Three Linemen Miss Practice

December 21st, 2016

ayerscarolinaThe Bucs’ injury report has some important names on it.

Robert Ayers (illness) tops the list. He did not practice today. Will Gholston (dislocated elbow) and Gosder Cherilus (groin/ankle) also were shelved.

Demar Dotson remains under the NFL concussion protocol but practiced on a limited basis.

Gerald McCoy and his foot, an issue for several weeks, was full-go.

Man what the heck did Bosa do to Dotson? I’ve never seen an O-line miss 2-3 games due to a concussion. Bosa must have smacked him around pretty good a few weeks ago.

And then turned around and dinged his own head the very next week. Karma’s a…

Gholston is certainly a concern for our run game, but Ayers is definitely the biggest concern.

If Dotosn can’t go I’m not sure what we’re gonna do. Cherilus was terrible before his “injury”, I’d be content to never see him on the field for us again.

Gotta win out to make it to the dance.

But man o man how SPAWN was flying around Tyrin Smith(the best in the business)on Sunday.

  6. Doctor Stroud Says:

ESPN is reporting that George Johnson “is back in the locker room today”. Does that mean to clean out his locker? Will he be re-activated, perhaps to replace William Gholston? Will he be ready? We are still waiting for that “rebound” he promised.

Getting closer to taking a DE in round 1. I’ve wanted Derek Barnett (Tenn.) real bad all year.

  8. SB with Jameis Says:

I think Spence is our DE. We should draft the Best DT available. Pressure up the middle creates easy pickens for DEs

SB that’s why I wanted Rankins instead of VH3…

The shame about spence is that he has no one collapsing the pocket

I think o line, wr, safety in the first round.

    …………………
Sure is cause we have drafted a guy that hasn’t missed a game this yr and will most certainly be a Star as teams already target him less than Grimes. Rankins got hurt in preseason and missed 8 games or so. We won that Draft. Let’s worry about 2017

I’m talking bout nobody throwing at VH3.

    Nos Gets It!!!

I gotta say though. Letting Dak complete 89% is akin to the Defense reverting back to Zona and Atl game 2 when we needed consistency the most. YES Jameis pitched a dud for the most part, “Too High, Just a bit Too Tall” was heard by Deckerhoff WAY too much on my computer. However the Defense folded in one category that is actually a team defensive statistic. I Hate to say it but there weren’t more than 10 or 20 of our suited players actually came to Play. Dallas is no better than KC or Seattle in a Dogfight. Only thing is they realized they were in a dogfight. Sadly we didn’t

The most pressing need this team has, o line. We need premium o line talent. Not some street walkers, that we have been getting. First round OT. If Smith wants to keep his job, he’s going to have to fight for it. Licht needs to refocus and get back to improving our offense.

There is a saying, “if you’re not getting better, you’re getting worse.”

Our offense got worse after not adding a single player to the offense over the off season. We must strive to be perfect. Not adding any weapons was a huge mistake. Signing Sweezy, although I liked the attempt to add a road grader at the time, was also a huge mistake.

Bucs will finish 8-8. They will flame out after a flurry of wins. They are just too thin to compete on an elite level.
