Historic Jameis

November 14th, 2016
Yes Jameis, you made NFL history!

Yes Jameis, you made NFL history!

Yes, Bucs fans, you now have a quarterback who made NFL history. In a good way for a change!

When America’s Quarterback, Pro Bowler Jameis Winston, hit Cameron Brate for a 10-yard touchdown pass in the second quarter yesterday, Jameis made NFL history.

The TD pass was Jameis’ 40th in his still young NFL career. Jameis is now the youngest NFL player to throw for 40 touchdowns. The previous mark was held by Drew Bledsoe at 22 years, 313 days old. Jameis was one day younger.

Who would have ever have thought the Bucs would have an NFL-record setting quarterback — for all the good reasons?

God bless America!

By 2-3 months as MM threw 40 also In a bashing of the Pack

  2. Defense Rules Says:

Defense (DLine especially) stepped up huge yesterday, but I think the big story of the game was Jameis. He made Houdini look like a grammar-school magician yesterday he escaped from Bears defenders so often and kept drives alive. Our run game was woeful yesterday (30 runs by 3 different RBs for 78 yds … yuck) but Jameis kept finding ways to keep drives alive despite being sacked 4 times & constantly pressured. Bucs kept the ball for over 37 minutes time-of-possession and that was largely because of Jameis going 23-for-32 (70%) for 312 yds. Obviously Cam Brate stepped up big-time (7-for-7 for 84 yds) as did Mike Evans (4-for-5 for 66 yds) and Adam Humphries (5-for-8 for 46 yds) but Jameis did a great job of spreading the ball around to others too and keeping the Bears off balance. His game yesterday is what a franchise QB looks like folks.

1 of the best games i ever seen. Almost every play he had pressure and had to slide and move awy from the intial rush than throw. Absolute no clean pocket all day and getting constantly beatup.fox and the bears front did everything right in putting constant pressure and dominating in the trenches. Watch alot of other nfl games like alot here do, and no is playing like jameis with this putrid off line, no riunning game and lack of skilled recievers. No one

Absolutely amazed that even doubleing and completely blanketing me13, james had that kind of success with the lack of talent like brate, shorts hump and stocker to throw. These players would not ever start in any other team in the nfl

    Absolute amazement

  4. Tampa Tony Says:

@JM- Mariota also did it by playing 1 more game than Jameis as the Titans have not had their bye

  5. Wombat Says:

@Tampa Tony – Mariota also did it after missing 6 games last year thru injury, so still has played 5 games less than Jameis…

  6. Pit Says:

JM and Wombat MM did a visit to both of your mothers too

  7. Wombat Says:

    nice Pit…. great comeback.

  8. Kobe Faker Says:

Mm is a good player but needs to be protected and he can be injured and out of a game at any time

His body will be broken within 5 years of the nfl defenses

After 5 years he wont have his wheels to get away and only his noodle arm to beat defenses

The elite defenses can always beat his strenths and weaknesses

He will be a good regular season QB but always will be defeated in the playoffs when he confronts better defenses

Tenn and jon robinson has 5 years to try to win with mm arm and legs. After 5 years, he will be average QB always injuryed

  9. Kobe Faker Says:

Damn! Jessica simpson, at her prime at 18-21, her peach was probably the sweetest fruit to eat…yummy

  10. Greg Schiano Says:

I have to be fair! Jameis played well and the defense was a lot more effective.

As for Mike Evans, I will be boycotting anything he has to do with. The people who volunteer to fight for his right to protest are not those we should be disrespecting.

Everyone has the right to protest. Pick up a sign….walk down the sidewalk and state your opinion! The fact that Mike Evans is bringing politics to football has me very frustrated! Do not protest the all volunteer military who do not get to be political and do not get to state their opinions!

    No class!

They both are good young quarterbacks the difference is Jaboo is OUR QUARTERBACK. SO GO CHEER FOR MM WITH THE TITANS AND WE GOT JABOO HERE

  12. SB with Jameis Says:

Any of you sorry phucks still mentioning Mariota need to turn in your fan card. You are Pathetic

  13. Guzzie Says:

Hold your horses Bucs fans, we beat a 2-7 team at home, that completely imploded turning the ball over at least 4 times, the Bucs need to beat a real team before we can get excited, and beating a Cam-less Panthers team doesn’t help, and Mariota sure looks like a superstar, maybe the real superstar is GM Jon Robinson, miss that guy

  14. R.O. Says:

Ummm… MM is 23 yrs old. The record is the Youngest. Not anything else. So not sure what the school girl bickering is about.

  15. WeAreLost Says:

Why are we talking mariota??? Winston keep up the good work.

  16. mixxx31 Says:

Who gives a damn what Marcus Mariota is doing!

  17. Tony Says:

All of you who bring up Mariota are exactly what is wrong with the Bucs fan base. You are the equivalent of internet trolls. Always a bah humbug to everything and anything. It is your right to say as you please. Just know I feel sad for you and truly hope you find more happiness in your daily lives outside of the Bucs. I really mean that.

Go Jameis! I see the makings of a truly special talent emerging for the Bucs. So exciting!!

  18. Jameis Says:

Hold on their Guzzie, let’s not be so negative. Yes we only beat a 2-6 team (as that’s what their were before we handed them their arses) however this is exactly the type of game we have been losing or giving away in the past. It’s no secret we’ve had trouble taking the easy wins, or winning from home for that matter, often handing them away or failing to close them out. Yesterday we did all of that in style; we beat a team we should have, we did it and Won! at home, and we did it all while dominating the opponent. I’m not sure what you were watching for me the Bears didn’t give anything away; in both interceptions our guy jumped the route and made beautiful plays on the ball, the strip sack by Spence was all the rookie there, and we punched the ball out of Howard’s arms on the camera angle I saw. They didn’t give anything away… We Took It and we did it at home in spectacular fashion 🙂

Don’t get me wrong it’s not like I’m saying we potential Superbowl champions here, even making the playoffs is still a stretch but we did something we haven’t been able to do in the past and that’s growth so let’s celebrate what we witnessed and the possibilities of where this young team is heading!

  19. Chris Armstrong Says:

Pretty sure Mariota plays for Tennessee. This is a Tampa Bay fan site, talking about a pretty cool achievement by our franchise QB. Please spread your Mariota manure over there. God bless Jameis, and god bless our Buccaneers!

  20. Rod Munch Says:

But wait, according to 70% of the people on this message board Winston is a bust and he’s awful and Mike Glennon should be the starting QB.

  21. AtlBucFanDan Says:

“Oh, there they go. There they go, every time I start talkin’ ’bout boxing, a white man got to pull Marcus Mariota out they a$s. That’s their one, that’s their one. Marcus Mariota! Marcus Mariota! Let me tell you something, once and for all-Marcus Mariota [is] good; but compared to Jameis Winston, Marcus Mariota ain’t sh!t.”
