Aside from a shaky start to the game, it is hard not to like what one saw from the Bucs yesterday.

Yeah, even Joe was geeked.

The running game was strong, the defense was strong, America’s Quarterback, Pro Bowler Jameis Winston was accurate, there was even a pass rush on Sideshow Bob who was thrown to the ground four times.

John Breech of CBS Sports was so moved, he gave the Bucs an “A.”

The award for best Week 7 performance by a running back who started the season as a third-stringer goes to Jacquizz Rodgers, who steamrolled the 49ers for 154 yards on Sunday. Rodgers wasn’t the only impressive part of the Bucs offense though: Jameis Winston threw for 269 yards and three touchdowns. The Bucs totaled 513 yards in this game, marking just the fourth time since 1981 that they’ve totaled 510 or more yards in a game.

Yeah, the Bucs beat a garbage team. They are supposed to be beat garbage teams, not lay down.

As Dirk Koetter famously said last year, “The only thing people give a sh!t about are wins.”

I’m as excited as anyone, but the truth is the 49ers are probably the worst team in the entire NFL. They don’t have a good team, good QB or good coach. But the Raiders have all of those. I’m withholding my celebrations until I see if they can beat the Raiders at home next week. Until then I’m remaining cautiously optimistic.

  2. Pete Says:

    I am celebrating!
The Bucs went on the road, fell behind, rallied and won.
    It was great.
    Go Bucs!!!

  3. Sunny Says:

Yes we won , but let’s not forget the horrible start we had and how kap was able to run at will , raiders r much better team

  4. Ndog Says:

Let’s not forget we have the most negative fans in the country.

You guys have to take happiness where you can get it. The Bucs won a game to become 3-3. That doesn’t mean they are going to the super bowl, it just means we beat a crap team and we are NOT the crap team for a change. If we beat the Raiders, that will be even better but if we lose to the Raiders because they are a better team then so be it. I’ll take the wins for the last two weeks and be happy that things are starting to get better. We still have far to many holes on the team to compete with the better teams in the league but at least maybe we wont finish in the bottom of th south again.

I think two words refute the notion that Bucs fans should not be excited.

    Winston

    Evans

    Go Bucs!

  8. Harry in Costa Rica Says:

All this negativity is sad. Enjoy the moment. Life is short – who knows if you will be around to see them play the Raiders. Geeze

  9. FLBoyInDallas Says:

I don’t see any negative comments, so not sure what you’re referring to. Anyway, Bucs fans have been getting excited for years after a win only to be kicked in the nuts the following week. After awhile it’s normal human behavior to either start wearing a cup so those nut-kicks don’t hurt as much or just stop celebrating over one single win against the worst team in the league. That’s not negativity, it’s just being practical.

So FLBoy you should only root for the Yankees, Lakers, Alabama and Red Wings cause they are the only teams that wins over and over and over the course of time. Its the climb that makes it fun and you clearly are missing the climb.

  11. Lou. Says:

Please remember: the Bucs have shown themselves more than capable of losing to mediocre teams as well as downright bad ones. And players in the past have then complained how overconfidence had done them in.

This win is good. We Bucs fans are easy to please but hard to satisfy.

  12. Ocala Says:

The Bucs core is young and very talented.

The Bucs have the best young QB in the NFL and one of the best young WR and LB in the NFL.

The Bucs obviously need to improve both safety positions and defensive line depth, but the most glaring need is at the WR and TE positions. Outside of Mike Evans our top receivers are two undrafted free agents and our top TE is an undrafted free agent.
They are players that deserve to be on NFL rosters, but they are not what you want as starters.

Despite the obvious weaknesses this team has, it is fairly obvious the team has a great shot to make a run at the playoffs this year and should be a playoff team for many years to come.

all i wanted was for the bucs to make the 49ers look like the 49ers. after a scary start, mission accomplished.

  14. KY Buc Fan Says:

All i want every week is a “W”in and we got another 1 this week! Enough said, Period!
