Dez Bryant’s Availability

December 16th, 2016
Limited in practice.

Limited.

Not good news for Dez Bryant but news Bucs fans should monitor.

Yesterday, Cowboys stud wide receiver Dez Bryant was limited in practice due to a bum back. Joe assumes most people know backs don’t just magically get better in a couple of days.

So when team injury reports are released late this afternoon, when teams declare who is out and who is eligible to be active for Sunday, Joe will be keenly awaiting the Cowboys’ to check on Bryant’s status.

Last year. when the Cowboys traveled to Tampa, Bryant was a non-factor. He caught but four passes for 45 yards. Granted, he had Matt Cassel throwing to him in a 10-6 Bucs win.

The way Dak Prescott has been struggling of late, Bryant out of the game would pretty much kill the Cowboys’ dangerous passing game, leaving slot receiver Cole Beasley (64 catches, 711 yards, five touchdowns) and tight end Jason Witten as the lone solid receiving weapons.

I’d seen where he hurt his back after apparently practicing in full Wednesday. My biggest fear is what’s up with Lavonte David.

  2. Lunchbox Says:

Don’t know how true it is, but I heard a rumor that Sean Lee was possibly dealing with some injury concerns of his own. Does Joe have any info on this? If Lee is injured or even hampered from his usual self, that could be huge for our run game and short to intermediate passing game.

  3. Blake_bucsfan Says:

Lavonte will be fine. He’s a warrior.

Then the offense for each team seem to be an equal threat specially how we have been playing without Jackson.

Defensively we got the edge though.

    Go Bucs!!!

This displeases me😔. I want the national media having excuses as why we came into jerry world and dismantled his footbal team.

  6. Nole on Sat.-Bucc on Sun. Says:

    -no excuses

  7. rayjay1122 Says:

I agree with Nole. If Dallas has many key starters out, it will open up the excuses as to why they lost to Tampa. I want us to beat a healthy Dallas squad since if we make the playoffs that is what we may have to do. Like Nole said, “no excuses”.

rayjay I wanna say this I find peculiar a day or so before what will be just another game dallas but a huge game for our entire organization. He all of a sudden is talkin bout his back hurts. If you noticed last week he seemed disengaged in they’re bout wit the gmen. My theory,he knew Janoris Jenkins was capable of locking him up for four qtrs which he did. This ishh reeks of building in a excuse as to why we whip them on national tv. Real live b@$! move if you ask me. Cause my belief is he’s lying.

  9. Rrsrq Says:

Dez wants Romo “back”, that’s all, that is his “back” problem

  10. German Buc Says:

@Nole/rayjay: If we get the ‘W’ I’ll be pretty fine with any excuses in the air…

  11. Sir clicks a lot Says:

Don’t forget about Williams Joe. I think Hargreaves can kick him down, but he has the speed and agility to hurt us if we aren’t careful.

  12. Nole on Sat.-Bucc on Sun. Says:

😊I feel you German. My mindset is we were winning this game regardless so none issue I suppose.

  13. BoJim Says:

I don’t care if their whole team is hurt. Nobody feels sorry for the Bucs when they lose players so fxxk the media.

Injury report games… must be taking a page from Lovie’s playbook…
