Vernon Hargreaves reveals which of his new Bucs brothers reached out quickly
So what Buccaneers have reached out to their newest brother?
Buccaneers.com provided the answer, via a video interview of first-round-pick Vernon Hargreaves.
That would be America’s Quarterback, Jameis Winston, Louis Murphy and Gerald McCoy. Hargreaves said they all reached out via text and showed him “a lot of love.”
Interesting, last night on the Buccaneers Radio Network heard on WDAE-AM 620, Hargreaves said he had a long chat with defensive coordinator Mike Smith. That impressed Joe, that Smith already is in the guys ear before he can finish celebrating.

I think the best case scenario would be for him to turn out like Mattheau aka Honey Badger..

Some of the haters here have fixated on his height. OK that is a measurable that is less than ideal but it’s not the determining factor in VHG’s success or failure.
People have already pointed out Revis, Ronde and the many others who have excelled at that height.
But if you’re going to point out that deficiency how about a positive. All the scouts and pundits kept talking about how he is “thick” built like a running back and not afraid to tackle.
Again Ronde played…survived at 5-10 (and I wonder about that) and 185. VHG is 20 lbs heavier!!! What DC doesn’t like a CB that can bring some smack to his tackles.
We’ll be fine. He doesn’t need to be Revis or even Ramsey…he simply needs to be good.

I’m guessing you say this because he is “small” huh?
VHIII literally has at least 5″ on the honey badger based on their height and vertical jump (5’9 with 34″ vert compared to 5’10.5 and 39″ vert).
He also has about 15-20 lbs on the badger but with the same 40 time and quick twitch athleticism.

He’s 1.5″ shorter than Revis but 1″ higher in his vert. (39 to 38).
What a worthless midget smh
Definitely a tick slower than Revis but same thickness. (204 lbs)
