Play Of The Day Yesterday

Fans loudly approve big play.

Fans loudly approve big play.

As Joe has stated, it’s hard to see each and every move of 90 players on a practice field with one pair of eyes, even two or three.

So the following may or may not have been the play of the day yesterday.

But it surely got the biggest reaction from fans watching at One Buc Palace. America’s Quarterback, Pro Bowler Jameis Winston, dropped back and lofted a pretty pass to the right side, where tweety Austin Seferian-Jenkins was running a crossing pattern from the left.

The pass may have been a hair too far in front of ASJ but he reached with an outstretched left paw and hauled it in and scored six.

A video crew of the Bucs just happened to record it. Enjoy.

    Jameis sure looked a lot like Ryan Griffin on that play…

    @joe
    we may just be witnessing the rebirth of ASJ.I think our recievers with the
    long reach are a definite plus for Jameis.I like Brate also,but ASJ can give you
    a 16 yard catch average and more YAC yards. Koetter sent a wake call,and the sleeping giant appears to be waking up.But he still has more work to do.
    Somehow ,I think it is easier to get out Koetter’s doghouse than Lovie’s.

    we finally seem to have a coaching staff intent on getting the most out of our players. Gotta Love it! Go Bucs.

  4. JWBUCS Says:

    I agree with Bdorry55…. #4 on Jersey and lighter skinned than Jameis… Back up Quarterback put the throw in a safe place for offense only could catch! Great job by ASJ also, very much hope he gets totally squared away… Not only for his own best interest of a product career, but I would love to see a huge Bucs Team contribution.

    ASJ has the skills to be a high profile player for years to come with Tama Bay, but it is up to him to commit and make the sacrifices Right Now!

    I think it is way too early to suggest that about the Great Black Hype at this point.

    I’m hoping you are right, but props when props are earned. He had a good play here. One play does not equal a rebirth. Ten plays don’t in practice.

    Game time…that’s when he has to prove it.

    Man cut the bum!!! Some of you people are nuts the kid is 23 he will grow up!!!

  8. DemBoyzFromDaBay727 Says:

    Sum of u ppl didn’t even want to give this kid a chance. Let him display his talents with a full season under his belt, he’s had some bad luck so far and got hit by the injury bug. But like Ive said b4 wait till this kid “gets it” and stays healthy for a full season, he will take this offense to another level. He’s got all the talent and ability in the world for a TE. It doesn’t always happen right away but if your patience like the bucs have been, then good things come to those who wait.

  9. Buccfan37 Says:

    ASJ has taken all of the disgruntled fans horseradish and now is set to haul in the high fives. Wouldn’t that be nice and right on time. Every big bit helps.

  10. 1sparkybuc Says:

    Koetter worked with a pretty decent TE in Atlanta, and made the comparison if ASJ can just focus. Hopefully he will. Durability is a concern for me, but I would let him play out his rookie contract before making any drastic decisions. Some guys take longer to mature. The talent and ability is there. The question is, can he stand up to this level of competition, mentally and physically? Time will tell.

    He’s a big dude

  12. John Says:

    Idk if that is Americas quarterback

    Looks like Jameis is wearing a new number and a new skin tone.

    As others have said, that’s probably Ryan Giffin.

    @Bonzai
    you may also be interested in the fab 5 on ASJ over at pewter report.He really seems to be getting his head in the right place. Most people think that was job 1.

    Well I’m glad we got that squared away. Lol

  16. SCBucsFan Says:

    You can see Jameis and his #3 in the background. You don’t even need to examine the guy throwing.

    By noticing that was Griffin not Jameis….you made the best catch of all, my friend!
