Jason The Bartender

Law and order.

Law and order.

Yes, Brent Grimes, if you ask Bucs folks, does not look like he will turn 33 this summer.

And he doesn’t play like it either.

In fact, Bucs AC/DC-loving general manager Jason Licht said Grimes looks so youthful, if he didn’t know any better, he’d swear he was still in college.

“I’d probably card him if I was a bartender,” Licht said. “He plays like a young guy. He still has a lot of energy. He continues to make plays.”

Later, Bucs coach Dirk Koetter agreed with Licht saying Grimes “would probably have a hard time getting into Applebee’s and having a cold one right now without getting carded.”

    I just don’t see this as an up-grade! OVER/PAID!

  2. Pickgrin Says:

Of course he was overpaid TROLL. He was a free agent with skills.

The claim he is not an upgrade just displays your ignorance of football HOG.

Did everyone see Brent 42″ plyometrics jump box workout (2:45) when he was rehabbing his torn achilles?

Yo, this “standout” cornerback plays hard, tackles hard and is hardly invisible…haven’t seen this type since Barber, end of story…

I agree with Miko (?). The guy’s solid. If nothing else, he provides VALUABLE depth.

@ Pickgrin: Only MY Opinion! Never been sensitive to words!

Age is a very individual thing. Jerry Rice at 40 was still better than plenty of WR’s in their 30’s.

Brent Grimes just seems to have won the ovarian lottery and gotten great genes.

How can anyone not see Brent Grimes as an upgrade? I will ignore that comment. He has gone to the Pro Bowl the last three consecutive years. Grimeswas ranked #95 on the NFL Top 100 2014 edition. Last year he was once again the Dolphjns number one CB and recorded 4 INT in just 10 games played. Another comment said “If nothing else, he provides valuable depth. Depth? Brent Grimes aqnd Josh Robinson will be our starting CB’s this year and with our improved pass rush (Robert Ayers, Gerold McCoy-Sheldon Rankins-Kevin Dodd), improved Safety (Karl Joseph) and our linebackers (Lavonte David-Kwon Alexander)
