Helping Jameis

March 13th, 2017

Aiding America.

When Bucs AC/DC-loving general manager Jason Licht got Flash Jackson to ink his signature on a contract, anyone with a piece of a brain knew the offense got so much better.

In a video speaking with Jenna Laine of ESPN, Jackson firmly believes he can make America’s Quarterback, Pro Bowler Jameis Winston, a better quarterback.

“I’m going to make it easier for him,” Jackson said. “That’s what I can say first and foremost. … I just want to make it as easy as possible [for Jameis].

“Mike Evans already makes it easier for him. Now to have me, it makes it a lot more easy. You have guys who can go out and get wide open and beat defenders.”

Not just that, but Jackson makes Evans a better receiver, too. What fool of a team would want to double-up on Evans and let Jackson have single coverage?

A coach who runs a defense that likes to get burned like a kid playing with matches, that’s who.

    It all looks good on paper, but you have to go out and do it on the field.

  2. BennyBucs Says:

    ^^^ What he said. This is nothing but theory. Theory ain’t sh!t without practice.

  3. Bucsfanman Says:

    Way to stay positive fellas! This guy is not a rookie, he’s an established deep threat and has been for 2 teams. If you don’t think that this guy makes our team better, then you haven’t been watching him play.

  4. Buccanegro Says:

    That part Deshaun

  5. Mike Johnson Says:

    I truly have this feeling Jackson is going to be the..Big baller we think he is going to be for us. Somethin bout the guy….

    Negativity and pessimism are things trolls depend on in order to try and make their own lives seem relevant. The world is full of cynical people and some of them frequent here daily (tampon tony comes to mind)

    ATTENTION TAMPA BAY AND THE NFL LEAGUE!THE GREATEST SHOW ON EARTH WILL BE COMING TO A STADIUM NEAR YOU!PRESENTING THE 6’6″ MIKE “GODZILLA” EVANS!DEMEAN “FLASH” JACKSON” AND THE MAIN ATTRACTION…..JAMEIS “FAMEIS” WINSTON!

    Please be early due to limited seating.Seats will be filled quickly.

  8. Fsuking Says:

    I’m excited! First time in his career Jameis has a legitimate receiver who can actually create separation. Throwing to Mike Evans is tougher because he is always within arms reach of a defender.

  9. Nole on Sat.-Bucc on Sun. Says:

    Gets even easier when you add that thoroughbred RB Dalvin to the mix..

  10. JabooBuc Says:

    This is why I think the pick is one of the big TE’s. If you have a huge target in the middle of the field coupled with ME and DJ then you are in rough shape as a defense. Brate is good and I am glad we have him but we need another and it opens up everything.

    I think we go TE, CB, WR, S in that order.

  11. webster Says:

    Not sure where the flash nickname came from. I thought that was lavonte david. Didnt jackson at his press conference say his teammates call him jackpot??? Leave it to buc fans to call people what we want to and not what they are already called.

  12. Miko Says:

    don’t trust this dude…I’ll start the Shep/Djax watch now:
    Shep = 0 rec – 0 tds, 0 sp.team tackles
    Djax = 0 rec – 0 tds, -1 sp.team tackles[oh yeah, he doesn’t tackle] 🙂

  13. Miko Says:

    @Nole on Sat.-Bucc on Sun
    …geez, give our GM some credit. You think he’s going to just draft all Jameis’ teammates? How’d Aguayo work out? Doubt he’s even on the roster this year.

  14. Miko Says:

    I heard the word “gangster” used by a Philly fan I know about Djax. I hope it aint true….

  15. DavidBigBucsFan99 Says:

    Bucsfan what they said is called reality it wasn’t negativity. Every year we look great on paper and turn out mediocre. Every year we have guys talking it’s THE GREATEST SHOW ON EARTH and turns out to be that low budget carnival that comes to town.

    So what does it mean “Flash” is a veteran? How many so called veterans came in and played like they were fresh off the street? Everybody labeled them hot stuff but turned out to be a hot mess? For all we know “Flash” could’ve played his best ball already and turn out to be a flash in the panfor us!

    Leave it to a Bucs fan to whine about a players nickname. Even when things are great we’ll still have someone up here saying it’s raining outside. Unless that player gets up here and complains what’s it to you or anyone? Me personally call him Action Jackson cause it rhymes and it sounds good. Some people up here should get a grip. Leave your thought detective badge at the door! 😂😂😂

    Make sure you also factor in how many PR/KR TD’s Shep can get when returning kicks too…. oh wait.

