Miko Is Back!

Returned to social media.

Yes, Miko is back! And we are all better for it.

After deactivating her famous Twitter account last week, Miko Grimes, the colorful, flamboyant wife of new Bucs corner Brent Grimes, returned yesterday and communicated with Bucs fans.

Miko is so happy to be a Bucs fans, and she addressed why she shut her Twitter account down, and it had nothing to do with the Bucs but everything to do with tiring from abuse hurled at her from hateful Dolphins fans.

So Bucs fans, feel free to follow Miko. She seems excited to engage with Bucs fans, but has no use for the haters.

Joe can’t blame her.

Stop giving her the 5 seconds of fame already! Give us articles about bucs football not this drama queen.

  2. rayjay1122 Says:

I am surprised how much attention a players wife is getting in coverage over the player. I would rather look at Miko but would rather read about Brent. So I propose more articles about Brent Grimes with the photos of his wife. Just saying. 🙂

  3. Mike Johnson Says:

If our Bucs local media were smart, they would not give this…. distractive loudmouth wife attention. Problem is, they will. And she will feed on it. The newspapers and various media outlets love this kind of thing. It sells. I’m just concerned she will revert back to her calling out players and coaches. Thus creating distractions and hard feelings amongst our players. We do not need any of this. But I guess Bucs Mngt knew this prior to signing Grimes. I just don’t have any good feelings about this woman..at all.

  4. Bucs SB with Jameis Says:

^^^^^^^This! However, people do know where their bread gets buttered.

  5. Off the Cuff Says:

As long as her husband performs on the field, she can say whatever she wants. These recent signings are as much about team attitude as they are individual ability.

  6. The Other Side of the Coin Says:

Disagree. As long as Miko is talking about Buc football and is a true fan it sounds like a lot of fun. I’m here for entertainment through Buc football in most any form. If she can add to that, I say go for it.

  7. MarineBucsFan Says:

I think Brent and Miko just needed a fresh start. Things got out of hand in Miami with Miko, people get in their feelings and regardless of right and wrong it was time to move on. We are lucky to have a talent like Brent on this team. I am not concerned with distractions from team Grimey. Winning cures everything, lets go out and get some W’s.

  8. Fsuking Says:

I just know I’m gonna hate her.

  9. godzilla13 Says:

Go Miko Go..about time we got some colorful, flamboyant style around here. When I mention a story about Miko, I get everyone’s attention.

  10. ATLBucsFan Says:

Miko = website hits = smiles on the Joes faces. Nothing more to it than that.

  11. WalkdaPlank Says:

Can’t wait to see Joe’s reaction when she tweets out that America’s Quarterback sucks after a loss.

  12. boomer33 Says:

At first glance of her picture here, I thought that she must have sworn she would cut off her right arm to be a Bucs fan. Now that’s dedication. Welcome to the club, darlin’.

  13. BucTrooper Says:

I have a feeling “Real Housewives of Tampa Bay” is coming soon and she’s going to be our Nene Leaks.

  14. phreakybucfan Says:

Joe’s first article about Miko has over 200 comments. Expect more articles abor Miko. I’m all for it. No such thing as too much content. Just sayin’

  15. StPeteBucsFan Says:

We’ve had our FA signings and now we have to wait according to that NFL site that counts down for us…46 days, 6 hours, and 10 minutes until the draft.

Nothing much going on in the next month and a half except for talk.

Seems like talk is Miko’s speciality and since it’s the time of the year for talk Im fine.

When the draft actually arrives she’ll get crowded off the page for a bit.

  16. PleadingBuc Says:

Joe, love your site. PLEASE keep it to football and don’t waste time on player wives unless it involves a charity event.

  17. JAB83 Says:

Like I said… 1 out of 4 articles from JBF will feature her from now on… Call it what you will but it ain’t really that entertaining to be honest… It feels more like lazy journalism if nothing else… This will be my last comment on a Grimes article not featuring the player… Whatever his name is… Or am I mistaken and we signed the first female in NFL history???

  18. ElioT Says:

This is great for the Joes.

They can generate more hits without generating any content of their own. Yay!

Can’t wait for the stupid nickname they come up with for Mrs. Grimes.

  19. "That guy" Says:

One day she will take half of Brent’s assests.

  20. Joe Says:

Joe makes no apologies for what he writes. Joe writes what is interesting to Joe. Always has, always will.

Joe finds Miko interesting if not entertaining, therefore Joe will write about her.

Joe also believes it is news to clear the air that the Bucs did not order a player’s wife to shut down her social media activities.

Joe runs a business and the NFL is entertainment (though covering the Lovie years began to become a chore). Joe isn’t going to chase people away writing about, for example, Da’Quan Bowers pumping weights.

If you find, for example, wordy articles about practice squad players more interesting and/or entertaining, feel free to read what you wish. That is your prerogative.

  21. Tom Edrington Says:

Is “colorful and flamboyant” another way of describing:

    Drunk and disorderly” ????

  22. phreakybucfan Says:

Is it too late to claim joeettebucsfan.com. just sayin’.

  23. phreakybucfan Says:

Maybe I missed it, but I still haven’t heard Pablo’s opinion on the subject. Just sayin’

  24. jb Says:

A lotta hate being generated for a woman that simply speaks her mind….sometimes a bit louder than some people would like, but C’mon……give the girl a chance.
BTW, she’s not gonna be suiting up on Sundays, her husband will.

  25. dreambig Says:

Joe – You have a very low threshold of people you admire.

JB – There is a big difference between speaking your mind and behaving like a nasty individual. Hopefully she has learned from her experiences and grown into a better person and will try to really support not only her husband but the Buccanners as well, good or bad. It is bad enough our team has sucked for over a decade, we really don’t need to put up with the honey boo-boo of NFL wifes.

  26. Name Required Says:

She’s her own person and can tweet whatever she likes. This is America.

How many people out there have a spouse that would go to bat like she does? I love it.

  27. dreambig Says:

Name Required – My beautiful wife would gladly die for me or my kids or just as gladly clean your clocks for messing with any of us, but she also has enough class, dignity, and grace that she only compliments me in my professional life, When she is on my arm I only look better. Do you have even a glimmer of what I am talking about?

  28. Joe Dunn Says:

if you care at all about what this tramp has to say you are more of a loser than a true sports fan

  29. phreakybucfan Says:

Miko probably has more footbal knowledge than half the trolls posting here. Except for me of course. Just sayin’

  30. Name Required Says:

If you don’t like it, get off social media. The professional multimillionaire football player doesn’t seem to feel the need to silence his wife. Why should you?

  31. ryan Says:

I’m glad Joe retweeted her today. gave me a chance to block her from my feed

  32. NashvilleBuc Says:

    Click click boom.

  33. bucs4life86 Says:

I agree with Joe. I think she brings entertainment to social media. Nutting wrong with that. I also believe Grimes needed a fresh start with the (dumpster fire) down south. Gotta admit that was funny. The fins are a mess so I’m sure there glad to get the hell outta there. How do u release your starting corner that made 4 str8 pro bowls? Wow, all because of Miko? I think they will do just fine here. As long as Brent maintains his level of play. He will be valued a tad bit more here as well.

  34. OAR Says:

If you don’t have anything nice to say ……tweet that $h!t.

  35. Joe Dunn Says:

Definition of Twitter in dictionary: The single most effective way to WASTE TIME ever invented.
