Watch O.J. Clown A Linebacker

May 6th, 2017

Makes it look easy.

Wanna get your mouth watering that has nothing to do with the hottie brunette you met at the bar or the plate of biscuits and gravy you are waiting for?

If you are jonesing for football and are still geeked about the Bucs drafting tight end O.J. Howard, here you go.

Yesterday in practice, a Buccaneers.com camera crew caught Howard toying with a fellow rookie linebacker (no, it’s not Kwon Alexander). The rookie free agent, Christophe Mulumba Tshimanga of Maine, got totally schooled by a stud SEC tight end.

Howard turned this guy around so bad Tshimanga’s head was spinning and, when Tshimanga got good position on Howard, the Alabama product skied to haul in the pass.

Joe has a hunch you will see a lot more where this comes from in the coming years.

I feel sorry for the LB, he’s from Canada and he’s trying to get an offer to Training Camp.

  2. Oj "I Got The Juice" Howard Says:

If I told you once, I told you twice..
When the ball touch’s his hands, that boy OJ is NICE.

  3. Joe Says:

    Lakeland:

It wasn’t awful coverage by the LB either.

  4. LakeLandBuc Says:

Joe…the coverage was good. I read that he was good in coverage.

  5. LakeLandBuc Says:

O.J.Howard will win a lot of battles with his height. In this video the LB was right there, but O.J won with his height advantage.

  6. buc4lyfe79 Says:

So, the bucs didn’t have another jersey to give this rookie other than #58? Really?
Sure looked like Wrath of Kwon to me…even pounded the ground like Kwon when he saw OJ had made the catch.

  7. buc4lyfe79 Says:

I dang sure wasn’t there, but that just seems beyond odd. If I was Kwon and a rookie was donning my jersey, I’d be pissed.

  8. German Buc Says:

If I was the rookie I’d be pissed to get a jersey with #58. It just means they think I’ll be gone by the time Kwon hits the parking lot…

  9. DislocatedBucsFan Says:

Good coverage. Just got beat. I could live with that.

  10. Harry in Costa Rica Says:

THAT was sweet! What a great weapon Howard is going to be for the Bucs!

  11. Travis Says:

Coverage wasn’t good, come on. He was barely hanging in to stay with him and had no chance or even try to get his head around for the ball.

  12. Brandon Says:

Spun the LB around? Great coverage, on the TE’s hip the entire time. The play on the ball was exceptional but nothing wrong with the coverage.

  13. R.O. Says:

Not seeing it either. LB stayed on his hip. This has got to be Lee..

  14. OneBuC55 Says:

Juice Howard, Cam Brate, DJax, ME13, and Jameis “all I do is” WINston…smh
Good Luck Stopping this Fab 5…

  15. Sly Says:

Decent coverage from the LB, O.J is just bigger, faster, and helluva lot taller.

  16. USFBUC Says:

Whoever the LB is he is doing everything he can to stay with Howard. The LB also made a swipe at where he thought the ball was coming to Howard. Had the pass not been high Howard likely does not catch the ball. The only part I saw the LB failed on was trying to get his head around to see where the ball was coming in from to make a better play on it.

  17. Joehelldeloxley Says:

Just saw the difference between a guy picked at 19 and an UFA LB.

Now we still have to see if OJ Howard can do the same with pro bowler LBs.

  18. Dewey Selmon Says:

Glad you informed us that Kwon is not a rookie.

  19. Kobe Faker Says:

You can tell from the stop and go, quick change of direction, selling the route…

    OJ knows how to separate

Brate has great hands and concentration to catch in traffic, however he doesnt pocess OJs quickness, speed, aglity, and athleticism to separate and pull away from defenders

If you see all the receptions from brate, you will see that jameis always had to throw in anticipation to tight windows for brate to suceed and catch. Brate cant get open by himself. Thats why he was never drafted and cut by new orleans. There isnt a QB who throws with anticipation since peyton manning. Qbs throw to recievers when they get open or if they are covered, they go to their next read. Brate wouldnt suceed in any other team without jameis skillset

I hope koetter keeps recievers with different skillset abilities as our wr group

We need more quick change of direction route running wrs like bob wilson in our team. We need a few recievers for our short underneath passing attack to take advantage and pressure defenses all over the field…you dont have to be 6’3″. Jameis being not accurate is comeplete nonsense

  20. The Other Side of the Coin Says:

Linebacker wins that matchup with a lessor TE.

  21. yrbndr Says:

@Kobe Liar Go away like you said you would… Good passing and receiving tandems have that chemistry that Jameis and Cam do. Very productive and I believe Cam will still contribute significantly with OJ on the field. Jameis will be fine but he IS inaccurate too many times. That is the biggest part of his game he needs to work on and he would tell you that.
    Go Bucs!

  22. BushidoEvans Says:

@joe Right?I thought he did pretty good considering all the factors. The LB was competing.

  23. Broy34 Says:

Spun his head around?! Atleast he’s not gushing about cook

  24. Erik w/ Clean Athletics 'The Kwon Alexander of Bucs fans' Says:

OJ normally would have 3-4 steps of separation on a LB at that point in the route, so kudos to the UDFA for being step-for-step with the the game’s most elite separators at the TE position.

  25. Blake_bucsfan Says:

Just like Jimmy Graham in his prime, Even when he’s covered, he’s open.

  26. DavidBugBucsfan99 Says:

What USFBUC saw is what I saw. Coverage was right there just didn’t get his head turned. He turned with OJ. who already had the advantage because the qb had already throw the ball when he made hi break that’s why he was able to jump for it and the kb couldn’t.

Maybe if Joe had included the part where he was completely turned around so badly we would then believe the title of this article.

  27. DavidBigBucsfan99 Says:

Once again Joe (s) prive they have different eyes than we do.
