Done for 2016

Another serious injury knocks out a Buccaneer.

Rookie linebacker Devante Bond, the sixth-round pick out of Oklahoma, has been placed on injured reserve. He’s done for the year with a bad hamstring.

Bond was inactive during the first two games. The roster move brings linebacker Josh Keyes back to the roster. Largely a special teammer, Keyes has bounced on and off the team since last year.

    OK, heard enough today. 2 games in and things getting ugly. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are cursed! True story..

  2. Tampabaybucfan Says:

    Wow….injuries starting to mount.

  3. University of Seffner Says:

    This week hasn’t been too positive for the Bucs. From coming home from a beating in Arizona, ASJ arrested, and now injuries.

    WORLD CLASS COACHING STAFF, you got your work cut out for ya! There’s not gonna be enough players left on the roster to coach the LOVIE out of!

    Lots of hamstring issues related to resting too much in the pre-season. Bad call by Kotter to rest them so much.

  6. Stpetebucsfan Says:

    OK Big Hog that was funny!

  7. Buccfan37 Says:

    Not cursed, just befuddling ineptness.

    @bighog that’s a good one…

    @shouldhave…I agree….too many walk thru’s and too many practices cut short because dirk wanted to preserve our players…now they’re dropping like flies….3 players out with hamstrings….players still working to get in football shape…we’ll see how sunday goes but our depth is taking a hit….this is when coaches have to get real creative…we’ll see what type of coaches we have…GO BUCS!!!

    I’m sure a 6th Rd pick got all the rest he wanted during preseason. He’s been out since the 3rd or 4th preseason game anyway.

    I’m beginning to question the strength training coaches for this team. I swear it seems like The Bucs have the worst injury plagued seasons year after year.

  11. CreamsicleBananaHammock Says:

    If you think this guy is hurt, then I have a degree from Trump university to sell you

    Teams do this all the time…they’re keeping his rights without taking up a practice squad spot or risk another team signing him. Since when has a hamstring injury in week 2 been a season ending injury?

    Shrewd move by Licht here if they like the kids potential but don’t think he’s ready to contribute yet

    @creamsicle
    Bucs did the same thing with Kenny bell.Hope it works out better than that move.

    @shouldhave
    I blame the nfl and players association agreement for multitude of injuries on all nfl teams.Training camp is not the same as it used to be.And Creamsiicle
    is right,its a protection move.
    No Dr. but Evans missed some of part of preseason and one game last year.
    Now if its torn that would be different.
    AS far as training camp, would rather see longer camp and 2 less preseason
    games.

  14. Mike Johnson Says:

    Next man up peoples. Injuries are a part of the game. 31 other teams got injuries too! Time for our new Gods (coaches) to earn those fat salaries.
    Somebody..some player out there must be..Youngry!! Show us what you’s got 2nd and 3rd squad. Bring up them inactives. All call baby. MAYDAYyyyy!!!!
    No excuses. 14 games left.

    The Buc’s should check out undrafted local Darryl Monroe Jr, he’s from central Florida and has a crazy motor. Check him out on youtube, all four of his college seasons showing highlights.
