“I Want To Say, ‘(Expletive) You, Chicago.'”

Lashes out at Chicagoland.

Lashes out at Chicagoland.

It is safe to say safety Chris Conte had his best game yesterday as a Bucs defender.

After the game, America’s Quarterback, Pro Bowler Jameis Winston, claimed Conte’s game was a result of a solid week of practice. It seems, Conte may have been motivated by more than getting the Bucs a home win for a change.

Apparently, just like here in Tampa Bay, Conte was a target of Bears fans’ ire when he played for the Monsters of the Midway. It seems Bears fans trashed him at every turn.

Thus, each one of those barbs from Bears fans were papercuts to Conte and yesterday was just a way for Conte to shove an Italian Beef up the tailpipe of Bears fans, so Conte told Rich Campbell of the Chicago Tribune.

Conte, the former Bears safety, still carries with him the hate spewed his way on social media by countless Bears fans during his four years with the team from 2011-14. He still resents the daggers fired at him in newsprint and on sports talk radio in Chicago.

So after his 20-yard interception return for a touchdown propelled the Buccaneers to a 36-10 romp of the hapless Bears, he had a message for the Bears fan base.

“I hate to make it personal, but for me it is personal,” he said. “It feels great. I don’t want to say, ‘(Expletive) you, Chicago.’ But, I want to say, ‘(Expletive) you, Chicago.'”

If this is what it takes for Conte to play at a high level of football, then Team Glazer needs to hire Conte a witch doctor or hypnotist to make him see every opponent as wearing Bears gear and think he is playing against the good people of the Second City.

Conte went on to say Bears quarterback, bratty Jay Cutler, gets a bad rap in Chicago like most other athletes in that city.

Whoa.

It was soooo fun to see those despondent Bears fans in the stadium. I ‘almost’ felt sorry for them (NOT!).
Please Chris, pretend every team is Chicago! It was fun to watch.

  2. tmaxcon Says:

Good play for conte but someone who gets burned as much as he does, he should let sleeping dogs lie. He’s still given up way too many TDs one good play is nice but reality is he still does suck and Chicago fan is right

  3. Bucsfanman Says:

Let it go tmax! He NEEDS this!

  4. Pit Says:

When Kyle Long got injured I saw Jay Cutler over there offering support for his teammate. I have no idea if Jay Cutler is bratty or mean. I think Cutler suffers from the male version of RBF syndrome more than anything.

We are always on the bad side of things when we face an old teammate. Donald Penn is just the most recent. Ex Bucs always burn us. Glad to see the tables reversed for a change. And a great day for Conte, hes been taking some heat for a while now.

  9. LakeLandBuc Says:

Chris Conte shouldn’t even be in the league, he’s the worst safety in the NFL.

  10. Bucsfanman Says:

He’s the best safety on the Bucs right now though. Is that on him or us?!

  11. dicount08 Says:

TMAX your a worthless fan, read what I am typing to you. WE DONT NEED YOU, TAKE A HIKE. WE DON’T NEED FANS LIKE YOU ANYMORE AT THIS POINT” I can’t stand fans like that. Its just annoying. Everyone gets upset when we loose, and loose a lot. But, you still have to be a fan to the very end, and cheer and root for the good of the team. Screw people like TMAX

  12. greg Says:

what a dope…how about talking about how horrible he has been this year…they way he plays it is more of a FU to Tampa

  13. ARGH_M8E Says:

    Yo dicount08, loosen up! 😂

  14. ARGH_M8E Says:

Ahahahaaaaaaaahahaha You think “lose” is spelt “loose” and btw… I want whatever you’re on watching these games!

  15. Supersam Says:

Haha well said Conte, good game yesterday. Keep it going.

  16. R.O. Says:

I agree.. A player the Bucs will be working diligently to replace and only re-sign for league Min. I would keep my mouth shut. His stupidity also cost a 15 yd penalty. I hate the strutting around like we’ve accomplished anything… Great game. Fun to watch. Especially since I was in town last week and went to both the Raider and Falcon game. Glad they won.. But quit being stupid.

  17. Chris Says:

Thought that was a bag boy from Publix. No wonder he gets his arse handed to him weekly

  20. Bucsfan951 Says:

Come on boys, don’t you see what maxipad is doing? He is very vocal on what the bucs need to do, which by the way, we all see and know… But he is very vocal and let’s everyone know that he knows what needs to be done so if/when the bucs start gaining momentum and start winning a couple of hard fought games, he can tell everyone “I told you so.” Just let him ramble on about the same ol thing that he ways does and just read past him.

  21. Red86 Says:

Nope the Glazers don’t need to do that. He wouldn’t study our next opponent’s film.

  22. wesley Says:

Every squirrel eventually finds a nut, the guy still stinks.

if you are going to try and slam someone please be at least creative so generic. raise your standards trying is ot winning and losers make a excuses and say next year… You could always skip my posts you would not be the first fool I have said that to but I am glad I am in your head it’s a small space for sure.

  24. Trubucfan22 Says:

He needed to knock that hail mary down. He tried to catch it and it bounced off his stone hands and right into the Bears lap. Play smarter. Good job on that 1 play though. Maybe try to do that more often.

  25. cmurda Says:

For the love of God, stop with the Hail Mary talk. Conte did the right thing but it was McDougald’s hand that touched it and make it a tip drill. Watch again. It just bounced fraky because McDougald’s hand hit it awkward. Conte was trying to knock it down. Jeez people.

  26. BuccoDav Says:

Thank you, cmurda. That’s what I saw too…

i don’t mind if fans wearing opposing jerseys keep flocking to RJS. I just want them all to leave feeling the way the bears did.
