    Full pads today!!! The competitive nature of these players feels free right now. Best believe mind sets will clash today. To that I say welcome back to football baby! Go bucs!

  2. BUC4EVER Says:

    DK proves as an NFL HC you can actually speak to reporters and answer questions without being a jacka**, demeaning the reporter or mumbling through with canned responses…

    The honesty is apparent to the players and have to believe it is going to show through on Sunday’s

    I’ve replayed this three times. Not one “Simple as that”.

    @Buc4ever
    agree with your post and love the candid responses Koetter gives.Also want him to reserve the right to straighten out a reporter if their statement is unfair or inaccurate.Some of our beat writers could use some straightening out.

    I also second Buc4ever’s post.

    The worst jerk on God’s earth when it comes to the media was Bobby Knight.

    Talk about a guy with a Napoleon complex!

    So he coached the Olympic team when it was still college kids. I covered one of the prep games between a team of NBA players and Knight’s Olympic squad of college kids.

    It was obviously after the NBA season and the pros basically phoned it in. Who can blame them? It was truly a meaningless game for them, they were doing their country a favor by even participating. They had lost a lot of their conditioning because the game took place in what was normally their down time.

    And so early in the post game press conference a reporter asked Knight if he felt his team got a good enough workout considering the NBA guys appeared in off season shape.

    A perfectly legitimate question!!! Knight just went off…ranting at the reporter..trying to intimidate him and all the rest of us.

    One of my life’s fantasies never materialized. I was always hoping some player would forfeit his career…a journalist..anybody would lose it and b slap the obnoxious Knight. When he choked that player if society was just the player should have had the right to beat the helll out of the bully.

    Knight is a sick sociopath.

    I don’t even have to hear Koetter to get a grasp of what he and his positive flow says anymore. The players are buying in, the fans are buying in, even the show me first fans are feeling a bit of the change of confidence and what energy lays ahead with the overall competitive rally. Lies ahead didn’t fit there.
