Jameis is sharpening his skills with many Bucs this month.

Yes, America’s Quarterback, Jameis Winston, is working like an Olympian this offseason preparing to lead the Buccaneers like glory days Hall of Famers of Tampa Bay’s past.

Yesterday at the NFL Owners meetings, Dirk Koetter talked about how Jameis is throwing “off campus” with Mike Evans. But there are other names wisely joining the franchise quarterback for work off the clock.

Jameis named several before throwing out the first pitch tonight at Steinbrenner Field before the Rays-Yankees spring training game.

Hardworking former Bucs beat writer Andrew Astleford was sharing on Twitter and Joe called him for details.

“I’ve been throwing with everyone, even undrafted free agents that we have,” Jameis said. “Tevin Westbrook and Andre Davis, we linked up a couple times. I actually was with Ryan Griffin and Donteea Dye the other day. I can’t wait for my guy Kenny Bell to get back in time and Adam Humphries. You know, we’re getting this whole thing started up pretty quickly. And I’m excited, man. I’m very excited.”

These are very smart men. Working hard and building chemistry with Jameis is a great way to secure your Bucs future.

Jameis added that he’s been working out a lot, “trying to connect with the guys.”

    Like-a-Boss..

You forgot to shrug when Humphries was mentioned.

  3. CreamsicleBananaHammock Says:

Jameis really seems to love Adam Humphries. If he’s on the 53 man roster next year, my hunch would be the only reason for it is because Jameis is banging the table to keep him there

  4. Defense Rules Says:

Interesting that James mentioned Kenny Bell and that he can’t wait for him to get back. Made me wonder … What’s Kenny Bell’s status right now? I would’ve thought he’d be 100% by this point.

  5. CrustyCrab Says:

Jameis has been banging the drum of Kenny Bell also I can’t wait to see them two book up on some deep passing plays. Kenny’s speed is what this offense is missing.

  6. Mike Johnson Says:

Ditto CrustyCrab. Another flash in camp who got injured..Kenny Bell. Butt..if he does not shine and prove he can stay healthy? I think Koetter is going to release him. Same with ASJ. Koetter is no fool. He knows he has to win. There will not be as much wiggle room this year. You either produce or…you sit on the couch..with us Buc fans! I also get this feeling Humphries is going to be a sticker..a keeper. You see he is like Brate. They want to be in the NFL. They are Hungry!

  7. R.O Says:

I would have thought KB would be attached at the hip to JW. Big offseason for the Afro… Didn’t show anything last preseason.

  8. Howard Cosell Says:

It’s like Brooks and Sapp: Those guys took losing and slacking personally and they wouldn’t tolerate it.

That’s what we’re seeing with the 2016 Buccaneers.
Howard is fired up and ready to buy tickets just to be there for the spectacle.

  9. unbelievable Says:

JW and Kenny Bell were real tight last year during the offseason, so it’s no surprise he’s looking forward to getting him back.

I too thought Bell would be healthy by now. Jameis loves himself some Adam Humphries.

Still can’t wait to see what Kenny Bell can do. He was a star at Nebraska. The bigger the moment the better he performed. I’m not saying he will be a #1 guy. He can be a slot guy or possession WR for many years to come. Even if he only makes it #4 WR, that’ll still be good for a 5th round pick. I think he is better than that though.

  11. Guzzie Says:

OTAs are next month, if Kenny bell and Adam humphries show improvement from last year, which they should, doubtful the Bucs draft a WR, they both ran low 4.4s, I think bell ran a 4.41, and hump ran a 4.45, go 4 wide with the 6’5 monsters and 2 jitterbugs with speed that’ll be tough to defend

  12. BuccaneerBonzai Says:

Weren’t Winston and Kenny Bell roommates last year?

  13. BuccaneerBonzai Says:

Kenny Bell has the most value as a returner…but Winston may well turn him into a great WR.

  14. Adrien Says:

JW loves Humphries because he was pretty much the only guy that actually caught the football when it hit him in the hands last year

  15. 813bucboi Says:

happy to see andre davis practicing with jw…if he had a real qb at usf he could’ve been a 2nd-3rd round pick…kid has great size(6’2) decent speed and most importantly great hands….why the hell isn’t Kenny bell with them…if he aint rehabbing he should be practicing…keep them hammys loose…GO BUCS!!!

  16. Born again bucs fan Says:

I think Humphries will out perform Bell. Keep Bell as our return man and have Humphries as our slot. The dude is hungry and I can see him being great!