  17. Kobe Faker Says:

    Sign Anquan Boldin…He will be cheap

    2016- 8 TDs, 67 catches and 580 yards

    with DJAX resopnsible for the deep routes, ME will be running more intermittent pass patterns…

    There is absolutely no one better in the NFL to learn from at body position, fighting off LOS, how to use physicality to catch passes than home grown Anquan Boldin

    “Djax, Dont even look at my girl, Jenna L! Dont try me!” Kobe Faker

  18. Bucsfanman Says:

    @David- C’mon man! We all know the “reality” of FA signings. I didn’t say they were being negative. I’m just saying that THIS is a reason to be positive. The “bomb” FAs we brought in 2 years ago (Collins, Johnson, etc.) were all part-time players. This guy has been torching defenses since he came into the league. What’s not to like? Do we just ignore FA because there’s a possibility that it might not work? Nobody knows for sure. The draft is no different.
    I’m just trying to keep it positive. We’ve had enough bad years to dwell on.

    Positivity man!!!:)

  19. Gilhealy Says:

    Man, Jameis has been throwing into the tightest of windows for the most part. Hell, they’re portholes. With Jackpot in the mix, they’re gonna be bay windows! The boys at Rayjay better stock up on the powder. There ain’t gonna be no “keeping the powder dry” this season. Cannons will fire!

  20. Pickgrin Says:

    A healthy and effective DJax will open up all kind of opportunities for every facet of this offense. Please stay healthy DJax…..

  21. Stpetebucsfan Says:

    Pickgrin

    Exactly! He’ll not just make #3 and ME13 better. He’ll create space for Brate and Hump…he’ll keep the safeties from continually filling the box which should help our running game.

    Sadly people look too much at just the specific plays our players produce without realizing how their play also impacts others on the field. Can you say GMC? How many of his double teams helped other guys make a play. It’s not always the just the guy making the play…sometimes his influence is what allows others to make a play.

  22. webster Says:

    Leave to those with a superiority complex to not understand a person has a right to be called what they want and not what you want to call them. I know many today believe some dont belong or some should do as they are told, but that aint reality. Its nothing wrong with having an educated fan base and part of having an educated fan base is knowing the nicknames. Btw…our new dtackle is swaggy and not snacks or pork chop or meat locker or whatever else you fell your superiority complex feel you want to call him. Sapp was qb killa, alstott was the a-train. You respected them, respect these new bucs.

  23. GenocideD Says:

    Did anyone ask DJ if he’s planning on attending OTAs?

  24. Fred E. Buc Says:

    Key words: “Anyone with half a brain.” One of the local newspaper writers, who shall be unnamed, other than to say his first name is “Tom” and last initial begins with is “J” and rhymes with “bones…” That guys said it’s a risky move. Figures. TGFJBF…Thank God for Joes Bucs Fan….

    Good God this town would HAVE NO media coverage on the Bucs were it not for JBF.

  25. Buccaneer Bonzai Says:

    I would be cool if Licht resigned Vincent as a depth WR. I don’t know how Vincent would feel about that, but it would extend his career. Licht could try for a 1 yr deal, so that money would be freed up next year.

    Imagine having these WRs to choose from in training camp:

    Mike Evans
    DeSean Jackson
    Vincent Jackson
    Adam Humphries

    * Draft Pick

    Darel Walker
    Donteea Dye
    Josh Huff
    Freddie Martino
    Bernard Reedy

    Those are some pretty good options!

  26. Trubucfan22 Says:

    Dougy Fresh is going to have tons of room to run wild. No more stacked boxes and 1 WR run formations. Gonna be a big year for Martin.

  27. BucTrooper Says:

    Make America’s QB Great Again!

  28. Buc1987 Says:

    Bucsfanman …David’s always being a fool. We have NOT heard it all before…as far as THIS much excitement about our offense. Maybe he has in his own mind I guess. This offseason with what’s on paper now, DOES look sweet as is. So I don’t care what all the David Buc fan’s out there think…this DeSean just feels right.

    Let them be who they want to be. What seat do you think they will be sitting at when they can’t get into RJS for anything less than 300 a nosebleed seat?

    Cause it’s coming….oh YES it is!

  29. SOEbuc Says:

    @webster

    If he started with “JackPot!” in Philly he ain’t bringin that BS down here.

  30. SOEbuc Says:

    He’s either gonna ball out, or get hurt in OTAs and be out for the season and still getting $12.5 mill. Please get yourself another nice long 1000+ rec yrd. this season (and I suppose all future season with the Bucs).

  31. Ed Says:

    He’s always been a playmaker who never played with anyone as good as Winston or Evans. In Philadelphia his other WR was Jeremy Maclin. QBs were Mike Vick, Nick Foles, Mark Sanchez and some others. Washington had him and Garçon. Kirk Cousins has played well but he doesn’t have the arm that Jameis has. It’s all lined up for Jackson to be successful.
