Just because young Jameis Winston is America’s Quarterback, that doesn’t mean stuff with his name or likeness on it is the most popular in the land.
The NFL Players association shared sales data on player merchandise from March 1, 2016 through Feb. 28, 2017.
Jameis ranked 34th overall and 15th among quarterbacks. That placed him one slot higher than Teddy Bridgewater and a notch below Andrew Luck.
Marcus Mariota was at No. 30, wedged between Larry Fitzgerald (No. 29) and Drew Brees (No. 31).
What does this mean? Joe won’t pretend to know. Jameis’ ranking should rise this year, as more fans across the nation get to see him play — and watch his personality on display on Hard Knocks.
No, Joe doesn’t own any Jameis gear. Perhaps that will change 2017. It might be time for Joe to peel the Donald Penn Fathead off the east wall of JoeBucsFan world headquarters.

Jameis does seem to be the most popular jersey for Bucs fans though.
Saw footage from drat parties and Jameis jersey’s everywhere. At one point they showed an entire family wearing Jameis jersey’s. I thought that was odd, but to each their own I guess.
Still love my FSU one though. Nothing brings out the dirty looks more than that one for some reason. Still to this day.

A friend found a website that sold NFL knockoffs from China. I bought a jameis white jersey. I am walking around (more like strutting) town with my Wife when she asks me “Why is the number three backwards”……….True Story.
But being the good wife she is bought me an official NFL Winston jersey, Red.

Agree with you Realist. Perhaps the most significant thing to emerge from Hard Knocks will be the canonization of #3. People will fall in love with him and his image will be changed forever. It will be the most lasting change produced by the show. #3 will forever be viewed differently after this show.

I stopped buying player fat heads. I used to have a wall in my house with Freeman, Mike Williams, and Legarrette Blount. That didn’t work out so well, lol.

I got a white winston jersey and a red alstott. Only wear them on gameday when i go to games. Seeing as i live in cali, i only wear it 1 time a year if im lucky.

It’s the god awful digital clock jerseys. If they looked better, he would be higher on the list. The only jersey I would consider is the color rush one, but to be honest, I’d go with a Kwon Alexander jersey first.

That’s interesting as I follow sports cards and memorabilia sales and Jameis sells for much higher than Mariota … Hawaii fans are loyal though and they view Marcus as one of their own …

Donald Penn was spotted just last month in Berkeley, CA (just outside of Oakland) wolfing down a plate of burgers. And I do mean a plate. The lady swore she saw at least 4 big burgers on that plate.

He works his butt off, and has done everything right.
He deserves to be on a some commercials- and get some recognition on the various sports channels.

With the reports of Jameis working harder than ever before on perfecting his craft, and the massive influx of offensive talent through the draft & free agency, I envision Jameis having a truly special season.
And I’m not talking 9-7 special either…
Jameis’ nationally popularity is virtually guaranteed to sky rocket once people see what a good guy he is behind closed doors. They’ll see the guy that lights up a room, and they’ll see the superb leader of men that makes his guys want to run through a wall.
2017 will forever be remembered as the year America’s Quarterback arrived.

I have a Leroy Selmon, James Wilder, Batman Woods, Alstott, Lynch, Barber, and Brooks jerseys. All in different sizes seeing as I became a Bucs fan in 76 when I was 9. I also have an Evans Jersey from this era.

As a Bucs fan I own several jerseys..#3 is one of them. I plan on getting a Kwon jersey before season kicls off. I dont understand people saying they wont wear jersey with someone elses name on back?? But i guess to each his own.. Imo its is supporting your team and wearing a jersey of one of your favorite players. I played college football as well and still don’t feel weird wearing another persons name on back of my jersey..just weird to think that bothers some people.

Say hypothetically that Mike Evans was drafted by the Giants and Odell Beckham was drafted by the Bucs. Then we all know whos jersey would be a bigger sell. And if Odell were a Buc he wouldnt get the benefit of the doubt. He would simply be labeled a distraction. And he certainly wouldnt be hooking up with a Kardashian if he wore red and pewter. Thats my big market media rant of the day 😀

34th? Meh. He is number 1 in my household. His jersey is the only I choose to ever invest in besides Mike alstott. Jameis is one the best in the league. Nfl players say so. I have eyes and it said so. It’s young but this is only the beginning. MIles ahead of Mariota. Oh btw Joe why keep the Martin subject and let’s hear some stuff about Mariota?

Just want them to change the numbers to something pirate themed, and go with jerseys that are solid red like the color rush with some Cream-sickle accents. Also shrink down the logos on the helmet just a little, it looks funny to me that the logo wraps around to the front.

Exactly! The Bucs uniforms are an eyesore. The Super Bowl XXXVII era uniforms were fantastic, I still can’t understand why the Glazers allowed Nike to redesign them – or how this design was selected.
