Koetter makes 3 references to Rb’s that we missed out on. When he mentions that he’s happy for Andy Reid and Marvin Lewis, I’d bet he was talking about Kareem Hunt and Joe Mixon.

When he mentioned how much it hurt losing out on a guy that they liked to a Divisional rival, I’d bet he was talking about Brian Hill.

Don’t get me wrong, I think we got a solid guy in Jeremy McNichols, But those other 3 could have been day 1 starters for us. Mixon and Hunt especially.

Let me just say, F*** YOU FAILCLOWNS! They took Hill to spite us. The low down dirty scallywags.

I thought the same thing Blake. They had every intention of replacing Martin but the draft just didn’t fall that way.

  3. Buccaneer scotty Says:

They could have grabbed almost any running back with the 2nd or even 3rd pic they wanted!

  4. Blake_bucsfan Says:

We had a need at Safety too Scotty. And you don’t pass on a talent like Godwin sitting there in the 3rd round.

  5. Buccaneer scotty Says:

What about the talent that was there at rb in the 3rd ?

  6. Buccaneer scotty Says:

It really doesn’t matter to me anyway I like our running backs and I’m very happy with the draft results 🏁I was just trying to say if they really wanted one of those running backs the could have took one .

I’ve not given up on the new guy yet. Remember his HC was one of Koetter’s QB’s when he was at Boise State so you know there’s a real tight connection there.

I just think the protege will not wish to disappoint his old HC and mentor with bad advice on a pick.

I’ve said from the beginning that I’m prejudiced to offense. But within offense I like both Air Coryell and pound the rock beast mode. There is more than one way to git er done. Clearly the Bucs are now a passing team. All of our game changers are in the passing game. That’s fine! We’re a passing not a running team…lots and lots of excitement and I hope TD’s.

Having said that…we have a chance to be a really solid running team.
First off defenses will have to account for 3 legitimate All Pro candidates out in the route trees. They’re simply not able to load up the box!

Secondly again we have the chance to cobble together a very effective run blocking OL. The three projected in the middle are known as strong road grader type with mean streaks…Pamphile…Marpet and Sweezy are going to dramatically change the interior. Hawley is a nice guy but he got pushed around a lot. That stops this year. And for all the kvetching about Donavan Smith’s play at LT and getting beat on the rush Donavan is a pretty decent run blocker as well

We’re a passing team but I think we might tinker and come up with a better than average run game as well.

The Bucs got better, just kike the rest of the division. The NFC South’s gonna do it again. Can’t wait for the knock down drag out battles.

  9. Buccfan37 Says:

    *like

  10. Blake_bucsfan Says:

Unfortunately I think your right 37. All the NFC South teams got better this draft.

And we very well could be playing in the most competitive Division in the league this upcoming season.

Joes, what’s this that I’m hearing about Justin Evans and Licht not knowing a thing about him? Is he really that bad a tackler and that poor of a player? Will the Bucs sign him?
