Ira Hits Hard On The State Of The Bucs

November 4th, 2016

Why exactly would The Custodian of Canton, Tampa Bay’s only Hall of Fame voter, go to bed early after such a critical Bucs loss? Well, he didn’t. Ira was with Joe in the Raymond James Stadium press box breaking down the state of the Bucs. The octane got cranked up on this one.

Enjoy!

STEVE!?!?!? I THOUGHT YOUR NAME WAS JOE :O :O :O

Very entertaining! That was a fun listen. You guys talked about a lot of problems but you missed the most glaring, VH3!

I was high on the kid, thru week 7 he was playing well. Then Carr and Crew tested him and now everybody knows he’s too small to cover #1 WRs. Not only did Julio come out in the third qrt and completely own him ala Cooper last week but VH3 also committed a holding penalty on third down after an incomplete pass which gave Ryan and opportunity to score a TD.

At the draft I said he was too small, he made me eat my words the first 7 weeks but now he’s going to be tested all the time. Watch Jeffries and Cutler try the same strategy. Coop and Julio combined for 287 yards(?) and 3 TDs.

Hey Lee, it’s LAVONTE (LAH VON TAY) not LAVAKNEE

  4. Warthog Says:

dont be so hard on him max, he only does this for a living

Hey Lee, it’s LAVONTE (LAH VON TAY) not LAVAKNEE

    Midwestern accent.

Glad you picked up on the mispronunciation as opposed to him hiding for the most part this year.

Joe bring back the pessimist columns. This year sucks. The pessimist needs an uncensored podcast. Keep up the good work.

  7. Miko Says:

same old > no pass rush, safeties that appear out of position and a QB that hangs on to the ball too long and has terrible ball security issues….

Ira made good points! I like what ira said about Koetter declining a personal foul to force the 3rd and 22 at 10-7 early in the game and the Falcons take the 41 yard FG on 4th down and to be honest can you blame Koetter? Probably a good chance that Matty Ice converts that and gets A TD.

  9. Chris Says:

Please Dave, did you see that defense? 3rd and 22 is like 3rd and 1 for these guys. I’ll do if it would have happened scenario. Ready? Ok Ryan drops back, has a cup of coffee, a Danish , maybe a muffin. Scours the field, has time to think aloud, hmmm , ok my tight end running a seam route 20 yrds downfield is open, Julio running a basic curl route is running free 15 yrds down, Sanu is one on one with Chris Conte,,,, decisions decisions, ok here Julio, no no , here unknown tight end who’s not Tony Gonzales, yeahhh me first down at Tampa’s 15 yrd line

  10. Chris Says:

It’s s moot frigging point Ira and Joe. Point blame at Dirk for no guts at the end of halfs or ot with three timeouts and not going downfield with a “franchise” qb , but that one is stupid. Take the field goal don’t allow this sieve of a defense the chance to crap themselves for another td

Seems like both joes agreeing what i have said 9 months ago

I was called a fool by both of them

I was crusified and persecuted in front of everyone here

A 6pack of your finest licht beer as an apology is not acceptable

You’re really going to have to offer a little more detail. LOL. As in what the hell are you talking about? –Joe

I agree, I don’t see any hope for this season at this point unfortunately.

I guessed 9 – 7 before the season started, now I honestly think it will be hard to get to 6 – 10 again. Seriously, what other games do we think we can win at this point? Maybe Chicago? Maybe 1 of the Saints games?

We’re not going to suddenly get good WRs. Best case scenario is Russell Shepherd comes back in adequately productive.

We’ve gone through 4 RBs already. Nuff said.

Our oline is not looking better, it’s looking worse.

We have zero pass rush. And with Jac Smith out for the season, Howard Jones down with an injury, Clinton McDonald out w/ injury, and McCoy, Ayers, and Spence all playing hurt, I see no hope of a pass rush suddenly appearing.

Our safeties are not good, and now that VHIII has been exposed, he will be picked on every single week by large WRs. Gee, who could have guessed that?

Just trying to be honest. Someone please tell me where I’m wrong. The only possible point I could concede, is that the defense played 90 snaps Sunday and then had to turn around and play again 4 days later. Maybe, just maybe, they can hold up for more than 2 quarters next week. 2016 looks very grim Bucs fans.
