Robert Ayers is one dude that doesn’t hold back his feelings.
If he likes what you do, he tells you. If he hates what you do, hell tells you, perhaps in colorful, hard-to-forget NSFW language.
And for all the praising Mr. Beasting heaps on America’s Quarterback, Pro Bowler Jameis Winston, that doesn’t mean Jameis is above Ayers’ sharp tongue.
Think back to the loss at Dallas when the Bucs had a 1st-and-goal at the Dallas-8 when Jameis got flagged for a personal foul for headbutting a Dallas linebacker.
Ayers was asked yesterday about that moment and what he said to Jameis about it. And as Mr. Beasting is wont to do, he spoke freely with no filter.
“What I said? I was going, ‘You stupid m… ‘” Ayers said yesterday at One Buc Palace. “But that’s [Jameis]. As a quarterback, you can’t do stuff like that, but that’s just him, man. You respect it, but at the same time it wasn’t necessarily smart at the moment. You know, but sh!t happens. And, you know, did they throw a flag that play? They did, didn’t they? It hurt us so we were mad. I’m pretty sure I probably said something to him. He probably said something back; I don’t know. But he’s competitive, man. That’s what you love more than anything about him.”
This is why Joe loves Ayers. Dude wants perfection and if he sees a teammate not giving it his all, Ayers is in his ear with all sorts of four-letter adjectives.
As for Jameis? Dude, just don’t go headbutting players. Please.

Robert Ayers does a lot of talking ( off the field of course). He should just chill and let his play speak for him. Which will keep him silent.

@ben…I agree….strip GMC and LVD….give it to kwon and ayers….hell it wont even be given to them because they earned it….
but that Dallas head butt…..OMG…..I don’t think I’ve ever been that mad directly at jameis than on that play….I threw a party that night and had a few Dallas fans over….they were dead silent during that drive….once that happened they exploded and yelled out,” that’s going to cost yall the game”….I was so pissed….GO BUCS!!!

I wish mccoy had more of this trait. Not so rah rah but I’m your face type and winning triumphs everything on Sunday. It’s my knock on McCoy. He doesn’t hold players accountable which tells me mccoy doesn’t care

Watched the Dallas game AGAIN last night. After the 4th time watching it I think the lose was actually on the offense. The def gave them every opp to win but the O fell short. Primarily bc of the protection from the RT spot.
Def held Dallas to 2 FGs in the 4th. We were but a TD away from glory but fckn Cherilus was pathetic and couldnt block anything out there. Not even a lb on a screen play. Pathetic!
I hope we fix that whole at RT soon.

I need to McCoy to just be McCoy this season. Concentrate on being the best DT in the NFL. Don’t have to lead anyone anymore. Just play.

OL is still pisspoor BUT with addition of OJ, on paper and in theory it should spread the field and get the defense on their heels wondering whats going on…..there should be plenty of options this year for one on one with Djax and ME

Ayers better stay healthy or I am going to curse him!I love his attitude but we need him on the field !!! If he he does get hurt again in year 2/3 I am going to tell him to just STFU!

It doesnt matter who the captain is when it comes to setting the tone. If ayers wants that tone set he will get it done. Youre puttin too much stock into the captaincy if you think only the captains set the tone.The problem is, is that everyone isnt wired the same. He cant force guys to have his attitude. Having said that, i do love his attitude. I wish he was available every game and made more plays. Maybe tbis is the year they gel. Go bucs
