unforgivable imo.

I was watching saints v Bucs 2 nights ago and its 3rd&7 and Mr GMC is at the Los playing patty-cake with the guard.

Next play Ayers splits a double team and gets a TFL.

I just wonder why I’m the only one that sees this chit.

you are not alone… just one of the brave not afraid to admit the truth. speak loud and speak proud sir… the world is not all smiles and ice cream. results matter

  15. shouldhavedraftedeifert Says:

Great job Rock. We all say that, where’s is mr. mccoy on 3rd down? Thats where the money is made and he’s been absent in that regard for the most part. I don’t care take off 2nd down but 3rd and long you have to get a sack, disrupt… change the mental set for 3rd down and he’ll be even more beastly!

  16. Buc 4ever Says:

Agreed! When we needed him most and when he said he wanted to go against the best offensive line GMC failed to show anything. The Dallas linemen were pushing him back 5 yards on too many plays. And he wasn’t being double teamed. Same with the New Orleans game. No more excuses. Either play like a star is suppose to play or go else where because we need players with winning attitudes.

  17. Bucsfanman Says:

That Dallas game was horrific! That o-line manhandled every last one of those guys.
As he stated (GMC), he needs to step up. There really aren’t any more excuses. This is the best DL he’s played on. I think he’ll finally silence the doubters this year.

  18. stpetebucsfan Says:

    DB55 and Tmax

Thanks for the honest answers! We can all agree to disagree. 🙂

I “sort of ” get where you’re coming from. GMC has not played to HOF standards. He obviously no Sapp. But neither is Suh….I realize Aaron Donald is the man right now but I’m still a Geno Atkins fan. But I’m still a GMC fan…he’s a very good player IMHO with enough career left to become excellent.

I think the part I disagree with most Tmax is the belief that he’s not only not good but he’s a loser who spreads a losing attitude and that’s a major reason the Bucs have suckked for so long. If that’s true then you’ve just thrown the rest of the team under the bus!

If 3 or 4 guys can infect an entire team with a losing attitude it says as much about coaches and the other 50 guys as it does the so called “loser”. I simply believe we have more than enough good guys to now protect our locker room.

This team now belongs to #3 and DK….I get that Smitty and Kwon are critical components but I honestly believe as much as I love ALL the Bucs long after Kwon is forgotten and Smitty is gone…we’ll still be talking about #3 and DK!!!

LMAO did this guy just call posting negative sh1t on the internet in anonymity “brave”?

    Wow I’ve seen it all

  20. Dreambig Says:

    Well Said St Pete!
Tmax,DB55 you guys are overly critical of GMC. Mike Smith is not alone in his support of GMC. Its been every Defensive Coordinator we have had. You two can’t possibly believe you have more football accumen then all of his past coaches. I too get your point to an extent, but again you put to much blame on one player. A positive attitude does not make you weak, more likely it makes you resilient. Just look at Cam Newton for a example. He pouts plenty when things go south and it negatively effects his game. It is not in GMCs makeup to be the single leader of the Defense. He needs guys like Ayers, Kwon, and hopefully Spence to be a compliment and together, hopefully they accomplish great things! Case in point, Pittsburg has a core of linebackers with the mentality you guys are calling for, yet every big playoff game they self destruct in personal fouls that kill their chances of winning. You need guys like GMC to keep the things from desending into a rumble when things get really tough.

  21. tmaxcon Says:

    Lord

that is really good catch there… should of read that one twice before hitting enter…

  22. Pickgrin Says:

“should of read that one twice before hitting enter…”

    That’s true of 90% of your posts…

“downer”? – “cancer93 infecting everyone”? – “Leader of the Losing culture”?

C’mon dude – you don’t really believe all that nonsense do you maxi? Just admit you enjoy the GMC trolling and the reactions it illicits…

  23. Roy T. Buford Says:

McCoy’s play isn’t the problem. He leads by example. But there needs to be a charismatic complement. Inspiring through words. Leading men. That lacks. It is not a surprise that McDonald was a THIRD D-captain two years ago…when they needed guys like David and (now) Alexander to step up and LEAD, not just play well. They loved Clinton, but felt obligation to Gerald-so they BOTH got it. Weird. So why isn’t Robert Ayers Team Captain last year? Because of informal power–Gmac owns it. They don’t want to step on his birthright so to speak. He is “owed” the leader role whether any of us think right or wrong. Think about it. Now, I love Gmac, his play is gold. Screw you who say it isn’t. I don’t care. Eat me a pile of dirt. But I am also getting tired of every year hearing from Gerald about something basic he thinks he didn’t do that he should to lead. While it’s not his fault the Bucs didn’t make playoffs while he’s here, I grow weary of his “woe is me.” . That crap works for three, even four years. Not now. Not now! Pick a new team captain.

  24. Roy T. Buford Says:

I’ll tell ya about Rock Riley. He does well as “one man show” I think. He can live or sink with what he says, which agree or not, you gotta love his enthusiasm. FOR GOD SAKES, at least he’s a fan of our area and the Bucs. He is like Evel Kneivele of sports. Most of you young pups have to Google that. Doing his own stuff. Really original approach. I don’t know if he’s a Joe Bucs Fan guy or not, but is a good guy to have. “They” (whoever “they” is) should give him the 6 am slot on WDAE like he deserved years ago. Jeeze, we got the life sucked out of us by Rick and Tom. Every morning, told how crappy things were, “and now let’s discuss politics and social issues…Tom, take it away.” Puke me. I just know when I’d rather listen to NOTHING on the way to work at 6am than 970 (great in their time…love Jack) or ESPN….something is wrong. Put Rock on at 6am solo. Let us call in and chat.

  25. mike Says:

    Trade him during hard knocks

  26. BigHogHaynes Says:

He’ll (Mc93) have plenty of time to bond with teammates during the dog days of Training Camp!!! Go BUCS!!!
