Tracking Rams At Buccaneers In September

April 14th, 2016
NFL: Tampa Bay Buccaneers at St. Louis Rams

A clue before tonight’s NFL schedule release at 8 p.m.

Happy NFL Schedule Day!

It’s one of Joe’s favorite holidays, and it was a big topic of conversation on Joe’s favorite morning radio show today, PFT Live, heard on the NBC Sports Radio family of channels.

Host Mike Florio, guru of ProFootballTalk.com, talked to longtime NFL writer Michael David Smith, who said he expects the NFL to give the Rams the easiest possible (on paper) early-season schedule to help stimulate excitement in Los Angeles. Smith said the Rams getting off to a good start would be a desire of the league.

Well, the Rams play the entire NFC South this season, and the Bucs are the defending champs of last place. The Rams have owned the Bucs in recent years, too, including a humiliation late last year on national television. Surely you remember Case Keenum owning Lovie Smith’s defense.

Los Angeles will play the Bucs in Tampa, the when will be revealed tonight. Their only other road game against a team worse than the 2015 Bucs is against the 49ers.

The take from Michael David Smith makes a lot of sense. So Joe is even more eager to see when the Rams come to town.

Sounds like the rams will be here in September. Good! Lets get them in here before they get used to their new city, make them fly across the country and play at 1pm est, and beat them for a change. Could help the Bucs get off to a good start! I’m guessing we will open up on the road since it seems we have opened up at home like 4 out of last 5 years so maybe that would mean we open at NO or ATL. We have a TOUGH schedule with 3 trips to the west coast and one to KC. Even though we don’t deserve it, I hope we get a MNF game… it’s been a while and hopefully with our stars on offense, we get one.

Man, Case freaking Keenum did beat us like a drum on national television. Thanks incompetent Lovie Smith. That may have been just the thing that did you in. So many embarrassing outings under that loser it is hard to distinguish.

  3. MadMax Says:

Rams just traded up to the #1 pick from the Titans. 😯

  4. MadMax Says:

So now the Titans will be picking 15th and if Stanley is still there when we pick, we just might be able to work a nice deal in a trade back and still land a DE/WR/CB. They fleeced the Rams so they have quite a few picks to spare lol. You know they still need some O line help. I’d tell them to give us their two 2nds and switch positions.

Can’t wait for tonight so I know what date to book a holiday in Tampa Bay!

  6. MadMax Says:

    Titans received a first (15th), 2nd (43), 2nd (45), 3rd (76).

    1st and 3rd from 2017!!!

Titans Gm is Licht disciple they just got all over the Rams and that is crazy they gave up so much for Im guessing Jared Goff because he is a “Cali” guy maybe….they need to fire Fischer and get that below 500 guy out of there now….bucs definitely do not need to be giving up that much to trade up…get more picks licht

  8. MadMax Says:

It just leaked they did a secret heavy workout with Wentz. My guess is him.

  9. DallasBuc Says:

Wow the worst trade in history. Shocking. I guess if you have no fan base or an LA fan base then there is zero need for accountability.

  10. EP Says:

Bring em!!! The just made the worst draft trade i have ever seen. http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap3000000652822/article/titans-have-traded-the-no1-pick-to-the-rams

  11. duthsty rhothdes Says:

Mad Max, sounds good, just no clue why trade up so high to grab wentz? NFL qbs have such a high fail rate and then give up the future for a 1aa guy….or even Goff, those just don’t seem like top 2 picks….i guess time will tell…i want bucs getting stanley or Nkmdiche

  12. Buccfan37 Says:

It’s about time the Rams come to Tampa. So the Rams are the NFL’s new darling.

  13. 813bucboi Says:

the rams are in trouble…this is the wrong year to trade up or even draft a franchise qb…there is no franchise changer at qb this year imo…that was last year and maybe this up coming season with d.watson, b.kaaya and a few others…that was a horrible trade…they’ve owned us the last 2 or 3 years…the losing stops now!!!….GO BUCS!!!

  14. Pickgrin Says:

Seems like a bad year to be giving up two 1st, two 2nds and two 3rd to draft a QB. I could see doing it last year when they would have had a choice between Winston and Mariota – but this year’s QBs are not as good as last year’s. Dumb move IMO.

I wonder if the Bucs would have considered such a trade last year to give up the rights to drafting Winston?

  15. CocoaBchBuc Says:

@Pickgrin…..I so want to believe we aren’t that stupid to give up the rights to a franchise….especially after seeing what is avaible for QB’s this year..but we all have seen some incredible reaches/insanity in the draft. I believe we have found our leader, don’t want to even comtiplate the secnaro you put out there. Go Bucs…
